The true thing about how much it resembles borderlans is not cel shading, but overall style. I mean, everything`s dirty, shaggy, the people looks like they were, like, in Fallout universe. Not to mention that characters resemble those in borderlands. Anyway, this could be an amazing coincidence, or Gearbox were inspired by this thing.

I'm starting to think that this may have been the inspiration for Borderlands. I mean, Borderlands is VERY similar to this video... A lot of the graphics look the same (if not better). And then the characters; A big muscleman, a crafty bastard, a regular warrior, and a badass chick with some sort of power. Surely I can't be the only one who sees this...?

but where's the story? Who are these characters? Why should we care about them beyond the fact they "look cool" and can kick butt? 7 minutes and ZERO character development. I've seen better character develpment in Warner cartoons the exact same length. and even managed to get tearful reactions from the audience

I'm not saying it's not entertaining, but if they put as much effort into the story as the animation it would have been 2x as effective.

@xiscoutix Actually the head of gearbox recently admitted that they looked at Codehunters for "inspiration" . They took way more than inspiration from it - Bus Design, Welcome sign, and tons of other stuff. Just google borderlands and codehunters together. Regardless, i enjoyed Borderlands and iLOVE this vid
