  • RLJ is one of the finest singers in my lifetime.

  • definitely one of the most awkward and uncomfortable performance i've ever seen. where are his eyes and where is her coffee and whoever told her she could sing. can't wait till i start posting vids

  • Dr.John, the fun!!!

  • very nice...looked like they were having fun with it, which is what counts the most

  • Oh yes...5 Stars!

  • I get tired of people posting about how stoned Rickie is She kicked her heroin habit way before this was done. Yet somebody has to throw in a comment about her being stoned. Yes, there are many documented examples of her being very fucked up, but this is not one of them. The My Funny Valentine clip is a good example, but her performance doesn't suffer at all

  • @westpalmscott I've posted one of those comments. I had no idea of her troubles. But the plain facts are, she is F-ED up!

  • @westpalmscott Good for you - my guess is that folks who make those comments are clueless. She has a very loose style - that doesn't mean she's stoned. Having been there myself, I don't see it - just a very talented stylist.

BTW - very good version. Dr John and Rickie work well together. Five stars.

  • Defenatly a real treat !

  • I love these two

  • I adore this duo.

  • Sheeeeeeeet...can I have an AMEN???!!!

  • nice little dance, RLJ... go ahead!

  • You go girl. Your in a league of your own. Dr John your a living legend.

  • Extremley cool...i love it so much!

  • Love Dr John`s piano playing. Rickie-Lee`s pretty hot, too.

  • not only does rickie lee sound fab, but look at her shake it...

  • dang blang it that some sweet shizzle

  • damn, this song's got soul

  • I think this is very COOL!!! Au Naturale! - they're having so much fun with this it's great - wish I could sing like that and bet others do too!

  • i love both rlj and dr. j. this is awesome.

  • thanks submarinepainter, reading the thread makes me curious. apparently another performance on video is available, tough to top this one I think, Is it also live? I definitely will have to search the version with Toots Thielemann and Peggy Lee.

  • Great MAtch up.. Most remember this

from Sleepless in Seattle. The song from a

musical of the same name datres from the 30s. What is the Venue here? I hear the announce say "e'll be right back"

  • uhm...I could be wrong but she comes off as really high on some kind of illegal substance here. I can't say I'm impressed...but Dr. John sounds good.

  • Yeah, the Doc is probably completely strait lol

  • She is FRIED, he has to escort her out...but they are GREAT!!!

  • uhm is dumb, and you could be wrong - they both sound awesome - you should just say thank-you

  • i love you rickie lee jones

  • Yes, a fine version of the song, Thank you jazzyvocalfan

  • Oh yeah Hawkeye!!!

  • I love this video, but they (Dr, John & Rickie Lee) made a better video of this - it was super. I believe it played on MTV - if anyone has it and can upload it, please do it. They were in a household scenerio and it just made you feel good when you watched it.

  • This is the only true version for this song, great! Sleepless in Seattle movie tells a lot about this lyrics!

  • Wow.

Thats a HUGE call, given the absolute greats of jazz who have performed this over the years.

  • Thank You!, by the way, I've seen back in 1990 the Sleepless in Seattle movie in big screen at the cinema, more than just once, and I love that sweet movie, a truly touch of heart, and so this song played in the movie express fits perfectly!

  • It is fine but that brass needs to tone.

  • I remember this being played on station here (Love94), and it is such an irresistable catchy tune...thanks for posting!!!

  • ALRIGHT!!!! I LOVE JAZZ KOOL VIDEO THANKS!!

I'm going out right now too see if I can find the cd kool!!!

  • Great performance & I love both Dr.J and RLJ! There's another terrific (and hilarious) Makin' Whoopee on YouTube - search Toots Thielemans and Peggy Lee.

  • Dr John never fails, and Rickie Lee Jones seems pleasantly whacked here!!

  • This song is of the Sleepless in Seattle movie featuring Tom Hanks and Meg Rayan. Love this music.

  • This song was sung by Eddie Cantor years ago. About 60 years ago.
