I am so pleased at Elvis Costellos kind words about Linda. I wish I had met her. I used to work at an airline, and everyone whoever met her, said she was the kindest woman ever! They thought she was so warm. I really feel like we could have been good friends. I used to take celebs to the aircraft, and met so many but always asked about Paul, Linda and Beatles, they were alwaysnumber1 tome. I always felt timing was crucial, I wished I could have just hugged her and Paul. What a good human being!
@MaryBeatleFan I love the feeling in Elvis' voice and the emotion. I love this song so much. Thank you for the wonderful artists on this planet who give us so much joy. Love and Peace, and wishing Linda is happy in heaven.
@wilsondylanmccartney I agree with you. It was wonderful that he was there for Paul and his family at that horrible time in their life losing the lovely Linda. I think in the world of the music business,to find sincerity in caring must be difficult to discern for them, but you can tell that Elvis was so sincere. I know there is so much love for the Beatles, and I happen to have loved LInda all along. I saw a show once where she was saying what she felt regardless of how it looked ontv. I was in
@wilsondylanmccartney awe of how she was so honest and down to Earth. She take any bullshit as Paul said. I loved it and modelled my personality after her in some ways. Her sweetness, warmth, but honesty and convictions to what she believed in is how I saw her. Of course we were so limited in knowing her personally, but this is what I saw. I cried and cried at her loss and felt so awful for the family and her friends. Iwent to the memorial in NYc, and was veryhurt because someone came over after
@wilsondylanmccartney and said, "where are the animal rights people?" He (Iwondered if it was her brother?)gave flowers to them and although I stood for hours to show my respects it was Like I was nothing. I was very very hurt. There werent many of us there, but I really was hurt. Paul was beautiful, someone said they loved him, and I said I loved him and will always love him, after he said, "thank you for coming".Iwill always love him for that and know he appreciates and respects his fans.
