The is just too fucking cool! Still their best album, imo, and "Gone" has to be their finest song; funky, catchy, dangerous, gritty, psychedelic . . . burns a hole in ya! Take me blind, take me scared . . .
This has to be one of my all-time favourite pieces of music related video footage. This album was the foundation to my entire musical world. Here's hoping they decide to release the movie on DVD or Blu-ray one day.
This was a promo where they were all trippin on shrooms, etc. for the event And It was described s a real ritualistic experience. These guys knew how to do it (making videos) right thats for sure!
I still wear my local crew amorica t-shirt with black cartoon crow smoking a joint..its all faded , with multiple weed seed burns all over the front...and practically falling off..I dont care what my girlfriend sez..lol..I still wear it..
Is this the full version of the promo? i thought there was one that had lots of crazy stuff going on and nekkid ladies and people in weird costumes.. this was mostly focused on the lead singer.
Does anyone who the hot dancer gyrating all over chris is?
Hey I agree the best line up of the Crowes is the one you mention, but alas it seems Marc decided to leave so for me Audley would be great. Audley is an awesome guitarist. You know he's what made Chris's solo stuff extra special. Hey lets have Marc & Audley come back. It could be a triple guitar southern band, I believe that's been successful before!
I don't think they need him. Of course he was a great addition to the band and he's a great guitarist, but I love the current lineup as well. Luther and MacDougall both bring a new, nice layer to the music - I'm not saying the music is necessarily better, but it's different. And I love it.
I just saw the Crowes 8/28 in Orange Beach AL. Which makes 5 shows for me. I've just got to say (and apologies to Paul and the keyboardist), PLEASE come back Mark and Eddie!!! If not Mark then Audley! Although I did enjoy the energy and playing of Luther Dickenson from the N. Miss. Allstars. I miss the classic Crowes. Having said all that it still was a great show. Still my favorite Live band.
Share....... a moment ( a song, a solo, something that happened on stage..... whatever it was) at a Crowes show, that, to this day ...... you still can't get over
This comment..... coming from a child of the 70's...... been to Zep concerts, the stones w/ Mick Taylor (you know what I'm talking about!!) Is as hard hitting, soulful and honest as an album gets and the individual songs are all gems.
agree with Rage......Marc's playing on this album is amazing..what would those songs sound like without "his flavor"
i agree this is one of my fav crowes albums and marks playing is awesome seen the crowes twice once in 1993 and once in 2006 both awesome shows the black crowes is 1 band that never put out a bad cd __but you seen led zep wow now thats 2 fn cool
This album is one of very few that has inspired my life. It just moves me from the beginning to the end. Marc Ford's playing on this album is simply amazing.
Certainly one of the best ALBUM COVERS of all time, lol! Oh why did they have to go and airbrush such a thing of unapologetic beauty!?!?!? And yeah, the album itself has pretty much survived the '90s sounding better than it did back then. A definitive cornerstone in the Black Crowes catalog if there ever was one...
mna, to be belting out a great fucking song, probably worked up with a little tootski, and having a sexy-ass woman slinking ups and down your body, plus running your hands all through her hair as she be rubbing all up and down, i gotta say, CR must have had one fuckin HELL of a time.
BC loves their sexdrugsandrocknroll. for the soul. amen.

O.D. Jubilee, Whisky A Go Go, 12/10/94
On line 6AM till 7PM being among the first 10 people on line.
Security said, "smoke all the weed you want, just DON'T get drunk."
Waiting 3 hours to be front row before band came onstage.
The aftershow upstairs.
Rich getting a flashlight after I almost tripped over one of Marc's guitar cases.
The pictures taking behind The Whisky after it was finished.
The End.

Those drugs aren't available any more.
Audley , Marc & Rich????
Rich would be on stage with 16 amps, 45 guitars and would
be rabid.... He is not one to "Share the Ride!"
