I think that the keyboards are retarded kind of for the ipad. But then again I guess that people care more about this if they actually paid for this. I have both the ipad dock keyboard and bluetooth keyboard and I dont ever use either of them. nut then again I cant really appreciate something that I got for free (trading)

Use the bluetooth keyboard with a WINGStand instead of the bluetooth keyboard dock. That way you can use it in any orientation and switch it out with your iPhone.

I've heard people say that the dock + keyboard or the keyboard dock makes the ipad into a touch screen netbook.

I agree and it's just kinda funny to me.

looks like unless there's some deep rooted PC needs than you should just get a dock and an ipad because they do basically the same stuff.

If we can buy an iPad and use it we can comprehend a review. Get to the point and move on. Bullet point what you want to say and get to it. I bought the Apple Bluetooth keyboard for my iPad cause i prefer landscape mode over portrait. But it is also compatible with my PS3 :) Id say go for the Bluetooth model keyboard.

@undeadnow That's a good point. But with this iPad + keyboard combo you get flexibility over a laptop. If you want to just read a book or browse the web, you can have it right in your hands on a couch. You only whip out the keyboard when you need to do the occasional heavy typing. Also, an iPad + keyboard is still lighter and smaller than the average laptop. (Just buy a case that has a built in stand, don't buy that silly dock.)

Excellent overview! Not sure the dock is a really necessary product, because most of the cases for the iPad I've seen actually stand straight up. So in a way you could easily use that. I know the Incase Convertible Book Jacket is an excellent product for that. I've been trying to get my hands on one, but they are backordered.
