Why don't you quit screwing around with toys and go get a "Revolution" 4 line stunt kite. It's not a toy. That or a 10' Flexifoil. They both are great. In the winds you were flying in, the Flexifoil would pull you along the ground sliding your feet.

I'm thinking about getting one of these but wondered about the weight of the kite because of the slider. How windy does it have to be to fly? Also whats the range on the remote like . Does the kite still respond well when the string is at full length?. Is the string strong and finally what does the trigger on the remote do?? Sorry for that essay.

Looked like a lot of fun to me and can't wait to fly it with my little boy. Tried to fly a real kite last year and they were always a disappointment - since i was little. I have flown high end stunt kite's and buggy kite and enjoyed RC for years (only got around to getting a 6ch CP heli this year) .... Personally, despite appreciating the novel aspect of it, I feel there are better ways to learn how to fly a 'stunt' kite!

I would take the 20$ and buy an entry level dual line. For the same money you can get a 2 line delta stunt kite made with fiberglass spars and ripstop nylon. I have owned ones made by the Go Fly A Kite company, and even the base model entry kite will fly circles around that battery eating monstrosity :P.

i think it would be amazing if they made a simple hand launch or discus launched glider, with simple up/down left right control that would be really cool, with a strong foam construction of course and with a 50ft throw have a 1min glide duration that would be pretty impressive

Thanks for the comments. Not a new cam, I just decided to try filming in HD instead. It still doesn't focus on airplanes moving fast and I cant turn off the Auto Focus either.

Weird that it is HD but no manual setting on it. Mine does HQ, but not HD and has a manual setting, no auto focus. Sometimes that autofocus is a real pain in the butt.
