  • That guy's voice is from Disney Channel!

  • Oh boy my Yorkie got me in sooooo much trouble, the number of times I had to rush to pull him out of the jaws of bigger dogs, one time I had to jump on a bench and keep him up in the air while the doberman he had gotten into a "skirmish" him wanted to get him back XD ... I miss him so much :( Died at 18 years of age, had him since I was 1, pretty much lived him life with him!

  • why am i watching this

  • idk my yorkie is very sweet .we rescued her from a puppymill at 5 ys old and even so,her temperament is great.

  • i have six year old yorkie and i want to know how long do they live?

  • @isidora121minime

    15-20 years :)

  • @isidora121minime around 13 years

  • My yorkie was a very active dog but it was never aggresive to anyone or another dog for that matter. It was the sweetest dog ever but very feisty. It was the best dog I ever had.

  • my got hit :(

  • I showed my yorkie pup this. They are so cute.He barks alot and i like it.Barking is a way of dogs talking so don't stop them.they are friendly but dont let little kids urt theor else they will be kind of mad at them.again they are so cute and really intelligent. Can also jump high.If this meets your standerd than a yorkie is for u.Thumbs up so everyone can see bedore commenting something bad.(I have a Puppy yorkshire.Already is jumping high and is easy to train. For me potty trainig was easy.

  • Anyone who believes that they are all "yappy" and "snappy" - that is what we call a Stereotype. If you meet Yorkie's that are "yappy" and "snappy" it is not *their* fault, it is the careless owner's fault. Some Yorkie owners believe that since they are small, that it is harsh to discipline them and correct their wrong behaviors. If some owners took responsibility and actually trained their Yorkie's, then the dogs would not have such a wrong Stereotype. So if you get a dog (any dog), train them.

  • @AYorkieNamedJill so true.. met owners of yorkies that are the most immature things. they need to discipline the dogs regardless of their small size

  • @Games2view Yes people are always surprised about how well trained and obedient my Yorkie is. They are also surprised with my knowledge of dogs. I've gotten used to it ahaha. x3

  • @AYorkieNamedJill Obviously a well trained dog of any breed will behave the way you want it to, but there is no denying that Yorkshire Terrier's are far more prone to developing yappy, narcissistic personalities. For whatever reason, it's the way nature intended them to be. If you have one that's well behaved, then it is only a testament to your training ability, not the Yorkshire breed.

  • @0TheBestMan That is what Vet's call a "Little Dog Complex". Anything that is bigger than them is usually percieved as a threat.

  • They always picked on my Great Dane. Their owners let them get away with being nasty little things cause they are small.

  • Thank God Yorkies were built in such small bodies. I don't think there is a UFC fighter in the WORLD that can handle a Yorkie the size of a Golden Retriever.

  • how did this end up in my history????lol wtf

  • They are very good dogs!

  • i have two yorkies right now.. a male a female.. my male yorkie broke his feet last september 2010.. he is is still under good care of the vets.. luckily the vets managed not to remove his feet.. it got broken because he played with the english bulldog of my boyfriend..

  • My friend gave me hers and I owned a silky terrier before 20 years ago and this yorkie never barked at all. I had to teach the yorkie how to be a normal boy dog again.

  • They look like mops, with little body's attached.

  • they're hilarious to watch, I love them.

  • its the disney channel narrator. i like this guy

  • i have 2 pomeranias that had a puppy yorkie!!

  • We have a yorkie too and he barks so seldom we initially thought he was mute! Every once in a while he'll go nuts for a few minutes and go at it, but other than that he's one of the quietest dogs I've ever encountered!

  • I have had 2 yorkies, my old yorkie actually challenged a wild dog and got hurt very bad, but we nursed him back to health.

My new yorkie is much friendlier, she'd rather find out who you are than attack you.

  • @Segeric

My dog did that to the larger sized pomeranian dog that bit him and walked him to an area to make a meal of him and laid him down to ready to eat him. I snuck up behind the large dog that was hurting my dog and I squeezed his nuts as super hard and fast as I could and he yelped in such horror and pain he let go my dog and I walked around to pick my baby up and the bad dog stayed down to lick himself.

  • yorkies are not yappy!!! i have a yorkie and the only time she barks is if i am playing with her or a stranger comes to our house.

  • @seanimallover4ever I agree with you. I grew up with Yorkies and we always trained them not to be yappy. :-)

  • We have had our Yorkie runt for over 9 years now. It has never bit anyone or even come close to it. We never treated it with anything other than LOVE. We never teased her or wrestled with her at all. Only held her and brushed her and loved on her. She is way too sweet. And, she is a very quiet dog too.

  • How does a dog who picks fights with things 50 times thier size get 4/4 for intelligence?

  • not true not all yorkies are fiesty and bite some are really nice and freindly like mine

  • @animegirlfan777 I agree

  • @animegirlfan777 yeah, this surprised me. ive never met an agressive yorkie.

  • @animegirlfan777 oh and also who has a yorkie that is friendly to all animal just give em kisses like bird and cat thumb up if ya do

  • Ah,yes,I love my yorkie,Toto's my little homie!About big dogs, yep!,he'll take 'em on!He will climb up the front of some of the vintage cars I work on and sit on the fender. They are very tenacious little dogs! Very curious and gutsy. How can you not love these little guys!My bright spot in my life.

  • When I first got mine, Jacque, he was afraid of his own shadow! Now, 1 year and 7 months later, he barks at anyone who even walks past the front door. And he's soooo nosey. He loves to observe his surroundings and growl out nearby sounds. I LOVE HIM!!! lbvvs

  • ha i have 3 dogs

    1 king charles

    1 west highland terror!

    1 yorkie

The yorkie is a girl and the rest are boys. When she is eating she will not let the other two dogs near her food.Once my king charles dared to do it she barked her head off at him.

  • @laurendinnage2 you have all the dogs that i want to have!!!! which one do you think is the easiest to look after?

  • @WinterPassedBy I got two more

    Chihuaha

    Pomerian

The easiest out of the three below would be the west highland terrier he isn't hungry alot and is very tame.

  • @laurendinnage2 my chihuahua got stolen :( so im planning on getting another one with my partner, I want something that doesn't really require lots of play time or walk chihuahua was perfect but I wouldn't want another one else it reminds me of the previous one :(

  • @WinterPassedBy I would think a pomerian doesnt need that much play. The one I own she is very relaxed and lazy. A chihuaha would of been a good choice though the one i own is very hyper.

  • My ex and I had a Yorkie named Sweatpea. She weighed 3 1/2 lbs. She took on a 110 lb. Black Lab and made the lab turn tail and hide behind it's master. Tough little dog. But they are super sweet and loving also. I've had three of them in my life. And my life is better for it.

  • my yorkie will take on a pitbull

  • i love how they say yorkies dont get along with children. but i have had my yorkie since i was 7, and we got along perfect :)

  • my yorkie used to kicks the shit out of my old lab murphy he was 150 pounds not fat muscle he took on a german shepard RIP Murphy

  • I dont agree with the grooming rating. I just keep my Yorkie in a puppycut (short on all sides except the face) and i rarely have to do anything to him. Just about 1 haircut every 3 or 4 weeks

  • that is so not true! it depends on the owner! my yorkie is the calmest dog i've seen.. yes, she plays and is very happy when she does, but she has never bitten or even barked at another dog.. she barks only when a stanger comes to our apartment, but if she sees it's not a treath, she goes and licks the hell out of them xD

  • My grandmother used to have like seven Yorkies. XD

I remember that one of them, Roy, was like the most casual dog in the entire world. You could pick him up by his back and then turn him to the sky, and he would lay there in your hand and chill out. XD

  • OH YES, this is true. <3

  • hah my yorkie isnt cute and cuddly he's actually chill also can be an asshole from time to time and he's smart as hell but i love em like a brother

  • it i have a yorkie that is 16 mon old and still have a lot of black in him will he still turn thats blue

  • CUTE! I too have one and i LOVE her!!

  • does anyone own a scorcky??? a yorkshire terrier and scottish terrier mix?? plz respond i need to now if theyre a good dog breed or not with children

  • i have a 15mon old yorkie

  • Annoying.

  • i have a 9 week yorkshire terrier puppy and she is so gorgeous haha her name is lily channel shes sleeping on my lap lol so spoiled puppy

  • This video is absolutely insane!

I have a Yorkie of my own and he is almost 11 months old and he is the quietest dog on the planet. The only time he will ever bark is when he's soo excited playing outside that he accidentally lets one bark out.

Though he is very protective over the door (runs to it when he hears any sound), he has never bitten anyone nor has he barked repetitively.

The Yorkies shown in this video have amateur owners.

This is my first dog and he's as silent as a Mute!

    <3my Rumi

  • @NavidZady is it difficult to look after a yorkie..?? im going to be buying one soon...can you give me a brief up about what is to be done..??

  • @butterflyfrolic To tell you the truth, I definitely recommend you watching at least a season of Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan. I live in Toronto and here its on the National Geographic Channel and TVTropolis. That is the show that'll teach you how to treat dogs the proper way.

Other than that, make sure you get your Yorkie his daily exercise and always have a toy that you will throw for him to get and chew on (Yorkies arent known for retrieving :P).

  • @NavidZady thannks soo much, sweetie!! im just psyched because im getting a yorkie!!!

  • @butterflyfrolic You're very welcome!! I'm hoping to see your new Yorkie soon! =D

  • @NavidZady your ugly

  • @americanbabe43 ????????????????

  • @NavidZady whats that for

  • I hate these little yappers.

My neighbour has 3 of these and threw pine cones at em to scare em and i even scream and jump in anger at them because they annoy me.

  • I got three of these terraterriers!!!!!!! They will take on any dog regardless of size. They are very.......

  • i wish i would of known this befor i got my yorkie LOL im shocked at his insaneness but he is so silent! i wish he would bark at the door when some one came over xD he even trys to say hello to my collies hmmm 3lbs against 50lbs not a good mix lol

  • lol yorkshire terriers love confrontation, similar to other people from yorkshire like my dad and his family lol

  • I have had many breeds, and I can't believe I fell in love with one of these! Tiny terror! I used to own and train Rotties and this breed has more spirit!! Funny too! See mine on youtube - very smart!

  • @yepp87 *cough cough* Get a life.

  • @yepp87 pugs are ugly

  • yorkies and yappy both began with y! get it?

  • To the idiot telling everyone to get a pug....GO TO THE PUG SITE FOR BREED ALL ABOUT IT!!! Another thing about yorkies....vet told me he would calm down and mellow out at 7 yrs old. FYI, he'll be ten in January, and I'm still waiting *laughs* But I wouldn't trade him for the world.

  • @TheCALLUMR Oops, I commented back. Stop telling people to get a pug, people can get whatever dog they want! I prefer yorkies over ANY dog breed, even pugs. Yorkies are the best dog breed, hands down, period!

  • The scene where the two dogs are barking at the door and biting each other does not really convince one to get this breed of dog, now does it lol

They are cute but there are a lot in my apartment building and they do not stop barking. My neighbour has one who gets walked 2-3 times a day and anytime the elevator stops on our floor or someone closes a door to leave, she LOSES HER MIND!

They are very friendly but be warned, they enjoy barking! They need to be trained ASAP to not do so.

  • yorkies are a great dog! Be very careful with young children Yorkies have delicate bones so use common sense! Use a harness for your yorkie rather than a collar... pressure on their windpipe can hurt a yorkie!

  • We just recently bought a yorkie hes the best puppy ever a bundle of energy but once hes tired he wants you to lift him up and sleep with you! We love our baby so much!!!

  • lucky!

  • I have a yorkie named Jill. She weighs 10 pounds cuz shes standard so her bark doesn't need 2 be worse than her bite right now. The 2 other yorkies in my house wont dare attack me when Jill is around. :)

  • i want a yorkie so bad

  • same here!

  • @TheCALLUMR I AM SO F***ING SICK OF SEEING YOUR COMMENTS "Get a pug, get a pug" YOU ARE SO ANNOYING! Damn...

  • In my years as a dog owner, I have owned 2 Yorkies, 1 male (Now passed ) 1 female...They in turn have been great friends & joys to live with..My female now 9 lives with my 2 OLD Jack Russels & has been queen bee since 9 weeks old. She is calm, collected & as cool as a cucumber. Very obedient, even giving & loves everyone.Even though, She thinks she is of great size (TOY, 8inches@ shoulder) & thinks she is a machine NOT to be messed with...If well taught & trained these are great dogs to have...

  • my babys are very affectionate and dont bark when people come in they just jump all over them for their attention they love to be pampered lol. they bark if they hear sounds they dont like or when i walk my dogs they dont bark unless i dont let them play with the other dogs they bark at them like its their fault lol.

  • i love yorkies if i was able to own 4 i would some day

  • Sooooo glad my Dallas is quiet and loves everybody. THE KEY IS SOCIALIZE them while they are young. My baby hated trash cans and would lose it, so now I walk him past them and let him sniff it as long as he wants then we keep it moving. Now he pays them no mind. WHen they are anxious, then they are yappers.

  • My yorkie is everything he just said hahaha :)

  • The first thing I taught my Yorkie was to STFU. She's pretty quiet.

  • My yorkie is very calm. Hahah weird.

  • .....MY sweet yorkie is a sweet, refined, gentle...not a yapper at all...

1.6lbs of pure sugarbritches....he is 15, in the senior years these days....

    xxx

  • my parents have 2, and i fucking hate them. Always barking and intimidating my gsd, humping my leg as well as other, keep me up to the am's. And they think its funny

  • lol

  • my friend has one of these dogs and she is not like the dogs in this video. she's very sweet and my puppy (a mini schnauzer) loves to play with her. she doesn't bark that much...

  • I know! I have a yorkie and he is the sweetest dog ever. Also, not all yorkie-owners keep the long, ratty hairstyle like in this video! I like it short and puppy-cut, personally :)

  • Me too! I love the puppy cut! Makes them look like Teddy Bears! Long hair makes them look like a rich old lady's dog!

  • One day I will have a Yorkie but i worry about the sensitive belly and what I read - how they can get sick if too long w/out food like a diabetic, or if eat too much or too fast they will die. Is this true??????

  • Yes you do need to watch their sugar levels as babies. Just keep some kyro syrup available. I notice but I could be wrong, that all my friends smaller yorkies 5 pounds and under only have these problems. My Porkie is 8 pounds and has never ever had glucose problems. No they will not die if they eat too fast.

  • chihuahua's r cutest.

  • They look a bit fresky tho

  • Extremely popular breed, but to loud and prone to injury. This breed of dog is not for everyone.

  • My Yorkie wasn't aggresive, but she wasn't shy. Every once in awhile, there she was, chasing my huge Doberman out of her "territory".

If your Yorkie has a liver shunt, DO NOT vaccinate the dog. Mine was living with her liver shunt just fine, as I was careful about her diet (Science Diet Kidney Diet), and I decided (against advice) to vaccinate her. It killed her. Cookie died at age 6 and I'll never forget it.

  • i got that little dog

  • i <3 my yorkie baby

my yokie picks fights with big dogs and hes so little bahahah

  • very cute dogs, but i dnt like their fur!

  • it's not fur. it's hair.

and not all yorkies have long hair!

it can be cute ya know.

  • lol once my 120 pound rottweiler got chaised by a lil yorkie XD... i was like WTF?

  • i used to love this dog

but the grooming is a hell of a job

so i went for a pom

  • "It's been said that yorkies have challenged dogs fifty times their size..."

So true. My yorkie always came home with bite marks on beneath his fur and dragging a bone he stole from the german shepard down the street.

  • @beimprobable believe me GSD will leave a yorkie with more than biting marks

  • Aww! Thanks so much! Im getting a Yorkie in May!

  • that is the honest truth my yorkie is the smartest dog but he also dont play around with strangers all the facts were basically true about my dog he is soo smart but my yorkshire terrier is mixed with a coco something i forgot what it is there are like 6 different types of yorkies

  • thats what i dont like about the breed.. they seem, cute, fluffy and cuddly and quiet, till it bites you on the face,, but still they are still cool dogs,

  • What kind of dogs do you like?

  • i have a cute little japanese chin...im not saying these dogs are hideous there just not my type and all these people downed my comment for there popularity consumption...so yep

  • @ezy98 If you think they're ugly why watch these videos? These dogs are down right adorable!

  • I love these dogs. They are so cute
