  • ur following the same line show different shots and styles next time

  • is this ball good of scorpion and shark and in that catagory

  • Is this for strong hook Maximum flare

  • Can you do a video on the mutant cell pearl please?

  • What if you took the 1,5 inch pin buffer?? your reaction would be more angulair right??

  • This ball looks like it's really late, but really strong. Not bad. What'd you think of it?

  • ur a good bowler, u make every ball look like the best fucking ball there is

  • mutant cells reaction is so wierd!!! I mean its probably my favorite ball but i mean it rolls early, and the ball wants to hook more in the midlane, but then the core causes it to push 5 more feet, then it just hits the pins like a train.......

  • i dont think soo..t corner have got soo great hook and pin action..

  • I have the Jigsaw Corner now but i was wondering.....does the Mutant hook more than the Corner cause in both ur vids im noticing that the Corner is more of a continuous reaction while the Mutant is more skid snap.. right? And does the Mutant hook more than the Corner?

  • i think that the corner hooks more if you throw is in a way

  • the jigsaw corner hooks more and doesn't stop at the backend and doesn't die quick all you have to do is keep the ball clean

  • so which do you like better?

  • everyone is stupid the mutant cell is made by storm not roto grip the mutant is the sister ball of the virtual gravity

  • @Wardfan777 dude is roto grip NOT stor is a cell not a gravity!!!!!!!!!

  • @Xploziive yea but there made in the same factory. both storm and roto grip are together. i think storm bought roto grip a while back.

  • well ur partly right... roto grip and storm are sister companies and ofc made in the same factories.

But ur forgetting that Ebonite, Columbia, AMF, Hammer and track are all in one factory. They (aswell as storm+roto) share information to make the individual brands better. Which is a well known marketing strategy =) And benefits us as bowlers for getting the best possible balls :D

  • well i bought the jigsaw corner by hammer and the mutant i was told and the jigsaw hit about the same but the jigsaw corner has more backend. and bythe way this song played on this video is called lights out by breaking ben not hopeless.

  • I am aware of the track mistake. It has been mentioned several times already.

  • your 100% rightt jigsaw corner hits harder and does everything 4 uu

  • AMF is not poured in Hopkinsville, KY. AMF is poured in Texas along with 900 Global.

  • ....u r a complete moron

  • roto grip is amazing i have a mutant

  • i just got one and i got state coming up how fast should i throw it i know the ball i bowled a 289 with it but i still dont know it know it

  • Sorry, you'll prolly have to flip flop those last 2 posts for them to make sense.. lol

  • No, I'm not saying that its completelyt different. The primary thing that gave that line its luster was maintained differential throughout axis migration and a core that maintains its shape when drilled. It still does that, but outside of that, there are definite differences between the core in the Mutant and the other Cells.

  • It appears to me that your Mutant Cell goes pretty long. Or are my eyes just deceiving me?

  • Looks like it does go pretty long would compliment my bag well

  • It's not designed to do that though. It's supposed to be like the original Cell on the roids.

  • @vanni9283 No, it isn't designed to be a Cell on steroids. It does have a stronger weight block, but the block is also designed to push through the fronts cleaner and read the dry harder. The better comparison would be to call it a more economical Virtual Gravity.

  • Well, from what I heard about it, it's designed to have a similar motion to the original Cell, only stronger. I haven't seen much of it, but I hear it's supposed to be the strongest ball in the Cell line.

  • Well, you've heard incorrectly unfortunately. The only person I have heard say that is Randy Pederson and, as much as I love Randy the person and Randy the player, he doesn't have much of a clue when it comes to core dynamics, believe me, I've tried to educate him on them in the past. the higher RG combined with the lower diff in the Mutant will push the ball down the lane further and give it a sharper motion. The increased MB strength will also cause it to read the dry harder and quicker,

  • increasing its motion "off the spot" even more, giving it a much more defined breakpoint shape than prior Cell line balls. It's actually very different from the other Cells, albeit the core is a modified version of the original Nucleus core. It also utelizes a stronger coverstock and, yes, by quite a bit, it is the strongest Cell line ball to date.

  • So are you saying it's a weaker core, but a stronger coverstock?

  • Well, if you're going to take solely the RG and diff at face value then theoretically yes, however the increase in the intermediate diff causes the ball to read the dry so much quicker that the increased response time makes up for it being "weaker." What you really get is a longer/poppier motion that hasn't been utelized in the Cell line prior and the stronger cover makes it the strongest Roto Grip ball in some time, if not ever (the SD73 Classic might be a touch stronger, but it also depends on

  • the player, as always, condition and player dictate most of the reaction).

  • Something I wanted to add, the intermediate diff is the 2 digits behind the first in Track balls. Track ball designers consider intermediate diff to be so important that they now place it in the ball's title, as it often is the primary factor in the balls response time to the dry. This may be why, as most are programmed to watch the RG and diff of a ball to determine core strength, many manufacturers may refer to the intermediate diff as "core strength" now.

  • So, are you saying that this ball does not share the characteristics of the other 3 balls in the Cell line, like Hank Boomershine suggests?

  • @vanni9283 Sorry, I replied to this via phone and it wouldn't let me issue it as a reply, your answer is at the top of the page.

  • i'm sure randy knows a thing or two about that kind of shit. you sound like a jack-ass right now.

  • First off, the tone is not needed. I have worked clinics with Randy in the past. Randy is a great guy, a great ambassador for the game, a good coach in terms of physical game and a fun announcer, but he doesn't know core dynamics. The last time I did a clinic with him I spent over an hour afterward explaning the dynamics of asymmetrically cored balls and he still comes out with statements that don't make much sense. Just because you don't understand what I'm talking about doesn't make it okay

  • to call me names. I've worked in this industry for a long time and have worked exhaustingly to create an atmosphere dedicated to continuing education for others in my field. If you'd like to continue this conersation, please contact me directly rather than water down the comment boards here.

  • great video !!!! I just ordered a mutant cell today and this video makes me really excited to get it thanks !!!!!

  • good choice, make sure you clean it every time you bowl, use a good ball cleaner, powerhouse clean and dull works well. otherwise you will have a soaked sponge for a ball

  • what house is this at becuse states for pennsylvania is in york this year and i will be attending we may have to chat about a few things haha, anyways im liking the reaction of this ball it seems to react similarly to the columbia resurgence i have but having it for 3 years now it is dying from oil consumption and what not so i think i am going to purchase a mutant cell with the success ive had with rotogrip so far, i have 2 300's and an 800 with my neptune and a 300 with my rogue, lets go roto

  • noo im only 16 :L

  • not bad not bad ,,i got 3 averages ,, 190 212 n i think its a 196 at 1 place

  • well he cant bowl then can hee

  • Wow. The backend reaction that Don Harbaugh is getting with this ball is nuckin' futs. It's almost "too" much I would say. Wow.

  • dude you are a douche bag. if your style cant handle the ball then say that.

  • You're so true, everything nowadays is high end. I would like to have this ball, but there's no need for it when the patterns are breaking down so much faster. Plus, you could have any ball drilled a certain was to get a shit load backend..

I think the cell line has revolutionized bowling, but know rotogrip needs to go to something different because all rotogrip is doing is using the same core, new coverstocks and stuff... we need something new.

  • the mutant use a similar core not the same core as the other cells

  • I WANT THIS FUCKING BALL!!!!!!!

  • i love the cell bowling ball i had one but at the tournament i was at the ball got stuck in the ball return and hit a pin so i huge chunk came out of my ball so it was destroyed and the bowling ally didnt even give me a new one but anyways love rotogrip and might have to get this

  • Oh, adding 1 more thing, my Rogue is laid out slightly stronger than my Mutant as well. No joke.

  • Nice. That's a really good looking ball. Love the reaction. Just might have to get me one...

  • the black widow sting moreee i saw it in japan

  • THATS MY COACHES BOWLING CENTER!!!!!!! GO RICK!!!!!!!!!! new cell looks awesome. hope to throw it some time. love bowlers supply and all who work there and colony park lanes. you guys rock!

  • That is so not the same line with the rogue cell :P its kept on the flood waaay longer :P

But ohwell its evident that the mutant hooks earlier and more than the rogue.. which makes it the most hooking cell

  • Good quality video. Good comparison also. Want to see both layouts.

  • How was the Rogue Cell compared to the Mutant, and the Cell looked a little polished...but good video

  • For me, on Shark, I was 6 and 3 left of my Rogue with my Mutant, had more bump room right and was able to use a little more ball speed. Honestly, I've only thrown like 6 games on my Mutant thus far, but it looks INCREDIBLE. Strong, continuous and able to play a variety of angles. My only problem might be that it might be a touch too strong for me, but I also throw the ball 15 mph with a 350 RPM rev rate and almost no axis tilt.

  • What do you mean "much tighter than a THS"? Your shots seem to go out long with such an early layout and there doesn't seem to be much buffer.

    Is that a sport shot?

  • This is not a sport shot. This is Colony Park Lanes North typical house shot. It's much tighter in the sense that we don't have the "bounce" most house shots give the bowlers. It plays very tight for a house shot. We have a good amount of OB to start.

  • i see you thro 16 miles per gallon eh? haha. nice video. at first i didn't like the colors but i think its growing on me. i have owned all the american released cells. ( cell solid, pearl, and rogue) i love my pearl. my cell was incredible but it is dead now from overuse and improper maintenance. the rogue is great but i wish it hit just a tad harder. maybe this will be the next ball in my line seeing as i love the cell line and i feel its time for a new ball. i've been a good boy

  • How is your Rogue layed out for comparison purposes?

  • get to demo this ball out the 27th!

  • I just pre-ordered this ball...can't wait for it to come out!!!!

  • Can't wait for the demo on the 22nd!

  • that thing looks sick
