Danny kaye was not a gay. It is just a stupid saying cause his fantastic skill using voice permitted him to copy any kind of voice, including female voices. :)
the scene I like best is when he's hiding under the desk and has to imiate the different taps on the knees of the killers, so they won't notice they're tapping his instead
I like your video clip and have rated it as awesome. Please check out mine on some old trading cards of famous people: Danny Kaye, Lord Baden-Powell of the scout movement, Winston Churchill, Louis Armstrong, Charlie Chaplin, Yuri Gagarin, Walt Disney....

I met Danny when I was a kid....he was a gentleman who did not shun those who sought autographs

Who cares whether he was gay or not (I've no idea whether he was). But what an ignorant comment to make.
Danny Kaye was a brilliant comedian.

@abobyn I'm sure his wife (who was his wife all the way up until the day of his death) would be amazed to hear that.
He wasn't GAY unless you mean in the HAPPY sense of the word. He was simply a good man, with lots of energy, and talented beyond all reason.
You're lucky you didn't say that while standing infront of me. I would have punched you in the knows on Danny's behalf.
Ass.

Ummm...nope. Pretty sure he wasn't "a fag". But you're pretty darn rude. Jealous, perhaps? And even if he was, who cares? He was bloody fantastic!

I love Danny Kaye. So funny and talented and unique. They need to put this film on dvd, and give us a proper boxed set of his films.
I love Knock on Wood. I'll never forget when he's on the plane and keeps bumping into the woman... good stuff.

The funniest scene was the Ballet sequence, towards the end of this very good film. A pity it is not available on DVD.

This film seems to be unobtainable either on video or DVD. This clip is therefore priceless!
