wtf is the point of runescape summoning other than to increase your cb lvl?

i mean, if 2009 is upgrade year make sure you can fully control your summoning during battle. the fucking summoning fight the monster for like 10 seconds and return to you, wtf? make an attack option that lets your summoning fight the monster without returning to you unless you call for it.
