  • Yes, I've been a successful stand up for over twenty years. I've seen this guy, Dean, perform many years ago at a fair and he sucks. I only comment because I hate to see guys like this Dean character misleading and taking advantage of people. If he would have been any good as a comedian he wouldn't need to try to teach people how to perform. Which, buy the way, he sucks at as well.

  • @LouMrCK-Noted. And thank you for your insight. Perhaps, I misspoke. I have not been able to audit one of his sessions therefore I will concede that you know more about this instructor than I. I do get a lot of invites from his 'email campaign though-lol. By the way, are you a stand up? Just curious. If so, I have a buddy currently going through a program that 'teaches' stand up (not Greg Dean).

  • The last guy's "why" routine is stolen. I suppose it depends on who did it first. I don't recall who it was that did it, but I've seen one almost identical to it from a more well-known comedian. Maybe look it up on youtube and you'll find it. It's a shame to see comedian's steal material. I'm surprised Greg Dean didn't notice this (again, I'm assuming the first more well-known comedian was the owner of the material).

  • @mattmgarza The "Why" routine was originally done by Louis C.K. You can find a copy here on Youtube if you search for Louis C.K. Why.

  • @MrLouCK2-What these students are doing is incredibly frightening and courageous all at the same time. If you've got nothing encouraging to share, move on to another channel. Remember, all great comedians started similar to this. Most flopped, but kept at it. From Sienfeld to Chris Rock to Eddie Murphy, to Ellen D., you name it. They all had humble beginnings but, their determination over shadowed their fear.

  • @UGOMANGO12, You miss the point. It's not the students. It's their instructor. He's ripping them off. He knows nothing about stand-up and less about teaching. These people pay good money for instruction and they get a guy who's been a complete failure as a comedian and an instructor.

  • It's a good thing these people brought their families to see their one and only show, at the room they had to rent, in order to tell the one and only joke they could come up with. But hey, the camera work and sound makes it all pretty laughable..

  • the last guy was funniest

  • good stuff man. Definitely going to pick up your book soon.
