Poor chicks! I laughed a few times but i can't believe thats how they are "produced". emagine if when babies were born, they through them down a shoot, and sorted males/females and vaccinated them.
When i bought my chickens we got them from a farm when they were 1 year old, so they werent attached to their mum. It's kinda sad the first thing these chicks see is being tossed into a machiene, they must be thinking - "mum! help!" :(
The Males Are Gonna Go On Your Plate And The Girls Are Gonna Suffer From Battery Hen Things. Nice Life They Have. My New Born Chicks Are Gonna Have The Best Life Posssible!
not chicks, there very light, i accually think its a defense mechanism. Say in nature there nest is very high, if a chick falls out, when it hits the ground it will still be alive, there weight is so lite they just fluff on the ground
It doesn't hurt because they are covered in down and because the operator flings them in a special way which makes them roll instead of hitting the metal
You can buy chicks online for less than $1.50 each in some cases. They'll come in a box from the post office. I couldn't do anything more than to raise them properly as pets, or maybe later for eggs, and only eat them if I had too. They deserve better.
Trust me, chicks are very hard animals, they are not hurt whatsoever. It wouldn't make sense for them to be mistreating them because they have to discard the carcass if it has any bruises or broken bones, causing them to lose money.
what a mean way to treat chickens!!! First, they get tossed around, next, they get stuffed into small cages and forced to lay eggs for a year, and last, they go to the slaughterhouse!!!
They're not hurt, you fucktards. Y'see that down on them? They're protected with that, irreguardless if it's feathers. Sure they're flung around, but they're completly safe the whole time.
its not really torture its not like a lot of companies have the land to have like free range chickens. So they just have to do their work in factories..
Acualy its not torture when they cant feel anything, I like when they go to the 'seporator' because I like trying to think of what there saying ''Hey! whats this for Hey! I'm falling What the?''
i have fowl, and when a hen nest's high in a rafter or something, she push's then off one by one till there all on teh ground then she meets them and teachs how to eat/drink/scratch.
This isn't animal cruelty, they're actually having a lot of fun lol, they love being thrown around and besides, they don't get hurt because birds are really light, so when they land they hardly get a scratch.
Now stop being pissed off and "lol" at the cuteness.
It looks kinda horrible, but after owning chicks you notice that they are pretty tolerant to getting thrown around anyway. My little black and white chicks (which I named Lenny & Karl) used to fall off their table all the time and didn't mind.
You guys who think this is classified as animal cruelty should change your attention to the chinese fur farms where they skin animals alive.
Now THAT is horrible. They should at least kill them before they cut their skin off. I can't say I'm against fur, but skinning those animals alive is just disgusting.
