Awesummest waiata!!!! remember watching cara sang this live on telly at the Te Papa opening ceremony (wish some-one would post that on utube) i'd put that link straight on my fbook. i remember having a good tangi it was sooo moving still is and gives me goosebumps just makes me soo proud to be maori just love the simplicity an beauty of this waita and awesum for us that reside away from our Motherland Aotearoa we can jump on u tube and be able to listen anytime we want

Does anyone know if "Te Maori" the concert from 85 or 86 is available anywhere for sale? . My nan loves it, she had it for years but then her video got chewed lol. Now she desperately wants to find it, hopefully on dvd. I would pay for it of course. Any help would be appreciated.

@uremysunset The actual song was written by my Cousin Linda HuHu from Mangatu Tuini Ngawai changed the words The original song was called >Mangatu E< our group sang it on our Marae for some visitors from the East Coast Auntie Tuini liked the tune so much she changed the words to 'Haere Mai'. Thought I'd just clarify a few facts My cousin has now past on RIP Cuzzy.
