I love how the final fight in the movie is set up to be just like the final fight with genome. Similarities include breaking down to just fists, Nia watching Simon fight her creator, Simon using his personal drill to finish the enemy, and the enemy being able to talk after receiving the same hole in the chest.

The will of these three were the strongest, so they were able to overpower the giga drill. Resulting in awesomeness.

@suyangsong That was not the "real" universe. This was actually an alternate dimension created by the Anti-Spiral to hide their homeworld. That's why all previous attempts in the past to defeat them ended up in failures. Nobody was able to find it. However, because the Anti-Spiral was holding Nia hostage, Simon was able to "sense" her and break through dimensions to finish the fight.
