@pelican810 a poster on 2p2 calculated the all-in EV of all HSP players (in hands televised) and Negreanu was the second unluckiest at 367k below expectation. Antonio Esfandiari was the most unlucky in HSP history at -402k below expectation. There is more to luck than all-in EV of course but it's interesting to note.

Follow that with calls from Negreanu (UTG+1) and Phillips (UTG+3?) make KJo, despite being in the BB, so a call has good pot odds, a rather bad hand, because the chances one of them would have Axd, KQ, something that would crush his hand is high here. Results orientated play in this game kills people's bankrolls.

The first five episodes of this season are the best poker ive ever seen played. This table seems pretty stacked too. I think the perfect poker player would be a mix of Ivey, Daniel, and Durr .... def my fav players in poker. Phil Ivey is the greatest player of our generation, hands down.
@MrJonnyboy36 Aces are very hard to fold to one bet, even if Ivey's play only makes sense if he had KK or 99. Maybe Antonius thinks Ivey is capable of calling 40k preflop with a smaller pair and turn it into a bluff. Not sure, I haven't played with Ivey very much.
The only thing that'd make this even better is if they had a graphic showing where the button was & the players with their chip stacks. Give the viewing audience a lot more information.

wow will you people learn anything about poker? yes, dwan has had quite a few lucky hands, but hes not just ''calling and calling until he hits'' Players of that caliber know that even if they dont hit, they can probably get their opponent of their hand, unless they have the nuts. case in point, wen he bluffed ivey with 9 high last season. are u guys gonna say he ''sucked out with his nine high?'' no, thats right, he played ivey and won a 670k pot. thats skill u nubs.

@CursedWiz4rD Gabe Kaplan is the best poker announcer period. He's also Mister Kotter from Welcome back Kotter, if you don't remember. He's hilarious, and informed, and also a really good poker player as well. He's been playing professionally for probably 20-25 years or so.

It has to be said that Dwan has been really lucky in the last couple of episodes. Poor Daniel has been really unlucky for 2 seasons. When he finally gets an unbeatable hand (K high straight flush) there is no one to pay him off.

At 14:50, can someone explain to me why Antonius won that hand please? Because you make your hand with 5 cards right? They would both have a flush with A high, so why wouldn't it be a split pot?
