Hi. I like your video. As you have been using the vertex ssd drive for a while now, have you notice or experience any performance issues? I am in the market looking for a ssd drive for my macbook pro 2009 model as well. I have narrow the field down to intel, vertex and crucial drives. In the end it will come down to economics as these drives aren't cheap. Your suggestions or comments will certainly help. Thanks.

I don't get it: what's wrong with your itunes?

I've got the 2.6gz model with 2gb ram and 200gb7200rpm Hdd and my itunes starts in, I measured it three times, 2.3 seconds!,

and my mbp boots 45 seconds with HDD, although the boottime increased dramatically since I installed Bootcamp and since I filled up the drive. When it was new it booted 23 seconds!! believe it or not windows booted in 35 seconds! -now over 1:10 minutes

It's more likely, that your SSD will stop working one day, way sooner than the hard disk, since they're not as mature as the good ol' hard disks.

Oh my god how stupid some people are... Every SSD can stand +1milj. hrs of usage and normal hdd takes one fall or 1000hrs of usage... Get your facts right... no moving parts > needle on ceramic disk.

your typical HDD will last well over 5 years in constant use 24/7 if you dont do matianance on you pc/mac will die alot sooner. scsi last even longer

as for SSD's no one really know yet in the real world only on paper, chips also have a read/write life span. there still way too new

@HuNingning You are mistaken. SSD's will die eventually due to a hardware error. They are susceptible to the same problems as flash drives. They do only have a limited amount of reads and writes (though this is an ENORMOUS amount). Granted, SSD's are proven to be faster and more reliable. I'll happily stick with my Samsung 1TB F3 drive (Fastest HDD available at present at 1TB). I have not ever had any issue with Hitachi drives btw.
