  • @aparks760 Hello ! Very sorry but I donated the engine and no longer have the instructions or the model to look at ! Hopefully someone else can help.

  • Sorry but I don't know. I found the track on the internet as the orginal Fleetwood Mac "The Chain" I tried to use was banned through copyright issues etc.

  • guitarpro for the music?

  • A word of warning. Don't use vegetable oil on your Visible V8 or you will have a meltdown after a month or two. I would use Labelle plastic safe oil or similar plastic safe oil.

  • @slinky460 I used vegetable oil for assembly to oil up the crank, oil main bearings, that's it so far. I don't even have the cylinder heads on yet. Would I still be ok? Just as long as I don't use it after final assembly and have it moving? Where can you get those other oils at?

  • @rtheck I would check e bay or Amazon.com for Labelle plastic safe oil. Vegetable oil will work short term, but long term a month or more will see a melting of the colored plastic. Vegetable oil does not seem to affect the clear Styrene as much. I would wash out the vegetable oil with soap and water. Why Revell has not changed their instructions regarding this problem, I don't know, this may be a way to sell you another kit when it has a meltdown.

  • @slinky460 My testing results has shown that vegetable oil, Soybean oil is the worst offender, but other vegetable oils will cause problems too. It seems that a thin coat on the colored plastic when exposed to air or may be the Oxygen in the air, causes the most melting. If the parts are fully covered in oil so as not to expose it to air, no melting was seen in a six month test. I think the oil exposed to Oxygen in the air has something to do with the melting of the plastic.

  • @slinky460 well i don't think I need to wash it out do you think bc I've only used vegetable oil to assemble the crank, I haven't "ran" the engine with vegetable oil.

So on yours do you fill the engine up with oil? I wondered about that? Do you just periodically oil the parts or maybe just fill the pan full enough that the bottom of the rods are coated
