It's too bad that this doesn't work when you're suitless. Even if it's in the perfect position, it won't work, only if the Gravity Suit is equipped (Varia Suit won't work either). Has anyone tried x-ray climbing up there? I tried, but it doesn't seem to be working, I might not be at the top yet though, we'll see. The map doesn't load if you haven't been to that area yet, I wonder if that has any effect. Be interesting to see.
@pepon10messi Yes, it's possible. What you have to do is freeze the gummy thing exactly as show, somersault onto it, crouch, and do a simple jump up & through the blocks. Honestly, it's success seems pretty randomized to me (in odds against your favor at that).
Wow, i hate Maridia. I've only ever played Super Metroid twice, once just a normal run, another time a 100% run. I hated it so much both times! IT NEEDS TO DIE IN A HOLE.
@jthespenger If you just want the spring ball, read up on the alternate/normal method of getting it in my replies to Iceman20004's comments. If you want to do the trick I show specifically, read up on the video description. If you still need or want help after that, I'll do the best I can.
Yeah hey thanks bro that helped tremendously I was able to Follow the instructions quite Clearly. There is however something that you do in the Video and that is a power jump through a door I tried and tried and everytime I went through a door it stopped I was aiming for the missiles in Maridia that you have to power jump to get. I have tried wall jumping and I SUCK at it though I do practice at it everyday
@Iceman20004 If you're talking about the missiles I think you are, then wall jumping won't get you anywhere. If it's the missile pack you get in the room just above where the glass tube is, then watch 0:35 - 1:35 of my Let's Play #17 (youtube won't let me link to it here). If you're talking about another missile pack, please explain in more detail where it is.
Ok, So I went the same Route that you showed for Obvious Reasons and when you Jump up through the Bricks after the sandy areas in Maridia I was NOT able to do that there must be some other way around if there is PLEASE post it the Segment I am talking about is at 1min and 4seconds
@Iceman20004 What you want to do is go to the room just before the one you're talking about. See that crumbly Grapple Beam block at the top center of the room's ceiling? Grapple on real quick and land on a solid ledge before it disappears. Once it does disappear, Space Jump through the hole it leaves behind. Continue up the shaft and go to the right, going up and over the top. Drop down and hug the right wall (there's fall blocks on the left).
If you need it still, I'll make a vid, no worries.
geez! O.o What the hell? I've had this game for 3 years now, and i could never get that freaking ball! Thanks dude! All I have to do is memorize now. :D
@Cydonia921 No problem, that's why I'm here. Please, if you have anything else you need help with, don't hesitate to ask. I'd tell you to request a video, but I'm not sure how long it would take to get up since I still have some glitches with my old capture method that need working out.
@Cydonia921 I open Audacity (an audio program) and begin recording from my microphone, then use the emulator ZSNES to record the gameplay so that you get my voice as I'm playing. I then do some noise removal in Audacity to get the background noise out and save it as an mp3. I dump the video from ZSNES as x264 lossless and set the max frame skip to 0 so I get an uninterrupted video. I just load them both up in Windows Movie Maker, line them up, mess with the volumes a bit, save, and upload.
@Cydonia921 I only use an emulator because I don't have the tools to properly record me playing on a real SNES (or money for said tools :/ ). All you'd need to record yourself playing is either a DVR or even a VCR if you have some VHS-to-DVD converting equipment. Cameras are generally bad. If you get a high dollar one, it can catch the video just fine, but there's always background noise to worry about. If that's the only thing that works for you though, I can go into detail on how to fix that.
In the room right before the one where I froze the jelly guy, you'd use the Grappling Beam to latch onto the hook at the top. Once it disappeared you would space jump through it and on up. There's some bugs near the top, so I'd suggest charging your beam before you started jumping. After you got up top, you'd simply walk over to the right and drop down (not to the left though, as those blocks disappear immediately after hitting on them). Then you'd go on normally and exit via the "fall" blocks.
You can also get it without the space jump, It takes some precision, but you can grapple the block and let it break, then spin jump between the gap, and wall jump through. Sure, it takes a little longer, but it only means you don't have to glitch to get the spring ball before obtaining the space jump.
It's a lesser-known glitch in the game. If you freeze the little jelly dude in that exact position and height, you spin jump on it, duck, and jump on through it.
1:20 A very good example of how perverted and crazy the creatures on Zebes can be.

@MetroidGamer12 i might. Also, I'm kinda plannig on making a walkthrough channel solely on Nintendo games. But...How do you get this so clear?
