I think every instrument has its own difficulties. I play guitar and drums and when i compare the two, it's got their own points where I find it harder to do something then on the other instrument. For example, hitting fast notes on a guitar is definitely harder than on a drum, but drums are harder when you look at how much stuff you have to do at the same time. Just my 2 cents.

I would say that drums are a harder instrument to learn and master. But if you look at masters of both crafts (Jojo and Benny for drums, guitarists are harder to grade but Johnson, Gilbert, Lagrene) they are all fantastic musicians, with little to choose between...

I would more likely say: both of 'em are pretty close in difficulty. standard rythem is pretty easy to pick up on drums. but so are the low level piano tunes everybody knows. on the other hand, both piano and drums are really hard to master on the higher levels. where the piano requires all fingers probably to be used seperately. with the drums, it's all limbs to be used seperately. so I'm not gonna say that either one is harder. it's close

with drums u have to focus on the rythem as well as flariness with ur fills and all.. and making beats like this isnt as easy as some people say it it..

on second hand piano is difficult bcause so many different keys, chords, styles, etc..

and all instruments are related...if u play guitar or bass ull have an easier time learning piano then a drum player..its a matter of where ur more co-ordinated to some point

To a piano, you must understand to control both your hands with ease to play 2 (the max I heard of is 7) different melodies with your hands. well, they are different instruments, but i as a pianist really think that to become an expert pianist is way more difficult than being a expert drumer, i know some of the basics on drums, and drumers you just have to focus on the beats of the song, some syncopated and some others at time, but as a pianist you have to focus on the beats, on your legs to use the pedals, on the melody, on the softness of the song, about pressing the right keys and some other things..
