From what I've seen, you couldn't be farther from the truth. Granted, some soldiers do like getting shot at, but very few joined for that. Some joined for the GI Bill, some joined for the health care for them or their family, some joined because they were misguided by their recruiters. I joined because I wanted to make a difference, honest to god, but also because it just felt right. Then, of course, I get a fractured spine and compressed disks, and I can't tell where I belong now.

The interview in the second part was beautifully done and I cried to listen to and see the pain of that soldier.
