@danjosimo3000 No, it was a typical Arsenal start to the game, straight out of the blocks and they could have been 3 or 4 up in the first half hour, gradually Newcastle settled into the game and it became more even. The win put us top for Christmas 2002.

the ref gave a penalty! this clearly means that if he thinks it was a penalty AND it was last man, (what other out field players were there?) the ref should've got the red card out aswell but tell me?was fletcher's even a foul? NO HE CLEARLY WON THE BALL and he got a red card, a penalty conceeded & missed the final where man utd clearly needed him and it's this along with a long list of examples which makes me think WHY do people even bother trying to pretend man utd are lucky with decisions????

I am actually a referee myself, It is not the case as to whetehr he is the last man. It is whether he denies an obvious goal scoring oppotunity. He only got a yellow because in the opinion of Graham Poll, Laurent Robert was going away from the goal.
