  • 0:11-0:16 Dang, that almost sounds like me. I actually don't vote. I've done it once or twice, and it was for my town's elections. Lol.

To be honest, I try not to get involved with politics; therefore, I don't vote for the country.

Okay, I just strayed off the topic. This episode is sick, as in sick and wrong. Lol. So proves that Harold is wicked creepy and wicked smart....

  • I LOVE THIS ONE

  • This proves it: JANITORS ARE CREEPS!!

  • i have watched like a hundred of these video's!!!!!!!! SICK

  • "You dont spy on me like that do you?

    "I totally do"

    hahaha love it

  • Either I'm becoming obsessed with Iron Man or Harold looks exactly like Robert Downey Jr. ... Weird

  • creepy spying

  • ok we get it this isnt english class !!

  • lol...funny

  • OMG! i love this show i absolutely adore harold! he's such a trouble maker! =P!!!!!!!!! ((nd he'z HAWT!!))

  • posted a week before my b-day!

  • maybe it's just me, but harold holds a shocking resemblance for robert downey jr.

  • :O i think that too :P

  • Why does NO ONE use proper grammer?

I don't mean to be a nag but you can actually lose the ability to spell!!!

  • you are my hero

  • Not the first time Iv'e gotten that sunny. ;D

  • It's spelled "grammar", and the correct word there is "Sonny", unless Sunny is his name.

Also, one exclamation point is fine to make your point, and it's "I've", not "Iv'e".

  • grammer fag........

  • So, it's called grammAr...

  • uh, you spelt grammar wrong, it's 'ar' not 'er'

  • I just stumbled on this. I spose it's funny if you find things like scrubs funny. Not for me though.

  • one of the best shows on Youtube

  • I totally do

  • it was a funny vid but every 1 is talking the voting thing to seriosly

  • Comment removed

  • yep, because if you misspell in a comment on youtube we are all doomed...

    "tard"?

  • How did the flame war boil down to this? Please do us all a favor and blog about it instead. I hear livejournal is free... then at least least your opinions can drift into obscurity a little less quickly than the 2 days they're here before someone rolls them down the list with their inane argument instead. Grow up and argue with someone in person, that way if they get real mad they can cause you personal physical violence. - End rant.

  • I voted! And hilarious video!

  • obama

  • haha! "vote damnet!"

  • I totally do...

  • who should i vote for...

  • nice one ^^

  • Is anyone capable of just posting comments about the video instead of their political beliefs?

  • Damn you elevator show, and your postings of such controversial topics. Now you have your viewers in an argumentative shitstorm! I bet you are all happy, and giggling as much as I am.

  • OBAMA! OBAMA! OBAMA! OBAMA! all obama supporters reply!

  • OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Andrew what are you wearing? lol

I voted! Sort of... I did absentee... and clearly from the results, my vote wasn't used. So i'm not sure if I technically voted.

  • I would like to point out that even if Obama won by a electoral landslide, he did not win by very many actual votes. Only about 6 million. Your vote counts.

I still cant believe that we have an illegal immigrant in the White House... its amazing history that was made. Honestly, only good things can come from his election (not in the immediate sense) as I see it.

  • XD

    lol "i totally do,"

  • woody,

rest while you can before you have to defend whether you're comedy is favoring santa over jesus next month.

you shouldn't have explain you jokes. i had a friend that didn't get my farside calender cartoons, so i'd try to explain them to her which took away from what makes the observation in the cartoon funny, and then i'd get to here, well, that's not funny. (well, not anymore, thanks.)

  • Alright...Harold would definitely got my vote..haha :D

  • ZZZZZZIIIIILLLLCCCHHHH

  • ZILCH!!! <333

  • that's funny "i totally do".

  • barak

  • the live telecast to Singapore was good.

Doesn't really bother me who won, though, because often I feel that the candidates hardly do what they say they will, and therefore the campaign and everything is not exactly the most accurate way of judging who will be the 'better candidate'.

I just hope that this will end peacefully, and hopefully no assassinations will take place.

    Peace.

  • thank god for freedom of speech (while we still have it with Obama)

Our president can go fuck himself (respectively)

now if you excuse me i am going to buy a gun (while we still have that right as well)

  • Talk about a lack of perspective. Most people are worried about THE WARS and RECESSION, while whiny rich fucks like yourself focus immediately on gun control. Do you really think that's the primary concern of this administration? With everything else that's going on? Really, you sheltered, oblivious shitstain?

  • since when was i rich? if i was then why didnt anyone tell me sorry i kinda feel that, that kind of informatiuon should be told. so how rich am i middle class Donald trump rich? I only care about gun control is that is the only true right that will guarantee our freedom And before you go into a rant about freedom of speech trust me the democraps are already working on ridding us of that i only hope the Sepreme Court can stop it.

  • You're right. Gun rights are completely necessary to maintain our other freedoms. Which is why Europe, because of it's extensive gun control measures, is littered by totalitarian dictatorships.

Oh wait, European countries are some of the most liberal democracies in the world. Gee, I guess that really takes a shit on your whole "guns help us maintain our other rights" stance, eh?

  • And by the way, I'm by no means an advocate of gun control (it's horribly ineffective at accomplishing anything), but neither do I believe that they're such an important issue that people should make it their number one priority. It pisses me off that people who would normally support liberal policies like environmentalism, anti-imperialism, a woman's right to choose, and same-sex marriage, would be so caught up in this gun control debate that they'd abandon everything else. It's just saddening.

  • Yes they are the most liberal. They also have an extremely high crime rate. Cheers.

  • Notice I was arguing against the proposition that gun rights have anything to do with maintaining freedoms, not the proposition that gun rights are effective in reducing crime. Two totally different things. I actually agree with the latter.

So yeah, fuck you, you smug cocksucker.

  • It does deal with maintaining freedoms. Nazi Germany one of the 1st things they did was disarm the people, Communism one of the 1st things they did was disarm people. Likewise in most of the dictatorships around the world one of the 1st things that occurs is the disarming of the public. Notice a pattern here? And seeing as how you "sound" so smart I'm gona let you put 2 and 2 together. Cheers.

  • Correlation isn't the same as causation, man. Just because disarmament is a feature of dictatorships doesn't mean that every country that disarms its populace is on the road to totalitarianism. There are more complex factors at work, but gun nuts like to deny them and act like it is only the 2nd amendment that prevents the US from sliding into fascism. It's a load of shit and you know it.

  • Really? You honestly think that the 2nd doesnt prevent that? Lets just think about Germany in how they were a democracy similar to us before WWII. Hitler begins taking power in Germany and to fully eliminate possible opposition he disarms the populace. This is how the 2nd works in that the population is armed and people who would be willing to take over the country, another Hitler wannabe, would be less likely to do so since everyone is armed. Thus a greater chance of being killed.

  • Hitler's rise to power was rather well-supported by the general populace. That's how demagogic fascism works. Given that this is true, what good would an armed populace have done? Your theory only works if Hitler's rise would've been opposed by the populace if they had been armed.

Besides, there are many countries that enforce gun control laws, and yet are no closer to fascism than we are.

Guns won't protect rights. Only the public can, and too often, they're unwilling to.

  • True most of the population was not opposed to him. But all it takes is one angry person with a rifle to have ended Hitler. By disarming the population, the population now poses no threat at all.

  • There were already angry people with bombs and rifles who tried to assassinate Hitler, so it's obviously not true that the population posed no threat at all. Hell, they just made a Tom Cruise movie about one of those failed attempts.

  • Yeah there were lots of angry people mad at Hitler but how many of them had weapons? Let's be generous and say 100 people tried to kill him, those 100 people failed. Hitler dodged the assassination attempt from those 100 but do you think he could have evaded 100,000 people trying to kill him? The population had been disarmed, only few had guns or weapons of any type and they failed. Just think what would have happened if the whole population had kept their guns.

  • It's not a simple matter of math like that. By the time there was serious discontent against Hitler, he was bottled up in his underground bunker, protected from the mainstream populace (typical dictator behavior). All of the assassination attempts came from within the military hierarchy itself. The pervasiveness of guns in the general populace never really came into play.

  • Yeah cause the general populace was disarmed. Yeah the attempts all came from the military hierarchy cause as it suggests they had access to guns and explosives. This further backs up my claim. If the population had guns like the military hierarchy did maybe they would have tried something. And Hitler went in his bunker not be safe from the population but to be protected from the approaching Soviet army.

  • The reason all attempts came from the military isn't because they were the only ones with guns. It was because they were the only ones with actual access to Hitler himself. There is no historical evidence to suggest that the general populace was on the verge of a revolt that might've happened if they had been armed.

And anyways, linking the loss of gun rights to the rise of fascism is putting the cart before the horse. The latter causes the former more than the former causes the latter.

  • Having access to Hitler is not the reason. During the years he was in power he made many public appearances. All was needed was one angry person to have a gun and bye-bye Hitler. The loss of gun rights accelerated the pace of fascism taking over and kept the population from fighting back once they were in power.

  • So you really support the idea of extreme vigilantism by individuals? That's it's good if a single person has the power to assassinate a leader and change the course of a nation?

While the outcome of such extreme action would've had a positive result in Hitler's case, many times it only results in the death of great leaders like Kennedy and Lincoln. I don't think that's a good argument of gun rights if the results of it are negative half the time. Popular revolt, now that's a good argument.

  • However, as I've already addressed, the population wasn't inclined towards popular revolt when Hitler rose to power. So your argument is pretty much bunk.

  • Like I had already stated, "the population doesn't have to be inclined towards popular revolt" just need one angry person upset with him.

  • "So you really support the idea of extreme vigilantism by individuals? That's it's good if a single person has the power to assassinate a leader and change the course of a nation?"

Second time posting that. This isn't a strong argument for gun rights. It's the an angry person could've killed Hitler, but such people have also killed leaders like Lincoln and Kennedy. How strong an argument is it if half the time the results of such actions are negative?

  • That's a rather weak argument since even without guns people still have the power to assassinate leaders. How many leaders have been assassinated by poison? stabbed to death? strangled?

The point about guns rights is that with armed police(secret police) if things got bad enough at least there would be the option of fighting back. Without gun rights there would be no option of fighting back. Notice poison, knives etc. are not effective at fighting armed police/soldiers in open battle.

  • Actually, Lincoln was seen and was in effect the strongest president we've had, while having close to dictator powers. First he suspended haebus corpis (sp) and just jailed whoever he wanted. Along with shutting down all media that opposed the war. So in putting it into context/history Lincoln was the most dictatorial presidents we've had and to the population at the time did not like him too much.

  • Political debate? Really? Ever heard of sending messages?

  • Amen to that...

  • yes! its called EMAIL!!! its awesome!

  • yo i don't even know what you're arguing about, but I think you should chill out...fighting on youtube is just pointless.

  • Hey man, political debate is an American tradition. They used to do it in taverns and shit, like Sam Adams. Now us nerds watch youtube videos and comment on them, lol.

  • tru dat ;D lol.

  • I wish I was "titled" to my own opinion. I'd also like to know what your definition of the word "ignore" is.

  • hahaha

i'm too young to vote, its not really fair, i think 14 is old enough to make an educated decision, don't you?

  • Harold is creepy....but he's still cool. I came out of voting like "what the hell did I just do?"

  • hmm lets see I finished voting, then went & got my free starbucks coffee and now I'm going to get my free krispy kreme doughnut. I'm set..I luv voting day!!! ;)

  • I can't vote dammit i'm only 14

  • yeah but that means that by the next election you'll barely make the cutoff date. that's what happened to me this year and it's really cool because I get to vote just after i become legal instead of waiting 2 or 3 years.

  • lol me too and at school we had a mock election

    EVERYONE VOTED FOR NADER!!lolol0l

    there was free donutz^_^

  • LOL thats exactly what happened to my school... 11% voted independent (mainly for themselves, though)

  • And NO ONE voted for Harold the Janitor? We are so talking about this later.

    -Woody

  • @ElevatorShow WHAT THAT IS UNACEPTABLE!!!

  • Woohoo! Go Democracy!

  • Haha...I still can't vote...1 more year...

  • Great episode! GO VOTE! CHANGE THE FUTURE!

    CHANGE,CHANGE,CHANGE,CHANGE (not that I would vote for Obama ^^) CHANGE,CHANGE, CHANGE,CHANGE, CHANGE,CHANGE, CHANGE,CHANGE

  • lol!

  • but i live in canada o.o

  • When Canadian elections roll around, I'll see what I can do about making a Canadian voting message.

    -Woody

  • It already passed o.o was in oct 14th

  • i'm only 13, but if i could vote, i definitely would!

  • I'm not voting, I'm only sixteen. But I'm pretty sure that even if I could I wouldn't.

  • This unbiased video is an improvement.

  • I meant to address your halloween comment.

    1) I don't think you got the higher level joke in there with the Palins, and...

    2) Did you SEE Obama-Rama?

My comedy knows no party line. I mock Democrats and Republicans alike.

I'm Woody Tondorf and I approve this message.

    -Woody

  • Please explain how the Halloween video did not mock Palin. I saw the Obama-rama video. In your description, you explained to your viewers that "any partisan bias perceived is in [my] own head." It was not repeated for the Palin video. What I got from Obama-rama was actually an attack on the issue of racism. In this election, it is difficult to voice for whom you're voting. I didn't see that either candidate was being supported. Exactly what message were you trying to convey in the Palin video?

  • Oh, that's easy! It mocks the herd mentality. In one week, everyone took it for granted that because Tina Fey did a good impression that they could get away with putting together extremely sub-par Palin costumes with no thought...when only a few months ago it was Joker, hands down. So it's not a rip on Palin, it's a rip on the folks who think they're being original. Most of those folks couldn't formulate an agenda if you wrote one for them.

    -Woody

  • I like that interpretation better, but if that's what you're sticking with, please explain the comment about how the first girl said she could only wear the costume for the next 5 days. The janitor, as did I, saw what she did there.

  • When was the last time you wore a Halloween costume for more than 5 days? :)

My advice: take the joke, and the mention in Obama-rama of "Tell me one thing you don't like about McCain, besides him being old and you hating Bush?" And Intern Jane's befuddled silence after.

That's all I have to say about that. I can't wait for this thing to be over.

    -Woody

  • Check that. Lily's befuddled, "Oh. I got nothing."

    -Woody

  • true that.

  • You still never explained the comment. The quote from Obama-rama is not pro-McCain if that's what you were aiming for. Sadly, it's very likely that Obama will win based on those two points. If you can't wait for the election to be over, why bother posting videos of anything related to it?

  • So, instead of replying, my comment was deleted? That's just like Obama.

  • I don't delete comments. Part of the wonderful opportunity I have to entertain is poking fun at whatever I see fit. In this case, I was pretty nauseated(sp) at the length of the campaign, but I got a chance to both encourage people to vote and have some fun at the same time, and I totally took it. Frankly, I appreciate your enthusiasm, but I'm done with this conversation. I took shots at both parties, you can judge as you will b/c that's your right. I hope you continue to enjoy Elevator.

    -Woody

  • My reply is not showing up, nor was it marked as spam. Yes, I have view of all comments regardless of its rating. Who you support or even if you support anyone no longer interests me. The more important issue is how my reply disappeared. Do other people have access to your account?

  • In Estonia, we vote over the internet ;)

  • We wanna introduce that in Austria too, but there's a lot of people who are afraid of some ID-phishing, piratry and stuff. =P

  • ahhh i love this show...

  • It's ok.

    -Woody

  • The only reason I ever leave the house is for the hope of falling in love with Jessica Simpson.

  • I turn blind corners too fast every chance I get because who knows? Blake Lively could be right there, carrying an orange juice or something.

    -Woody

  • I'm still not going to vote.

  • GREAT MESSAGE...

    OBAMA/BIDEN 08!

  • f obama

  • Indeed

  • MY 18TH BIRTHDAY IS IN ONE WEEK DAMNIT

  • ha that sucks bro

  • Aww man, that sucks. My brother missed it by a week in 2000 and he was rather angry as well...

  • i am missing this election by 4 days ='(

  • Harold for President!

  • I didn't register in time this year.

But, I do have a note for America...

    Dear America,

Please don't fuck this one up. I'm counting on you. Seriously. Not this year... this one matters. Wait for like... 4 years... THEN fuck it up. Just not this time. Please?

    Sincerely,

    Amkii

    Good video, btw. :) I lol'd!

  • You can register at the polls, so go fucking vote.

  • Not in my state. =)

  • OBAMA!!

  • I voted for Marty!

  • A vote for Marty is a vote for tacos! I support your vote!

    -Woody

  • You guys didn't even use that quote in the song, did you? -tear-

Oh well. When Marty wins the election by a landslide I'll throw a taco party for everyone.

  • Was that you? That was my favorite line.

    -Woody

  • Phft, I wish I was that clever.

I just enjoy tacos like any sane person.

  • I would vote, but im english. Ah well, Obama will win, no doubt.

  • i voted on the net and im 14

  • I would vote, but I am fourteen. lol

  • McCain...? Yeah...McCain...

  • No matter how you vote, just do it.

    -Woody

  • O B A M A :DDD

  • No matter how you vote, just do it.

    -Woody

  • C: Here in good ol' Belgium, we have to vote XD No right, but duty.

  • Interesting! I did not know that!

    -Woody

  • I voted 3 hours ago.

  • Well played, Shadowman.

    -Woody

  • I voted!

  • High fives, Marie.

    -Woody
