There's a kid at my school who was talking about how gross and wrong it is to be gay. He has bright red/blonde hair and he's covered head to toe in freckles. This made me think of him. :)

Gays aren't banned from marriage. There simply is not an allowance of marrying persons of the same sex. A man can't marry a man and a woman can't marry a woman. Frankly marriage should remain solely male:female as man + woman = kids being raised by both a mom & dad. Sorry, but 2 gay men or 2 gay women can't produce kids on their own nor raise them as both mother & father. & no, we don't need marriage. Gays don't need this.

Term "marriage" has changed over time from a couple bound together as a family= kids + property and money to support and raise them (in theory), also being unfertile was the only reason to get divorse (at least for royalties, others were deprived of that anyway) to purely legal term turning around only money and property, legacy rights etc.
In short, it was an evolution from family to relationship, so, from this point of view gay marriage is OK. Lawyers need work. 8D

I understand the First Amendment, that people in the US are supposed to have freedom of and from religion. However, saying that Congress has nothing to do with religion is not only naive, it is also false. Showing examples like the 1st Ammendment don't do anything to validate your stance. If there is atleast one example that shows religion impacting laws in congress than your statement is invalidated no matter how many examples you cite contrary. There is atleast a causal relationship.

No. Irrational aggression, territoriality and murder/cannibalism are all normal behavior for most species. We happen to take exception to such behavior because it interferes with our ability to maintain complex cooperative societies. It also happens to be unethical, but nature is not ethical.

too good to be imaginable.. some people just need their hate.. even the mayas tortured children till they cried and thand threw them off a stone stair meters down, because they thought that the kids tears would bring the rain to them and killing the kids would make their gods happy. their seem to be at least 2 very different kinds of humanity :-/
