@DizzyDerwish Haha my dad and my uncle play the trumpet. I used to play the saxophone, when I was a kid long before I got my labret. I have often thought how now I would be unable (most likely) to take up playing it again.

@bettyjoon3 Well I can't answer for everyone else. People do it for different reasons. But a big one is beauty, people find it to be beautiful. I know I think it's beautiful. For me I really feel like I look right, like I look the way I'm supposed to. Perhaps that's strange. I also really enjoy the process of stretching, I enjoy having control over changing my body. I think it's interesting and fun and beautiful.

@JessicaxBites Ears are way different than lips. If I took it out it would most likely close. Partly because I did not scalpel it, partly because it's not super big, and partly because I know my body and how well it shrinks up. Its possible it wouldn't close, in which case there are ways to get it to close. But I'm not really worried about it.

As for your ears there really is no way to know for sure. It depends on your body. They will shrink, they just may not close or shrink a lot

@JessicaxBites they most likely wont shrink to a normal size if you stretch it to a 00g. 0g is like point of no return, with some people it's even 2g ^.^

@Gorrilaz45 Jesus! I didn't have anything pierced in middle school except for my ears a few times. I did start stretching my ears in middle school though. I'd tell you to wait until you are older, especially on stretching your ears since that is definitely more of a commitment. But you probably won't listen to me haha.

Pretty much all piercings have some sort of odor. It partly depends how large the hole is and what you wear in it and how often you clean it. My labret has a scent to it, but it's not a bad smell, nor a strong one. Your friend probably needs to stop wearing crappy metal in his ears and clean his plugs more. haha

Does it hurt to stretch? Yes, at first anyway. Once I got to a larger size and could use tape to slowly stretch it, it no longer hurt. But when using tapers it definitely hurt.

It's a carrot, so no it really can't, not unless I wore it in there and it somehow rotted and infected it, but thats pretty improbable. As for sticking things in the hole, yes I can stick pretty much anything in there, like I said it's healed it can't INFECT it unless it's something pretty nasty and is in there for a long period of time. When I did my balloon video the latex balloon did irritate the piercing, but it most certainly did not infect it.
