ENO didn't make it as an "artist", he took another path, He has done more harm to u2, by making thier music UN-REPRODUCEABLE IN CONCERT! Fucking Period! They suck in concert, they are the Abby Road recordings, I like the music, will buy it ,but I wouldn't pay ten cents to see them live.
It is there own fucking fault OVER PRODUCED! MUSIC. After the last Album they should hang it up! Sorry mates the last album was SHIT
I miss the experimental techno U2...really Achtung Baby really kicked them off into the U2 sound of the 90's. But that doesn't mean I hate the Joshua Tree...that's a classic right there....but this is crazy and amazingly beautiful in its own way....a perfect album for the colder months and amazingly cinematic (hence the title "Original Soundtracks, Vol1"...yes I still hope for a Vol 2)....
Yes but Eno is a blessing and a curse, his sounds donot make it to the stage, and in the words of all U2 Members,,,, we are a live band First.!!! Eno is George Maritns' role in the Beatle toU2.
That is why the Beatles went Studio.
It is all good. But how many guitars can Edge play?
How would the Beatles ever Perform SGRT PEPRS Live, so we take the good with the bad.
Wire by u2 a live disaster! Sort of home comming Live Yuck. Unforgetable fire live PEE U Sorry
For those U2 fans that hate this album...please put down Achtung Baby and Joshua Tree and take a moment to open your earhole. It's an experimental album that really lives up to that billing. There are some incredible tracks on this album (along with a couple of iffy ones) but overall it's nice to see a band break from their musical norm and be successful at it. Too bad no Passengers Vol.2...oh well.
well it's not really a U@ album. It's more of a full on collaboration with ENo than anything they had done up to that point and it shows in the music. That said, most of the album is very good and some of the tracks I love. Very underrated album.
I used to love u2 now I just wish they would go away
this is just a bad example of self indulgent ambient crap it isn't even done well
I love Brian eno and it;s sad that Bono had to put a gun to his head to make this dumb album... Eno and harold budd are a great combo listen to those two they are truly gifted.
I've heard other Passengers songs for years now, but have never been lucky enough to obtain this album. I just came across this song today and feel shocked and weird when I heard this song for the first time because I feel used to it and I love it. I feel different now cuz I just heard it but I don't recognize why...
Island Records thought the album was too experimental to be an U2 album, that people wouldn't accept it and feared it would damage U2's reputation, so they called the "band" Passengers instead.
Sin duda, el espíritu de Godfrey Reggio y Philip Glass se encuentran presentes en este trabajo de video musicalizado por esa afortunada unión de dos grandes: Eno y U2
i don't know what miles davis would have thought of it...

Koyaanisqatsi: Life Out of Balance = wow, awesome movie... very dark. The end of that movie ties it all together. Passengers is a great album too.

Is their a remix of Zooropa?

The remixed version of "Lemon" is called "Melon". Nuff said.
161803 2 years ago
@161803
you're wrong Melon is a promo cd album with different U2's remixes, released for the members of the official fan club (Propaganda)

It's not a U2 song.... It's a Passengers song, Brian Eno have made it with some little help from U2. And it's poetry.
I love it. Great symbolism!

It's U2 with Brian Eno acting as a band member.
Island Records thought the album was too experimental to be an U2 album, that people wouldn't accept it and feared it would damage U2's reputation, so they called the "band" Passengers instead.
