Unless Shelby is planning on wasting millions on R&D chances are it will be around for a few more years. Probably come back as a 351 Cleveland with all new internals more hp & torque and higher fuel mileage like the new 5.0 compared to the old. It will be a different animal.

I would like to remind all you guys someting. The Camaro being slow is because of the weight and the suspension, not the motor. Both the 5.0 and the LS motors have their advantages and disadvantages. Both make great power, the LS has it's weight lower than the 5.0, the 5.0 is forged and overhead cams give you more tuning power. All you chevy and ford fanboys need to relax and realize that both are great, it's the chassis that make or break it.

you'll only need rpm's when you don't have the torque to begin with. what's the point about it anyway, the rpm thing? it's not going to win anymore races than a broad power curve could. i'm a fan of all domestic platforms but the rpm thing is just that, rpm's. it's not a sure bet that you'll win.

@yournamehere832 The next SuperSnake is suppose to have a 5.4 TT 600 KR and isn't slated to be out till 2013 or 14. Unless Shelby is planning on wasting millions on R&D chances are it will be around for a few more years. Probably come back as a 351 Cleveland with all new internals more hp & torque and higher fuel mileage like the new 5.0 compared to the old. It will be a different animal.

@rashtte drag racing does take skill. I'm not in to road racing, but I still think it's cool. I'm more into drag racing. i think its amazing cars can go from a stop to a 1/4 mile under 9 seconds. And I didn't know the BMW was a v8-I thought they did inlines-cool.

I would like to remind all you guys someting. The Camaro being slow is because of the weight and the suspension, not the motor. Both the 5.0 and the LS motors have their advantages and disadvantages. Both make great power, the LS has it's weight lower than the 5.0, the 5.0 is forged and overhead cams give you more tuning power. All you chevy and ford fanboys need to relax and realize that both are great, it's the chassis that make or break it.
