From my understanding, the answer to your question is this: The gene they are talking about in the vide0 is responsible for the command to build an eye, possibly also where to build an eye. However other genes determine what kind of eye is built.

Those of us who understand the factuality of evolution, have no need of showing these idiots how, why or that it occurred....It's a matter of natural selection...There children will, or will not be taught the way the world actually works...If they are taught that Jesus will come back from heaven to save them/burn us, then they are less likely to be successful, therefor giving our children an evolutionary advantage..

DNA is not irreducibly complex. You should try to understand what you are talking about.

It is information, and it is limited, therefore it is reducible.

If there was this much evidence of any religion being correct, then they wouldnt have to convince anyone to believe.

"Irreducible Complexity" like its cousin "Macro Evolution" are straw man falacies cooked up by young earth creationists in an attempt to battle evolution by natural selection. No credible scientist gives these concepts the time of day. The eye was once thought to be irreducibly complex but now we know it is the product of a long process of evolution. For DNA to happen by chance would indeed take too long to be possible. Evolution is the opposite of chance. Read a bit.

they have to. Creationists for example make it even more simple, because they want to do propaganda work and really manipulate people, people just keep listening if it's ´very simple to understand. Evolution is complicated, to complicated to get attention if it has to defend itself against pure stupidety. So they have to do what they can to educate people.

It's bizarre and has no place in science. It doesn't even deserve mention. This is what a lot of Americans don't seem to get....

Science shows are wonderful. They reveal to people the beauty of science. It is very complex, but fundamentally simple. These dramatized shows then, having grasped one's attention may lead them to delve deeper into the subject if they wish. There are plenty of textbooks out there and this is merely a summary.
