  • He changes colors almost as fast as the MGS4 Snake!

  • I always feel bad for the animals that can't see colors.

  • Maybe his mind thinks it is mimicking shades of black and white kinda like a camera that only records in black and white would.

  • thats Amazing

  • The thing turned blue and red and sandcolored and oh my God, it was amazing! REPLAY.

  • this calls for some takoyaki!

  • well it's a skilled octopus... what's the mystery?

  • @tomilocke you're such a deaf person, the octopus can only see in B&W, how would he know to what color change?

  • @Razwithz Dude it seems you have no clue of the physics of light rays. If the octopus measures the wavelength of the light rays he can know to what colour he should change. If this was the big mystery for you... now you know it

  • @tomilocke no mistery for me, I just told you what the dude said in the video

  • @tomilocke but he only sees in black and white... :p

  • This is like the most impressive creature on earth!!...unbelievable!

  • id much rather hang out with this octopus than a can of oil

  • i want to be reincarnated as a giant octopus

  • just like T-1000 in "Terminator 2"

  • Just imagine how cool it would be to have one of THESE in your home aquarium. My TV would never get turned on again!

  • @localibran they belong in the ocean. to capture such a highly intelligent animal in an aquarium is not cool.

  • @ForTheSea to capture one would be kool, keeping the little harry houdini master locked up would be almost impossible :)

  • @ForTheSea What if it was like a museum quality aquarium? That would be pretty cool for both of them. right?

  • @ForTheSea well there is alot of animals that belong in their right place but are not. the zoo for example, having a octopus in your aquarium will not endenger their spieces. i rather have a octopus in a aquariam then in a oil polluted ocean.

  • @ForTheSea what a party pooper

  • @ForTheSea

so capturing dumber creatures is fair? thats stupid

  • @ForTheSea i agree and its true for fact, but you got to admit it would be very entertaining and interesting to own one of these :)

  • So amazing. ovo

  • That is AMAZING!

  • Sounds like that one narrator from spongebob

  • hah the octopus is like "gtfo dude im eating"

  • Amazing :P

  • I find these very disgusting to look at.

  • If only we could see whats going on underneath that it would be sweet.

  • No fuck that, I hate the water...We know more about space then we do what ever the fuck is down there...The cthulhu exists lol.

  • 11/10

  • i dont understand if the octupus only sees in balck and white how does he know what colour to change into?

  • U see a girl u like, goes up to her to say hi, she changes back to a cuttlefish, squirts u with ink N swims away. WTF, mother nature?!

  • Octopi are so cool! I just LOVE the way they sort of walk along the ocean floor.

  • amazing !

  • octopus are magnificent and fascinating animals. i saw two whilst doing my diving course on holiday ^^

  • It has anime eyes!!!!!

  • @clg32861

    They weren't it's eyes.

  • Beautiful. Though I've always wondered: how do we know whether or not a creature can see in colour or not? Or are they missing rods or cones in their visual systems?

  • wow, he's good at that :)

  • What type of octopus is this?

  • holy crap!!! that is the most amazing friggin thang ive evr seen in 21 years of life! wow! if thats not fake i would like to have an army of those! cool man! keep finding shit like that in the sea!

  • that octopuss thing is so pretty

  • Subhan Allah

  • Whoah it'd be cool if people were like that. There would be no racism at all lOL. I can be white today and black tomorrow.

  • WOW...

  • Quick question, how the hell did he make the spines of the coral comeout of his head? THERE WERENT SPINES BEFORE.

  • How many people say "oh my. That's so cool...weird. Bizarre!!". What do you think he's saying lol. "awe this is sooooo cool. Lookit me change colors. Whoa hoo hoo". Show off -.-

  • They see in black and white? You learn something new eveyry day.

  • Nature is so cool. You gotta love how the octopus turns deep red, almost like he's saying, "Damn it, dude! I'm trying to eat here! Can't a guy enjoy a meal in peace? Sheesh!"

  • FANTASTIC. Marine life is not scary. I'm terrified with British Petroleum and Human Acts; we are killing this animals that's still a mistery for all of us.

  • BP created a holocaust that is just growing daily. I support everything that you said.

  • @ForTheSea DITTO!!!!!!!!

  • @ForTheSea i agree it is bad but it is completely cleaned up now.

  • @ForTheSea do you drive a car

  • @doutorchefe and those damn pirate fishers, slaves on ships stealing tons of fish from people who usualy get em for the fish markets in around england

  • @doutorchefe And yet I bet you still put fuel in your car and drive it places... or use electricity.. or use things made of plastic...

  • @doutorchefe And yet I bet you still put fuel in your car and drive it places... or use electricity.. or use things made of plastic... That and your Grammar sucks...

  • @doutorchefe Of course we're killing animals. Humanity always has. There's plenty of room for all of God's creatures after all. Right next to the mashed potatoes.

  • Amazing.. it changes its colors to blend into the background, and it's color blind!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome!!

  • Creation is so amazing and beautiful. In regards to the end... if this guy's color change work anything like a cameleons then it changes colors based off of texture -- not based off of what it sees.

  • Evolution!

  • @tomaso87

evolution?? more like intelligent design i recon, evolution is just a fairy tale for old grown up bored adults. this has had its skills and intcincts inplanted in it, this never evolved from a slug, micro evolution yes, macro... no hope its all rubbish

  • @hudfadz Why would God favorite octopus? I mean, it's easy to catch your pray when you can hide like that! Pray has no chance! Why is your God an unfair asshole!

Evolution is a fact, but you have to have an IQ over 80 to understand that!

  • @coperone2

oh ok. So to understand Evolution to be a fact, you have to have a IQ of over 80? Well the last time I checked I had a IQ of over 87? in fact I got a 96% HSC score. I also know very smart people with higher IQ's then me and you who are convinced the same way I am. If you ''know'' that Evolution is a fact, then WOW! you are very smart!

could you please tell me what kind of species we were before we started walking straight? are you 100% confident fossil records prove Evolution?

  • @hudfadz We don't need fossils to prove evolution, genetics is all scientist need, but we have fossils so I can answer your stupid question.

Australopithecus afarensis was the first species. Learn to use google, smart ass...

  • @coperone2

Yes you do need fossil's to prove evolution, genetics can be swayed in any direction, it all depend's on who is explaining it. I could probably link a mushroom to a elephant through genetics.

Lucy as you refer to as being what some call ''the missing link'' is not the missing link at all.

''Australopithecus afarensis was the first species''

you can not be serious? you are very smart! you have solved it all!

We now have linked it all up, thank's to you now I know the truth.

  • @hudfadz Yes, you can link mushroom and humans if you go far back in time, you would know that if your brain wasn't washed with religion.

No, I don't need fossils, genetics is all I need, but I use fossils when someone do not understant genetics. Like you for example.

  • @coperone2

All that is alive hold the same or similar genetic codes that we can observe. That is life, yes we are all connnected one way or another. But to say that genetics ''proves'' Evolution, that one species over a mere 20-30million years can evolve into another is absurd. In fact it is faith, and that is why I would like to be able to observe fossil's as being transitional and as proof/fact. ERV's alone only show that life hold's the same key ingredient, it does not do anything else.

  • @hudfadz Every biologist would facepalmed right now!

  • @coperone2

If genetics is all you need then good for you. There is many more people that need more because clearly something is missing. But you have taken a position of faith and admit it. The truth is no one know's and no one will ever know, unless you go with what we can observe and what we observe today is fossil's which show NOTHING other then sudden appearance. If Evolution did happen to slow to observe, we would still be able to see transtional evidence on earth today.

  • @hudfadz Go to talkoriginsDOTorg :) I don't have time for this!

  • @hudfadz you do, of course, realize that everything living is this "transitional evidence"?

  • its head looks abit like an elephant with an un-evolved trunk

  • @PenguSan wtf... you still think god created this you ignorant?? omg... if you tell me ONE evidence that "god" created that i will give 1 million dollars

  • amazing

  • @ForTheSea BLESS

  • @ShalomGerusalemme Shut up with your Allah bullshit

  • color changing octopus for the win!

  • @whaty4525 I prefer Cuttlefish

  • no mate, nature is great

  • come share big fish with me Mr Octo :)

  • tripping..

  • NO MAMES

  • most coolest and beautiful thing i ever saw!!!

  • It looks like squidward with it's big nose!!!!!heheheheÜ

    I'm givin' it 5/5

  • WOW subhanAllah thats amazing!

  • that is beutiful

  • i wanna big fish

  • wow

  • 5/5 damn beautiful, talking about camo?

  • Some breeds of Octopus do see in colour, but the camoflage in both the cuttlefish and octopus appears to be regulated by their ability to sense the polarization of light.

  • Love this

  • @tmp2k A chameleon can change colour when completely blind. Not saying they're the same, but i doubt colour changing creatures rely on sight alone.

  • @tmp2k

Or that the skin has a colour sensor.......the world is a weird place, anything can be possible.

  • It looks like he even changes his texture not just the colors.

  • it visble its jus camafarge culor

  • this guys voice is suuuuuuuper relaxing

  • Is that the octo-mom?

  • get a blood sample and inject it through my veins my children!

  • holy shit! that is awesome

  • Cool!!!

  • They really are the masters of disguise of the ocean. As it has an almost entirely soft body it's not suprising that has driven it's evolution to give it this incredible ability. It relies on stealth and cunning to survive.

  • insaaaane!

    and TOTALLY badass

  • my new favorite animal

  • Amazing and scary. I'm terrified of marine life...

  • No need to be terrified from the marine life, they are pretty awesome. They're not there to harm us, just busy doing their thing.

  • Well said.

  • i couldnt have put it a better way :D

  • sometimes they like the company of humans and can distinguish between humans

  • if u dont bother them, they wont bother you :)

  • @materiaestelar BABIES

  • Man, this guy sounds like some sex hotline shit right there.

  • @Kingof666 lol x 1000

  • i love how it moves. it skurts and darts like a snake.

  • holy shit its camoflauge abilities seem almost out of sci fi movies or something

  • that's real!!!

  • That fish got owned lol.

That is pretty cool see crture

  • Truly amazing.

  • im thinking.. how can you say the they can only see black and white?

  • They studied the octopus eye and by the types of features and molecules present we can determine what colours (if any) the animals can see.

  • rods and cones bro rods and cones

  • octocamo

  • color as an idea itself does not exist everything is trully a shade of either black or white. the only thing that creates color is light bending on the surface of objects. w/o light there is no color. and since light itself is unnatural color is also artificial.

  • ninja O_O

  • Things like this are those that make me wanna live to see the world. The pyramids, the ocean, the northern lights, etc

  • he said Octopussy?

  • omg this cant be real i would have to actually be their myself to see it

  • What is true colour then?

  • i think its BLUE

  • Comment removed

  • either fake.. or they are aliens.

  • you're stupid...better?

  • amazing man!!!

  • Haha the octopus just keeps running away from the cameraman, guarding his food. "How the f*ck can he see me?! I'm invisible!"

  • hahahahaha roflmao

  • hahaha got damn

  • @crazychaoticcool lmao nice one

  • They only see in black and white, huh? Then how is it that they can remember colors in captivity? Shapes too.

  • Comment removed

  • Woahhh do they actually develop the same "texture" as their surroundings too? Thats dooope.

  • i guess not.. i think it can even copy the shadows so it looks like its bulging so it looks more camoflauge

  • DIVINE INTERVENTION

  • What?
