@swoop1111 the Montgomery bus boycott was peaceful & brought the end to segregation on public transport in Alabama in the 50s. Gandhi got the Indian people to spin there own cloth which caused hardship for the mill workers in the north of England so when he came here he went to see them and explained why they had done this & got their support. both peaceful & effective methods of protest :) don't antagonize the police, don't fight back with violence but with brains. get it on film PEACE

For the most part though, it's perfectly legal to march along the side walk as long as traffic isn't blocked and people remain civil, which we did.
