I never really liked the look of the B17. The B29 or the Lancaster look better to me. Or even a C47 in invasion stripes. That said, it's great to see (and more importantly, hear) these great planes. Give it 'em back indeed.

@AlfaBoi124 i got to ride in aluminum overcast. ( a b17) my uncle asked me to video it from TG. he was a TG in ww2. after seeing the shot he passed away 2 days later. i got to give him one of his wishes

Not really. After the war, they were scrapped wholesale at Davis-Monthan but those are long gone.  There are less than 100 total airframes known to exist.

the basic flying fortress was manned by a 9 man crew. I have read others who are not knowlegible. any historian will agree with me that a B-17 crew consisted of 1 pilot, 1 co- pilot, one top gunner, one ball turret gunner, 1 tail gunner, 2 side gunners, and one nose gunner, and the bombadier, get it right.

The nose gunner was also the navigator, and you forgot the radio operator, who was always aboard the plane for obvious reasons, so the standard crew of a late model B-17 was 10.
