USCG comes to the aid of sinking fishing boat

The Coast Guard was awful quick to get to that scene. Where were they last week when the prior owner of that vessel, along with his father in law passed away in a catastrophic accident while fishing to support their families. It took nearly 5 hours or so to get a damn rescue team there. By then, the boat was gone and I lost a dear friend. Shame on you Coast Guard and you should be disbanded!!!!!!!!!

While you have my sympathy at the loss of a friend, you clearly have no idea of just how good the Coast Guard is. They can not insure that every tragedy is prevented, but they have saved countelss thousands of lives.

They also risk their lives on a daily basis, so that others may live. What they do is extremely dangerous at times and you need to have a bit more respect.

Sorry to hear that you lost your friend but really? I'm pretty sure the CG didn't wait 5 hours to respond on purpose. Like the video said, some assets happen to be in the area and make a quick response. The men and women of the USCG risk their lives on a daily basis as a service to you, show some respect.
