This song is under 1:40 and it has so much more soul and substance than songs of 4 and 5 minutes. I'm 19 years old, nearly 20 and I really like today's music. But you still cannot deny that the music of the Beach Boys' era is incredible and so important.

I still listen to the '20 Golden Greats' album on an everyday basis, 10 years after my dad bought it me. It has pride of place in my car stereo :)

Sounds like a sweet specimine of a machine, but my Trans-am could smoke it. It's an '86 with fule-injection and T-tops. Absolutely cherry aside from the headlights. Bastards won't flip up, so you gotta do it manually which is a bitch to do. My buddy brought it all the way up to 140 once when he tricked me into letting him run it at the strip.

The term "mill" simply refers to the engine. It's  rodder slang for the hopped up engine of a hot car. It has nothing to do with milling machines or using such machines to mill the heads. As in "revving up his mill". Give a listen to the song Thunder Road. It featured a hot Merc with a flathead V-8 used to run white lightening - which, by the way, has NOTHING to do with thunderstorms!

But whty is the engine called the mill, it must be derived from somewhere - most likely that the original block was milled to the new spec, or possibly it is simply beause it has a fan on the front like a windmill. I don't know or care really, but just saying, a name comes from somewhere

@NCTaikoDrumboy Pretty sure a flathead mill is just that - use a milling machine to surface (remove) head material by a few thousandth of an inch - thus reduces the overall height ( where it bolts to the block) and increases expansion chamber compression.
