  • This is 803drake here! I am a beginner and I was wondering wat typ of electric guitar I should buy? That's price is from $150-$220?

  • I just started playing and I want to invest in a good, affordable acoustic guitar (classical). What would you reccomend? I've heard Yamaha's are the best for beginners, but I'm finding them to be quite expensive.

  • @ThisIsRiskyBizness I started about 3 months ago and bough Yamaha f310...it's really easy to play, I played on my friends guitar and I felt the difference! Sound is really good...it costed 129 €, so I think that's a good price :)

  • @beefee22 The ones I've seen around here are ranging from $150 - $250. I looked into a Fender Squier and brand new it's only about $90, but the reviews I've read are saying the newer ones are really cheap quality. I'm hoping to spend no more than $120.

  • @ThisIsRiskyBizness hmm well, I wanted to spend less too...but if the difference is only few € (or $) you should go for the better one. I hope you will find one that will be cheap & good :) good luck!

  • Great lesson, the word you were looking for was ominous about halfway thru. Thanks for all your help

This guy taught me a lot in only 2 days! Now I just wish my middle and index finger would stop hurting. It hurts typing this...

  • Thanks Marty. I just started playing a couple weeks ago and I don't even know any chords. I found another guy on here before you and he started me off learning the staff. At least I can say I can play Ode to joy on 2 strings and read string 1 and 2 on the staff. Point being, I believe you're going to be able to help me a lot more. I need to get some chords learnt and stop picking on 2 strings one at a time. Thanks again.

  • Marty>everyone

  • Great lesson! This is a great way to transition into something more than just straight strumming. I'll be working on this for a while.

  • You are awesome man, thanks for the great lesson

  • This guy is the perfect teacher. Where did you come from. I am learning so much. Thank you sir.

  • @JAZZTYPE its marty songs

  • GOD BLESS YOU!!!

  • Thanks!

  • rock on marty, my man!

  • Ohio by Neil Young uses the same chord progression Marty is using. The second part for it is I believe D minor and G instead of the A minor and D on this tune.

  • THat was the first progression I learned XD

  • Into the night by Chad Kroeger and Santana :)

  • Sweet lesson, Marty. Another progression similar to this that I use a lot is G, C, Am, Em. Easy chord changes and it sounds great.

  • Thanks Marty, What song is this? Any suggestions on how to get my strumming volume even, I have a LOT more variation than you do.

  • Thanks Marty, really helpful. You taught me everything i know!!!

  • you rock marty!!!

  • Martay,

    Another great lesson.

    Rock on.
