If any Sealer says its their "way of living", think "WELFARE". When a sealer tries to sell seal meat, and since nobody wants to have anything to do with it, it doesn't sell. There are no real customers. So what happens is, the DFO & Canadian government have to come in and buy it all up. Most all of that seal meat then goes to rot or is destroyed. So the Canadian people are giving sealers fake welfare payments for never used rotted meat. That's the "livelihood" of sealers.

Killing Seals actually INCREASES Cod's PREDATORS who EAT more cod & REDUCE the number of codfish. LESS seals = Predator Explosion = LOW CODFISH. Seals barely eat 3%cod. The European Union has already made its move to ban the seal trade througout Europe. Snow crabs are the most important source of income for East Coast fishing communities. More and mroe Restaurants & grocery stores are boycotting snow crabs. The majority of Canadian snow crabs come from Newfoundland and other sealing provinces. By eliminating just this one product from their menus, stores and restaurants will send a crippling blow to Newfoundland and the canadians responsible for seal massacres.

newfoundland has been at the ass end of everything for 100's of years and now we are getting picked on by a bunch of tree hugging hippies about the sealing.... i would gladly kick anybody's ass who has something negative to say about newfoundland, i am a proud newfoundlander and i have had enough of the bull shit we have been taking!!!!
