this may sound strange but I know that Shelley Winters and Monroe shared an apartment when they were first in Hollywod and Sheley says that she taught Monoe how to smile. I can see a bit of that in her smile, Told you it was strange.

@etrax2000 Shelley Winters claimed to have been present at the Creation. There's no evidence that Shelley and MM ever roomed together. It was probably a long weekend. And MM's big flashing smile was evident from her earliest modeling days. She had a slight overbite when young, and after that was corrected MM perfected the trademark smile.

@waif55 Yes. Shelley often makes mistakes in her recollections of past events. In her book she often sited the wrong actors as having played parts in films that she was in as well as claiming never to have seen her first Oscar win speech as or so she claimed there were no KINESCOPES.

@etrax2000 But there are both b/w recordings of that event as well as official Oscar and newsreel color film of her great speech. But still I do believe that they were roomies as Tony Curtis once confirmed this on an interview that he did.

His own daughter Jamie Lee publicly expressed shock and disbelief that her father and MM ever had an affair---or that he he was the father of the baby she so evidently carried in "Some Like It Hot." She later miscarried. He and Miss Winters shared a similar creative take on their memoirs and memories.
