I had the awesome job of doing the sound for one of his incredible 100 guitar extravaganzas at the Kitchen in the early 80's. What a job that was piecing together a huge hodge podge of recording and PA gear that we borrowed and found, and getting everything to work together in a reasonable manner. He generously credits me on the album back cover from the period. As I recall he came to rehersal with a big roll of bailing wire that he used to string most of the guitars, pretty economical!
