dammit, dammit, dammit, dammit! My 9 years old XP - piece of shit - can run this game BARELY on the lowest, loading screens take about 20-25 minutes... warhead runs too, LOWEST, laggy as fuckin hell! thankyou very much, me, for not buying a new comp 5 fucking years ago! hm, nice video anyways..
I got a amd athlon 2 x4 630,6gb ram,1tb hard drive, windows 7 64 bit,and gtx 260, I cant seem to get crysis to run steady at 30+ frames no matter what i do as far as resolution or settings even on low settings and with 800x600 resolutions on low I still couldnt average over 30 frames a second....am i exspecting too much from my system or does this sound not normal? I can play the game at very high settings but the frames average between 10-20...on all resolutions...any info is greatly appreciate
@liandriunreal Try both dx10 and dx9 and try downloading a high quality config, also update all your drivers and perhaps flash your BIOS ask a friend if you arent so talented.
ok shit maybe not ut not good look at dx11 that looks fucking real and in 5 years dx12 will be to 100% out and maybe dx13 too the difference of dx 10 to dx11 is awesome huge so think about dx11 to dx 12 or dx 13
@multimodder well, supposedly Crytek will release a patch that will make the graphics even better once the technology picks up. we'll just have to wait and see if they live up to that.
i cant believe normal crysis looks better than crysis warhead. Lol what was crytek thinking when thye released this game in 07. This thing should barely be hitting the shelves now.
Cryengine 1 and Cryengine 2. Completely different from the ground up. The two engines only share a single line of code and it's an action script for the menu. Mind you Im talking Far Cry 1 and not [Far Cry 2 which is made by a different company and on Dunia Engine not Cryengine.]
Have you actually played Far Cry 1 lately? I used to look awesome but it's so primitive now. Crysis stomps all over it.
around 50 with 1x 295, cant remmber what I get with both 295's installed. Had to RMA the 2nd card because of a loud and annoying clicking sound comming from it (check other video).
This is just a test video atm, Im trying to find the best settings to get really high quality HD video from fraps to Sony Vegas. The video really dosent show how beutiful crysis looks. Looks like Youtube washed it out a good bit.
lol yea, just noticed that after popping in my 2nd 295, got more fps with 1 295 than 2 + fraps went to 10fps when recording, lmao. Defently need better drivers, ill try the 185.20 tomrrow, i heard they are really good for the 295's.
lol yea, Im trying to find the best app that converts these fraps videos to very high quality 720p vid's, I bought badaboom since they said it now supports FRAPS but whenever I try to import a fraps video it says not supported, lol. Ill try badaboom when i find a fix for it.
Allso i added you to Live in GTAIV Computenator :)
The high-frequency clicking sound is caused by a weak power supply. A single GTX295 requires a minimum of 492W power supply. Two of these require 984W Minimum. Plus that by 100-200 which is for the other (RAM, HDD, CPU) you end up needing around 1300W.
The clicking sound isnt because of a weak PSU, I have a 1000w PSU and 1 of my 295's dosent click but the other one does, even with just 1 of them installed it still clicks. And they do not require 984w for both... On idle they use 300.7w, on load: 674w, and peak power consumption: 735w.
@MouthofSaurons lol dude its minimum 500w with ram hdd and mb included and everything. graphics cards cant even use up that much power(well i think the most a pci e slot can use is 300w) so u only need a 800w psu to be good

RED7309 2 years ago
Haha Crysis demolishes Far Cry on any setting but loa. And damn near any? What about all the crappy mid range cards when DX10 first came out?
geeknproud2110 2 years ago
they will work but lower details and resolution, but that's still good! lol

How much FPS durning recording?
dempere02 2 years ago
when recording like he is with fraps, it decreases performace and fps by half.
DMG6 2 years ago
Cool, where do you get the mods from? =/
As for the fraps video, use a program called sony vegas pro 8. It reads and can render your film in extremely high definition quality. 1280x720. =]

@LaGgY42o well how much is the efficiency of your PSU, because it may get 1000W from the electric system and to give only 700W to your PC...
