  • @ TheRabidwarrior: Man you're simply so......ignorant.

  • It was pretty mean to sacrifice 2 henchmen for a hankerchief, I mean why the hell can't she just use her damn clothes to wipe it, And she doesn't have to wipe it, just look into it, that will still work, they deserve to die. And they can't even step on the sand without carpets? Yea at the end they are too scare to even touche the sand, for freaken sakes they have shoes! I hate people like those.

  • This is about the stupidest fucking movies I have ever seen. It makes no sense and it was a waste of 9 minutes of my life. It is dumb ass claymation figures walking around with slaves running around with carpet..........Soooooo GAY.

  • @TheRabidWarrior If you don't understand the symbolism in this film, you're either too young or too stupid. Either way, don't let the door hit you on your way out.

  • @streck15 Or you could have just told him.... you sure did'nt learn anything from the video, looks like you can only understand the meaning, you might as well be one of them

  • @streck15 Yea the point of this video Is that the rich is nothing without the lower class without the lower class, The higher class or nothing, they can't even touch the ground, like really? Are they really gonna to step on the ground because of dirty sand, man, these guys just made an ignorance judgment in their mind to not help the servants, plus they sacrifice 2 servants for just a piece of cloth, not worth it. Is that the point of the video? Where's mah cookie :D

  • I don't get the carpet. He rolls the front end to create more carpet to walk on but how come it doesn't run out?

  • @FriedEggsInTheSky Because he has 2 carpets :)

  • @prototyyp Oh right! I see now. Thanks mate :D

  • I think the moral is being a slave to someone else will be your inevitable downfall as will expecting someone else to serve you.

  • @TheOneThatYouLoathe

relationships require sacrifice from both parties until death(s) and depending on circumstance might be a beneficial sacrifice as well. excuse my terminology but the Jew and the Gypsy meeting on a common ground is heavily symbolic of 2 very different cultures coming together. the henchman for me at least represent the small part of yourself your willing to give up for the other person so you might grow old together

  • hah! who's gonna roll the red carpet out for you now?? seems more like people put too much emphasis on how they think they deserve to be treated as opposed to how they treat others. we all bleed when cut and have the exact same emotions. just remember that when you die you cant take a single thing with you and you are gonna decompose and stink as much as the next poor soul.

  • I know one thing. Ugly Broad better go her own hankerchief. >:(

  • two words.....Elitist Pricks!!

  • brilliantly disturbing...

  • another video with disproportional human figures.. or it just signify how disproportional human (life) nowadays? whew..

  • simple move in a concept all can understand ?

i didnt understand a thing. rich people suck, is that what this meant ?

  • Holy shit and i say that with dignity. Hah creepiest and most friggin disturbing but moving and amazingly smart short film

    I've ever seen

  • wow... a powerful message that doesn't need words...

  • I think its SOCIOLOGY not psychology! Thats a societal incident and it may refer to the conflict theory of Carl Marx but in the end we can see that the two bourgeois cant do a step without the lower classes - so its a bit of structural functionalism, too!

  • just like in real life :)))

  • Stunning Work

  • AMAZING!

  • what did the empty briefcase mean?

  • the capitalists have to remember the workers who work for their troubles. They should appreciate the workers. This video brings us reflect on how the world without the workers and left the capitalist. they can not "walk". just remember. so fuck to those who feel strange in this video is. I stress this .. and I know who would not like in this video. who else, the capitalist.

  • Why is every single short depressing?

  • that's bitter......and finally, we have a live feed from this theme directly in our living-room....just turn on your TV and look for the news......

This makes me sad......but hey => good video

  • I liked the symbolism of the empty briefcase.

  • well o.o really true

  • Haha! Nice!

  • Finally !!! Somebody put together a simple to see movie in a concept that all can understand.

The Financial elite, and I'm talking about the invisible ones not these marionettes on wall street, have and will continue to abuse their privelidge position till nothing remains. Then what?!!!!They will have to turn on each other then what again?

  • @01lombardi its all good talk, but unless u do something about it, u too, are the carpet roller.

  • @RedTracour

    FINALLY,

    THANK YOU !!!!!!

YES, I too could be a carpet roller for these AS*H***s but I decided to move to a village far away from the " AMERICAN DREAM " and now live a happy, calm and serene life free from the reach of the manufacturers of this world.

    What are you doing?

  • @01lombardi your argument sounds a little farfetched. where'd you get your facts from? define "American Dream". How do American Citizens own Government sanctioned currency? And if your so calm, why were you waiting for a comment like mine so you could be able to explain the pent up hatred for wealthy Americans you seem to have? If you are on the run from something, i doubt you will ever be truly happy, serene, or calm.

  • I moved to a small village away from the pull of the " American Dream".

I live a peacefull life not influenced by their manufactured world.

    What are you doing?

Are you still filling their pockets with the interest they're charging for the use of their money?

  • freaky O.o

  • ignorance=America

  • Bardzo dobry film. Pokazuje bogaczy np. z Manhattanu. Ludzi od dziecka przyzwyczajonych do niemalze wycierania im tylka. Zapatrzonych tylko w siebie i w swoje bogactwo. Ci ktorzy dla nich pracuja sa to tylko pionki w ich zyciu. Wykozystac i wyrzucic. Gdyby zabraklo wszystkich tych osob ktorzy na nich pracuja to pewnie umarli by z glodu, bo nie potrafili by zrobic sobie sami kanapki. Swietny film.

  • astonishing, great job!

  • 6/5

  • i wanna know whats up with the all seeing eye at the bottom of the screen?

  • twas strange, twas passing strange

  • powerful!

  • eeriee

  • wow

  • Meaningful short. Slow in/ out can be better. Hang time on feet at 3:31 has some mistake i think, it looks like the character floating to me. Very powerful concept, reflected the society we living in.

  • lol it's great...

  • What's the symbolism of the giant brass instrument?

  • art I think

  • i like "more" so much better

this was okay. had a point, but could have come around to it better

  • actually rolling with the carpet and let people walk on it is not possible, try for yourself

  • Comment removed

  • o well i did not ment it as an offens, i like the clip very much (too) but i just noticed it was not possible.

  • theres 2 carpets. once he is done with one it goes to the front.

  • great video, *****, thank you! :)

  • Are there the oppressed because of the oppressors, or are there oppressors because of the oppressed?

  • The selfishness

  • capitalism and its fall. great video. thanks for uploading. 5 stars

  • T_T, increible, emocionante, unico. Me llego al alma, felicitaciones por el video :D

  • Without us they are nothing.

  • This is BULL! This animation doesn't convey the reality that we live in, in the slightest!

In the real world there are always others to do do donkey work for less pay! Just look at America and the issue with foreign workers! The conglomerates wouldn't care if you die under their subservience, there will be always be another donkey to employ for less!

  • trumpet/brass instrument = ???

    anyone have any ideas?

  • I'm sure PupyZoid or some of you would say you just don't get it. Bullshit, I know what real Sacrifice is and that's not it!!!!!!!!!!

  • Subservience is nothing but a word for people in high places that need everything done for them. A true believer walks along side and suffers just as his friends do. Rich dick heads would like this video. It Sucks Ass!!!!Chris

  • @Topher4334 A true beliver in what?

  • Comment removed

  • @BOB10011001 That all men are equal!! I'm not saying that because of some book that tell me so!! At times it seems to me religious books were written just to justify a evil that is only caused men trying to control others and use a book they claim was written by God!! I believe in one God Or Creator!! Not in some book that men have changed and morphed to justify their cause for domination of the world! All life is not here to serve men and their EGO!!

  • It is so beautiful that dialogue would just ruin it. Hands down.

  • @jayseepingkian actually more like thumbs up- Do ya geddit

  • Well done, creepy and make us think.5 stars (not for the "creepynest" lol).

  • Excellent. The best I've seen of this kind since "More".

  • There are many parallels with the 'Petite Bourgeois' but all lived like this portrayal. This is a bit of an extreme, but many of these lived rather isolated and lonely, maybe even marooned. It was hard to find Trusted help and those who were made available were societies throw aways, maybe even modern stereotyping.

How many have tampered with the destiny of others in little intrigues here/there?

What would you do to discover your inheritance consumed by others who already left. . .?

    Hmm

  • The animation was more then sufficient as well as the "missing" punchline: a stupid senseless ending for those who just don't get it and a vibrant reminder about the fact that life isn't all fun and games when you finally wake up to the grim realities.

    This video was masterfully done.

  • aparently you cannot understand the meaning of the clip

    Clip name : Subservience

This should suggest you a level of servitude.

A man walking in a dangerous waste land with a servant that take care of his every step should have told you a bit more about the meaning of the clip.

    The endig is BRILLIANT.

None of the 2(him/her) are willing to make the sacrifice to move the carpet for the other, but they were willing to sacrifice both helpers for a piece of cloth.

Clip meaning: easier said then done

  • Wow! I totally agree bro, I just wasted 8 minutes of my life. I give credits to the animation but the clip is F"·king useless!

  • This would be MUUUCCCHHHH better in CGI.

Stop motion : CRAP CRAP CRAP! Soooooo yesteryear. Soooooo untrendy.

  • stop motion is more personal. It fits.

  • Qc !

  • never underestimate the depths of human stupidity.

  • that is the sad truth, just look at china.

    THIS IS AN AWESOME VIDEO.

  • @yolombal What about china?

  • @BOB10011001 Dude- look, china is like "More work, less money for the workers" in most of china's factorys the work conditions are really bad, it's like the people don't mean nothing but only are the medium to get money for their companies, ¿Don't you ever ask to yourself, why too many brands make his products in china?

search this (iphone +suicides)it will explain my point

  • @yolombal China has no bourgeoisie. They are theoretically all equal making this video the exacto opposite of China's current posision. How does this video have any parllel with china?

  • @BOB10011001 Yes you are right THEORICALLY ALL EQUAL... dude What are you trying to say? - if one person is not well payid for his work and has no oportunities of get a better life THAT IS WRONG To YOU!! but When it's not ONE person BUT A WHOLE CONTRY THAT IS RIGHT AND EQUAL TO YOU?? well You Are RIGHT They are all equal made slaves.

¿WHY CHINESE PEOPLE REPRESENT ONE OF THE BIGGEST NUMBERS OF ILLEGAL EMIGRATION??? Do You Have Business In China or What?

  • @yolombal The video shows the bourgeoisie trampeling on the rights of the less fortunate!!! The bourgeoisie are people who were given the opprutunity to get a better life and took it!!! IE. The system which allows the bourgeoisie to exixt allow the poor to exist also. So you tell me where china plays into this at all when it has no bourgeoisie.

  • @BOB10011001 Man you said the correct answare "The video shows the bourgeoisie trampeling on the rights of the less fortunate" and man that is what all the BIG BRANDS make and china allows to do that to his people. (bourgeoisie) It's a term of political economy to describe the people who have a productive medium (factorys, companies, etc)they are a social group that make the other people think that they need to buy some kind of thing that they really don't need - theTerm IsAlsoUsed by the marxism

  • Comment removed

  • @yolombal Its used in Marxism as in the Proleteriete wil overthrough the bourgeoisie. China has no bourgeoisie class. All is government owned, or at least heavily influenced by government policy. Yes i agree that the workers are payed very little, but that has nothing to do with the bourgeoisie.

  • Comment removed

  • @BOB10011001 MAN, bourgeoisie is people who have power and take vantage of that over the other people...Yes "ALL IS GOVERNMENT OWNED" and don't you think that the politycal class in china are the bourgeoisie class in that contry??

dude this video show the reallity in all the world not only in china... All the socialist government theory and the democratic theory WORKS PERFECT JUST IN THEORY all because a human factor GREED, the hman greed has no limits. please tell me¿what contry are U from?

  • @yolombal NO! I don't think that! Because the bourgeoisi by definition don't hold power because of government loopholes and corruption! They hold power because of ambition, oppritunity, and ownership of capital. And they don't use their power to take advantage of other people, they HAVE power BECAUSE they take advantage of other people. That said, not everyone who has power is bourgeoisie. THIS VIDEO IS NOT A SLIGHT AT SOCIALISM THIS IS A SLIGHTTHE BOURGEOISIE-WORKER RELATIONSHIP (CAPATALISM).

  • @BOB10011001" bourgeoisi by definition don't hold power because of government loopholes and corruption! They hold power because of ambition, oppritunity, and ownership of capital. "-government loopholes and corruption = ambition, oppritunity, and ownership of capital...That's all you need to have a corrupt government jajajaj What do you think is china, pure capitalism under the mask of socialism jajaja you Rso funny. It is getting funnier every moment,I wait for your to reply back URfunnyManjaja

  • @yolombal Cite your source. Show where you learned that people in gonvenment in china somehow manipulated the system to become a land owning class.

  • As a matter of fact, the only reason why China has become a global power is because the capitalization of their external policies. Socialism is a system always taken down by its enemy, Cuba has been governed by the same family for over 30 years, I call that bourgeois, would not you? Socialism is a system where a society is governed by a single party. ALWAYS, THAT IS EVEN WORSE, at least you can choose who is going to s*&t on you in capitalism, in socialism the same party does it @BOB10011001

  • @lfernang Absolutely not, no, I wouldn't. The bourgeoisi are the merchant class who gained power and influance by clawing their way up the foodchain. In China, the people who hold power because of government loopholes and curruption are more akin to the Nobles of the Second Estate, and The Castros may be considered the equivelant of the King, who exists independent of the estates. I`ll continue in my next post.

  • @lfernang The bourgeoisi of the Third estate were common people who through their own ambition attained greater influance, they were not handed influance and they did not attain influance through an insurection. The bourgeoisi class is in fact renoved from the society during communist takeover, with their wealth being redistributed to they people, and Iin Cuba, the class was sent to florda before trying (and failing) to invade (see. Bay of Pigs Invasion).

  • Oh, but I am very aware of the bay of pigs invasion, is just that I do not close my eyes to ideas or concepts, I give credit where it is due. Socialism does great by giving free health care and education, I admit that, but those are also limited to those who support the party, I have experienced socialism and comunism first hand as I have visited cuba and have many cuban friends and the gap between classes is wider, the proletariat are poorer, but yes, equally poor...next post@BOB10011001

  • and the gap between them and tha party is bigger, then is true about equality where your actions are based on whether you belong to a party or not, that is not even right, if it was equal people should be able to go to college regarless of their political party, and again, I know this first hand, I have been in cuba and have many cuban friends. also , if Communism and socialism is so good, why its biggest exponent (RUSSIA) failed?@BOB10011001

  • @lfernang I never said it was good. I said that the relationchip portratyed in the video had no relation to china. Communism is shit. It failed in Russia because it was overly extreme and hurt its people far mre then it helped. I don't think it can be fully implemented without simmelar effects occuring again. I never said it was good. Anywhere.

  • @BOB10011001 very good men, very smart, I got to say that for a second there you were defending socialism. we're good then.

  • @lfernang That's the first time I've seen someone give someone else a complement on youtube... :' }

  • bellissimo

  • I understood this video to be a way of showing/ telling us to respect those below us in society (janitors, garbage men, etc.), because they are just as important as the rest of us. Without them, we are nothing.

  • Anyone know some other vids like this that are cool but a bit disturbing?

  • These people aren't too smart. Their main transportation is very limiting. It's still an awesome movie! Great job! :)

  • That will never change as long as the world there is always the thing was so, ie if some sacrifice for others live. And it will not be now after the release of this video that things will change ... huh! x)

  • Strepitosa animazione, storia fantastica anche se triste.

  • short and powerful

  • kudos! really enjoyed it. someone please explain to me how the carpet can be "endless" once it's rolled from the back?

  • it symbolizes the impossible tasks the little one does so the big can proceed with their plots??that's what I thought when you asked anyway.

  • the carpet is not endless, the little one have tow carpets, look it in the seconds 0:30.

  • That was fucking bad ass!

  • I don't get why she drops the cloth.

  • A gust of wind

  • We see this played out in the $700 billion bailout for the rich while the poor can't manage to get health care in America. Why the ruling class seem to think give the money to the rich and let it trickle down. right. This is how the status-quo remains in place, insuring a continuing line of workers from the lower classes and maintaining subservience. good video.

  • While I agree with you for the most part, economic growth does in fact happen more in trickle down economies, so long as a purely capitalist system is in place. When regulations and other such obstacles are added to the equation, that's when wealth begins to slip from the grasp of the common man. So long as the little guy is willing and able to design new and better ways of doing things, innovation will continue to be the source of gain for small businesses and entrepeneurs.

  • @Logitellect Yes but true capatilism eventually fails naturally when one company gains a monopoly. If there is no competition and one company becomes all powerful, It ains the ability to both stamp out new competition and have no limit on prices except for the willingness of the consumer to pay, which is especially relivent in goods that are required to be purchased to survive.

  • If you ask me, I think the little guys should have used the sticks around the whole of sand, "thier is a massive log there too"

  • good vid

  • I cant believe those short, ugly, poor people. How could they have the nerve to die and not complete their tasks? They probably even got the ladies cloth dirty with their filthy hands. This film has really opened my eyes to the insolence of the poor.

  • ghjurx452, i hope thats sarcasm your using.

  • the director has a very dark view of capitalism. if those with power exploit the underclass to the point of extinction, they are left with... nothing. nothing but the inability to move around an utterly barren wasteland.

  • .... not much to this story... i'm sorry

  • never done a hard days work in their lifes,

    Liv together / die together

  • This reminds me slightly of the play "Waiting for Godot", but the colorful imagery is more captivating...

  • That will never change as long as the world there is always the thing was so, ie if some sacrifice for others live. And it will not be now after the release of this video that things will change ... huh! x)

  • The way I take it:

The 'bourgeoisie' exploit the lower ones and treat them as expendable, and only having done so to the point of losing their aids do they realise they've grown unable to do anything without the lower class, and rely on them for everything

  • Weird?

I posted this as a reply to "genericity"s comment, and somehow it ended up at the top?

    Twice?!

    Sry, bout that guys..

    :S

  • Actually, since theh Communists are seditionists and pirates, and seek to steal from and enslave Mankind, tehy do have to conceal their ultimate aims - usually in terms of some future "magical paradise" that will make everything better once they're securely in power. That's why James Burnham called them the modern equivalent of the Catholic Church.

Communists target "the bourgeoisie" for teh same reason pirates target merchant shipping - the mark is weak and the payoff is good. Full stop.

  • YES! YES!!! I finally have THE MOST VIEWED channel!!! Ha!

  • as amusing as it may be to say the servants eternally rolling the carpet, you guys are aware that its not physically possible, right?

  • That would be true if there was only one carpet per person. At least the slave of the woman can be seen with another carpet on his back while standing beside her, though. He lays down one carpet after the other and goes back to fetch the first one.

But I agree that one has to look twice to see that. I l o o k s as if he was rolling up only one over and over again...

  • Bourgeoisie? That is supposed to mean middle class, I don't understand why people always use that as a term for elitism or something

  • what the hell is this bullshit about???

  • reminds me of old mtv commercials

  • يسلم سلام

  • Someone finally captured my dreams on film, except all mine occur at night, in the shadows.

  • every should read communist manifesto, and then give comments

  • I have read it. This is what it says: "The Communists disdain to conceal their views and aims. They openly declare that their ends can be attained only by the forcible overthrow of all existing social conditions" They did just this, and they murdered hundreds of millions and impoverished half of mankind. I don't need the government to tell me anything--the blood of millions speaks for itself. Can the misery of all these people really be silenced by a coy Youtube video? Must history repeat?

  • The ends do not justify the means.

  • yep, just like it says "The Communists disdain to conceal their views and aims. They openly declare that their ends can be attained only by the forcible overthrow of all existing social conditions" why? there is no need to conceal what they'r going to do, coz they just do the right thing. do u believe a social transform without violence? check out the history of humankind! from primitive society to capitalism society, no violence, what a joke?

  • Franklyfran5,Not all communists believe in forcible overthrowing of governments. Who cares what you read, or where you read it. Communists killed millions but so does any other government or political party. Do you remember the Philippians. The US will impoverish half of man kind because of the corrupt system of government and economics that was doom to fall as result of avarice. rejection of a system based on what has happened before will no doubly bring us no change for fear of change.

  • Lazer, if they don't believe it, they're not Communists. It's in the Manifesto. And you have no grasp on reality if you think the Republicans and Democrats are out killing millions.

Why do you speculate about how America MIGHT SOMEDAY impoverish half of mankind, when Communism has AS A HISTORICAL FACT impoverished half of mankind already?

The Philippine situation was roundly condemned by the U.S.; Communist murders are STILL sickeningly defended by people like you. It is a sick system.

  • ???

  • love it

  • Folks, we have seen what Communism does--it is the system that enslaves kills its people, not capitalism. The people who put this together should be ashamed that they're advocating for a system that killed and impoverished more people than Nazism, all just to feed their artistic appetites.

  • i belive you are wrong. and btw communism is the most prefect way to run a country.. but people aint perfect so it has failed.. but so has capitalism.. I do not think its better dying on the streets then dying while working almost as a slave.

btw, communism is not a bad thing, your just a american so you are taught to hate the word. and btw, your capitalism has failed hard, and your bringing the world econimi down... Dont see the point by hating on communism

  • u know nothing about communism

just heard some bullshit from ur goverment

  • Not so fast. Think about what capitalism looked like in the beginning of the century.

Do you really think the situation would have improved without ideas of social justice and equality among the classes?

I doubt it. (Factory owners didn't volunteer to improve the conditions of their workers - they were made to.)

There is more than one country in the world today where capitalism is what it was in the west in the beginning of the century.

The video is as timely as ever.

  • But those improvements could only be made in a free, open capitalist society. In countries where the benevolent dictatorship decides who gets what, conditions are only improved when the government sees fit. Compare how Communist regimes treated labor unions like Solidarnost to how Western unions progressed.

  • very interesting!

  • you copy the same screen like dragon force operation gruon and poundig you are a copier

  • It seems like the boss can't do nothing without the slave, if you think political... well it goes for both Right and Left... back to the boss and slave if you think about, how in society sometimes the workers are the ones moving the company and not the company moving itself..... great film...

  • that was the stupidest shit i have ever viewed

  • communism? try capitalism
