  • I play both games, snooker and pool, although I do prefer pool. Reyes is my god in terms of 9ball and pool table games overall.. But I assure you, if Reyes put some effort in snooker training he would go as far as Selby for example. I have much respect for the game of snooker. These games are different. But they have one thing similar. You shoot the balls with the cue on a table. So plase snooker players, have respect for pool players and vice versa. End.

  • Do you know the difference between Efren Reyes and Jimmy White?

    4:34 What a fluke!

    6:55 What a shot!

  • @ValerioPlayLife This was a close match, put Reyes on a snooker table with Jimmy and i'd bet on a white wash

  • @larwhelan I would not be so sure like you.... Reyes is an amazing player and they say once he won an asian snooker tournament.... they say also once he defeated Ronnie O'Sullivan in a snooker money match.....

  • @ValerioPlayLife "they" say a lot, if not a whitewash i'm sure it wouldn't be a close match on a snooker table the pockets are tight the table is big its a much more difficult game

  • this is the match of the tournament,a match where you have to take a risk to win the game..

  • its pathetic how much you can miss the hole by in this game then it still drops in. lol.

  • LOL there sure are a lot of snooker fans that are mad at pool. Can't really blame them, pool is more popular worldwide as oppose to snooker, which is suffice to say virtually non-existent. Rant all you want about how snooker is better than pool. Nobody cares, only stupid idiots like yourselves.

  • You know all I ever see are people saying things like " the pockets are so big". Let's clear this up for whoever reads this comment. Snooker table pockets are smaller but then so are the balls you play with. The only real difference is the size difference of the tables, which doesn't affect ball pocketing for any decent cueist. Discussion ended.

  • @chevykicksass505

Nope.. Snooker pockets angle in, pool pockets angle out.

Thats why snooker players think twice about some shots. And pool players often use the walls for getting it in.

  • @chevykicksass505 ridiculous comment, guessin you don't play a lot of snooker? on those pool tables you can near hit a ball halfway up the rail and it could still slide in.....try doin that on a snooker table

  • @chevykicksass505 I'm guessing you have never played snooker.

  • @chevykicksass505 Look at the 2 ball Reyes pots and try that on a snooker table!

  • @chevykicksass505 geeee thanxxx....you broke that down with such simplicities, and its that simple...i cant stand those snooker nuts, smaller pockets, and BALLS...good comment dude

  • why does this prick always half to be commentating, hes more of a darts commentator

  • does any one have this full match ????

  • I wish that bloody Welsh bastard would stop shouting.

  • 9 ball is not a fair measurer a players skill.

  • snooker ftw

  • I was sitting here watching a bunch of other people sitting around watch 2 guys play pool, then I thought "Wow, I better get a life"

  • The commentator is so bias .

  • Efren Reyes only won this match because he cheated. FACT!

  • @Matthewkilb YEEAAHH!!!!...He's taking steroids...GO TAKE THE TEST AND FIGHT FLOYD MAYWE!!!!...OH!....sorry....wrong channel...

  • @aughreigh88 Wow, what a truly bizarre reply. Efren Reyes intimidated White by shitting in his dad's face prior to the match.

  • @Matthewkilb HAHAHAHAHA! THAT IS SO FUNNY.....

  • @Matthewkilb how's that ??

  • @xxfroobxx He stank the place out with a massive steaming shit right before the match.

  • "He played that with right hand side, there's a reason for that, but I'm not sure what it was"

Hahaha Steve Davis mocking Reyes' cue action!

  • Reyes(8balls 9balls 15balls one pocket 10 balls and Carambole Player) vs. Jimmy White(Snooker)

  • i'm a snooker and 9 balls player , it is so difficult for the 9 ball player to play the snooker because the snooker table is bigger than the 9 ball table and the snooker measurement is more difficult but for the snooker player it is so easy to play 9 balls because the pockets and the balls r big and the table is small so it does not need very accurate shots

  • @mrspeechless100 are you sure?? so why there is no Snooker player winning the WPC? or even any of the big 9 ball tournaments like World Pool Masters, World Pool League, US open or any other 9 ball tourneys in US ??

  • That safety from Reyes was insane and the next shot from White was even more insane. In the mist of this insanity the arguably greatest 9 ball player ever, Reyes, pulls out another defeat on another superb player. Guess The Brits need a lil' more practice or a born genius in which we find in the pool Master Reyes.

  • At 4:42 jimmy's like fuck yeah, ive killed bears with a rock and my bare hands

  • snooker players will play pool(and i think they find it fun and they only play snooker becuz of the money) but i dont think pool players will play snooker i think theyll find it boring no offense this is a pool video wakokokokok :) i tried to watch snooker and guess what i almost slept for an entire week snooker videos are good in making people sleepy and they are all stiff lol

  • @thePOOLmaniac you're just impatient in that case

  • "He's got more balls in than there's on the table!"

  • crap.. efren reyes is too damn good...

  • Two greatest players. snooker and pool

  • My two favorite players. Only Jimmy tried to beat a pool player with a snooker shot. That was not a very smart play.

But he could still kick my ass on the table.

  • am i the only one who feels like killing that commentator when he says "leave it to me pal!!"

  • great shot from jimmy

  • Say that to Daryl Peach!

  • one word... EPIC!!

  • Jimmy should of never ever given Mr.Reyes another chance at the table.

  • That blue shot at 2:36 was a miss, what a joke of a table.

  • Never mind about commentator Sid he is made for Darts not pool and pool is good but i find Snooker more challanging and a better sport. Harder to play too

  • Efren is masterful playing "golf" on the 12 foot snooker table with extra tight pockets. He beats out serious snooker players gambling his own money. Bellflower Hardtimes California is his room of choice once he steps off the plane from Phillipines. I witness this feat several times every year.

  • Omg this british guy is soooo annoying.

  • The Thrilla from Manila

  • Hey, do you know if there is any footage of efren playing snooker ?

  • Such biased commentators, and ignorant as well. Just knows the game of snooker, and nothing much, such a pity.........

  • Has Jimmy White played one pocket ball? Carramble? eight Ball? Straight 15 Balls? Efren had been a champion of all these. Snooker is too boring for an intellectual player, its not even bringing strategies compared to all these games I mentioned.... Jimmy White shot from here was pure luck, why? his white ball is not in a position for another shot, thats pure luck. But look at Efrens bank shot , it takes a genius to accomplish such....

  • @pandoyification ....so by your argument pool players can be rubbish and hit pure luck shots and still win games? Snooker is a far more technical game, but I do agree with you that pool can be pure luck as you said, and you can be rubbish and lucky and still win.Lol!! This would never happen in snooker, but if you like games of luck, fair play to you. Pool is a bit of a luck game anyway.

  • @coltsuperocean10 I would not be shocked that snooker players have low IQ, cause youu yourself had demonstrated it. Yo did not understood my statement and yet just plain ignorance in you projected your arrogant egoistic behaviour....hope sometime we can meet and play your game and my game so we may see and understand the difference....

  • Does anyone know what that commentator is saying?

  • what an annoying commentator...

  • raies

  • These pockets are whores. Swallows everything. :D

  • These pockets are whores. Swallows everything. :D

  • That commentator dude beside steve was "fair"

  • I love JW's expression after ER executed his own short -rail bankshot.

  • no. fucking. way.

  • magician simply knows the magic

  • "look at that whoopidy line there"

  • Best match i've ever seen!!!!

  • this was an exciting match i've watch it, 'glad efren reyes win i know he would :)..

  • can somebody tell me the rules of the 9 ball game? plz!

  • @CrazyDuck1996 Balls numbered 1-9 are used. Players must shoot/make contact with the lowest numbered ball on the table first, failure to do so is a foul and ball-in-hand for the opponent. It is allowed for the opponent to shoot the lowest number ball on the table first and pocket another number ball. The 9 ball can be pocketed legally by the cueball first contacting the lowest numbered ball for an instant win.

That's the gist of 9 ball.

  • @SirNoobs thanks but your a little late...i already learnt to play lol

  • @SirNoobs I thought also if u pot on the break and r snookered on the lowest numbered ball ur allowed not to shoot the lowest numbered ball and push out but ur opponent can put u back in if he doesn't like the position u leave him in? And also in 9 ball don't u have to pot or strike a cushion after the object ball for it to be a legal shot?

  • @Jimmynable Yes, if you're snookered on the first ball you can call "push out", your opponent can pass the shot back. And yes, unlike snooker and some rules of blackball, after contact, the cueball or balls have to hit a rail or else it's deemed a foul.

  • that was AMAZING

  • It's Always Efren. :))

  • snooker may be harder but we can't deny the fact that pool is more fun and exciting to play and watch! :)

  • one of the best breaks in the tournament....

    and Jimmy has no shot...

    lmao

  • 5:44 the brittish are bad at math.

  • @KrisKustomPaint it is called MATHS for short. you dont say 'mathematic' do you, it is MATHEMATICS.

  • @sr19 Who ITF says Maths? The brittish are bad at maths. hmmm sounds stupid.

  • Comment removed

  • @sr19

and maths makes sense? the real word is mathematics.

  • @zenitius great argument there....you've really shown me up. maths is short for mathematics and is an accepted shortened term for it. come back to me when you actually have something worthwhile to bring to this discussion.

  • @sr19 lol you started this, if you're going to shorten a word whats wrong with math? the fact is does it really matter i was just trying to point out the logic.

  • @sr19 You're not from the U.S. are you? Because here, we say math.

  • @mstcookieklein yes i am british.....although apparantly according to your fellow countryman the british are bad at maths.

  • @sr19 Just ignore them, that's what I've learned to do when it comes to ignorant fools like that :)

  • Wow. Reyes was SO lucky.

  • God dammit, these European audiences are absolutely ridiculous. American audiences have RESPECT for the competitors, these people were awful.

  • @nukm4 watch a game of british snooker.

  • i wonder how much the commenter bet on jimmy

  • This is hilarious. a snooker player pitches up with no practise , has a few beers and nearly beats the 'greatest pool player'.

  • @widebody123 LOL White played consistently pool before playing in the wpc. And 9 ball is a game with a lot of luck and short races. 9 ball in this format doesn't prove a lot in term of skill. If White played Efren in 10 ball or rotation or even more one pocket, White would be murdered by Efren sorry. I really appreciate White in snooker tho.

  • @89Slh I think you might find White holding his own in a game of straight pool against Efren

  • @bigderekkeene Yes i don't deny White could create problems to Reyes at straight pool. But I really don't see White winning against Reyes at long races of 9 ball,10 ball, rotation and especially one pocket. The same is Reyes playing snooker, he can't beat White on a snooker table, with the difference White played pool and Reyes played snooker only once in a tournament, because as he said often he doesn't like snooker.

  • @widebody123 yah but efren also beat white in snooker for money game daryl peach will be the witness of that.efren is the fucking greatest player who ever hold a cue stick it doesnt matter if ts snooker cue or pool cue.

  • Jimmy is a a good sport and a good guy.

  • Jimmy White looks like a frog at 2:00.

  • snooker sure is tougher but pool is more exciting! :)

  • After the break... 147... :D :D :D 1/4/7 ball

  • I cannot express in words how much I love Efren for the shot at 7:01.

  • bloody friggin awesome shots

  • reyes could win with his eyes closed

  • Oh God do I wish Jimmy would of won this match.

  • I just feel very easy playing pool after playing snooker. And if I go to a snooker table after playing pool, potting becomes hell. I think the wider pockets of a pool table make it easier to pot balls.

  • @sshakababy its not the size of snooker pockets that trips me up, its that they are rounded.

  • @sshakababy I think u mean u feel very easy potting..any pool player knows that playing snooker actually ruins u'r pool , it takes away the feel and control of the shot.

  • @sshakababy Potting balls is easier on a pool table. That's undeniable. But determining which game is harder is a completely different comparison. They are both incredibly difficult to get good at.

  • fuck this british commentator!!

  • Has Reyes ever played snooker?

  • @coltsuperocean10 Yes. He won the gold medal at the Snooker event of the 1988 Southeast Asian Games. (I'm not sure about the year but I'm sure about the gold medal.)

  • @jayrecto I heard he knocked in a century in snooker with his American cue. Not sure how true it is but its believable!

  • @jayrecto Sorry where did you get this information from? I can't find anything of this description on his wiki. Apparently he was never a snooker player.

  • @jayrecto HA YEH THE 'Southeast Asian Games' WHICH ONLY 'Southeast Asian folk' PARTICIPATE - AGAINST ANY OF THE TOP 250 AGAINST THE WORLD EFREN WOULD GET HIS ASS KICKED IN SNOOKER. HES A FUCKIN BADMAN AT POOL THO!!!!!! :)

  • @pistolpeeroy you fucking retard smalling efren with his snooker skills? he played 3 cushions try playing that. it is way harder than snooker. you piece of shit. and why jimmy white didnt win efren with this one? he is a snooker god. but Snooker And Pool Are very different sport.

  • @coltsuperocean10 : if reyes will play snooker. it will have the same result. he beat all snooker players.. thats why he didnt attemp to play snooker to give way to the snooker players.... hes simply the best...

  • @bob07071985 although i think reyes is one of the best at pool, i doubt he'd beat jimmy white in a game of snooker

  • @8down10 : hmmm... either... :)

  • @8down10 i think he could coz efren already beat osullivan.

  • @princekody when? i'd like to see that

  • @bob07071985 . is this guy serious? with the cue action that reyes has, theres no way he could play professional snooker. i play all cue sport and am half filipino.

  • @coltsuperocean10 Has Jimmy White played, Straight Pool? One pocket ? carramble? eight balls? and alot more? I dont have anything against snooker and their players, but it seems in this video the commentators are ignorant. Perhaps they only know the game of snooker and nothing else....

  • @coltsuperocean10 I've heard he did something like knock in 3 or 4 centuries with his American pool cue. I'd just like to see a cross-over tournament. 9 ball vs snooker so you get the best 9 ballers playing snooker and the best snookerers playing 9 ball.

  • 4:40 best shot i´ve seen ever O_o

  • @kaatanglove Best shot you've ever seen is a fluke? You should get out more. ;) JK It was a good one.

  • @bird80 i don´t play or watch pool that much as i assume you do so yes it was the best shot i´ve seen. ;)

  • has the rumour of efen reyes playing ronnie o sullivan and jimmy white at snooker and beating both true? its been posted a few tiems over youtube.

  • @stitcha123 Go to 9ballpool.co.uk Click "interviews, Daryl Peach" and read his answer to question number 7. That's the closest I've found to "proof". I don't see any reason for Peach to lie about it though.

  • @stitcha123 all bullshit, no proof

  • @adibeh interesting. i suspect you're right. the two are so vastly differnt games. i cant see effen beating white or sullivan in a game of snooker any more than a rugby team could play nfl well. wud love to see efen play snooker though, wudnt u?

  • @stitcha123 Actually Efren did play snooker..against Ronnie and Jimmy for money and he beat them both. He made 3 centuries with his pool cue...all this coming from Daryl Peach.

  • EFREN "BATA" REYES = "The greatest Player...who ever Played the Game..."

    -jimmywhite =snooker

-efrenbatareyes =9ball..10ball..8ball...rotation...one pocket...(all of those he conquered AS A WORLD CHAMPION...BEST IN THE WORLD..)DONT COMPARE SNOOKER...BECAUSE IN GENERAL...SNOOKER IS ONLY "ONE" GAME ON THE POOLWORLD!!

  • It really isn't that big of a difference. I mean on a professional scale it is really noticable but just playing for fun, it really is no different for me.

  • Just look at the face of that idiot at 7:24

    veeery nice win efren.

  • @400timesmore "That Idiot" Wow Do You Know Who Jimmy WHite Is?

  • can you upload the whole match of this one???

  • that walk off by jimmy white turning his back after the combination 9 was just chilling haha. cool moment

  • snooker is far harder, these pockets are more like buckets!!!!

  • @andos8888 You do realize that snooker balls and International pool balls are different sizes right? The International balls are bigger than the snooker balls so pocket sizes are more-or-less the same.

  • @Pelvisman1147 yes i do realise this but look at the pocket sizes and the table size LOL massive difference.

  • @andos8888 Its not a huge difference at all. And for tournament pool, at least in professional matches, they can choose the pocket size before the matches start (Way in advance of course) and usually they pick the smaller ones. So really it is more or less the same.

  • @Pelvisman1147 no its not the same its nowhere near the same, there is a massive difference fool

  • @andos8888 idk I feel it is the same considering I play both on a regular basis. The rules are the only difference to me. Otherwise they are exactly the same.

  • @Pelvisman1147 come on man!!the game is totally different snooker is on a different level do u think Reeves could have took 7 frames of snooker of Jimmy.NO CHANCE,And how you think the pockets are the same is just beyond me no way u can play both sports.

  • @andos8888 actually reyes already beat jimmy at snooker in mone games u can ask daryl peach for that overall efren is the greatest player who ever hold a cue.

  • @Pelvisman1147 ou're apsolutely clueless and know nothing about either pool or snooker

  • @outdoorpooltable You're*, absolutely*. Learn to spell. And yes I'm so clueless because my mother was a semi-pro pool player in Arizona until she died of cancer in 1998. I know what each sport is. I just don't see a difference between them. I'm quite good at pool and snooker I've just picked up recently, but am by no means bad at it. I'm sorry that my thought process is more simple than your's when it comes to these 2 great sports.

  • Snooker players can show up at pool tourneys, have a few beers, and compete with the 'greatest' pool players.

No pool player could ever hope to compete in any way in snooker.

    It's just a fact.

  • @widebody123 efren is a snooker player though lolz

  • @xzinx

    No he's not.

  • @widebody123 I see this same old line all the time on Youtube, but it's not based on any evidence.

  • @windowpain1

How about Daryl Peach who won the 9-ball pool world champ in Manila. He is (was?) a snooker player (and only an average one at that).

  • @widebody123 lol that why efren already beat ryan and jimmy on snooker in money games.efren is the greatest ever it doesnt matter what he plays.

  • @princekody oh dear, sounds like jimmy been on the piss in manila. probably didn't dare to win in case he left in a body bag.

  • @princekody bullshit never beat them

  • how can you miss with such a small table n MASSIVE pockets?

  • @pistolpeeroy try being on telly in a room full of people with ridiculous amounts of money on the game could put you of a bit

  • 4:56...WOW. What an amazing shot

  • jimmy white is the most accurate pool player i've ever seen... but reyes is a genius

  • this commentator doesn't know his elbow from his asshole.

  • @strophish STEVE DAVIS DOESN'T KNOW HIS ELBOW FROM HIS ASSHOLE?! FCUKIN SILLY CUNT U CHAT SHIT, DO ONE SON.....

  • @strophish lol what one sid? (geordie one?)

  • i have not seen such an amazing game of pool, this is great show and both of players are sharks of pool

    i love pool

  • of course people talk negatively about stricklands table attitude, but calling someone scum of the earth in the media is just petty and over the top. ronnie once forfetited a match against hendry in snooker and it was really disrespectful, but you don't see hendry turning around and callin ronnie scum in an interview. i could go on here but u get the point. yes daryl iss a failed snooker transitioner.. he couldnt even break into the snooker rankings, or compete at the highets levels, i'll show u

  • @speedgun00 I actually miss players of Earls ilk.Today it seems that all the players behave themselves like professionals which is cool, but I do miss the colorful personalities from the 70s-80s.This is pool, not golf.Remember when the poolroom was filled with lowlifes, gamblers, hoods, rich folk, rail birds etc?Now ya can't even smoke.19$/hr,m/f leagues, atms, micro brews, tofu sandwiches? In a poolroom? No, Earl ain't what's wrong with pool.

  • @lemonite1 you dumbfuck, why do you think pool in america is in a shithole as compared to Taiwan and the Phillipines? Because of all those reminesent descriptions you mentioned... duh! If pool is going to become an accepted SPORT instead of a shitty game, it has to change for the better. That is clearly why we have people like Shane Van Boening, Hohmann, Imonnen, and Reyes are in this scene and not some bar blabber to entertain us like Strickland.

  • @SlickRick4EVER Look, call me what ya want, I live in Brooklyn.I've had worse things said to me by more impressive than you... and yes, I have been to Asia where they still gamble, smoke, cus and fight in the poolrooms, duh. Pool was bigger in the 80s and 90s because it had yet to be overrun by your homogeneous scene. There are still many of us who don't want it to become an accepted SPORT because of people like YOU not Earl.

  • @lemonite1 You remind me of the Peanuts character, Linus. I also take it that you're pretty much a low-life as well. You say that you have been to Asia... good, WHAT PARTS, EXACTLY? Elaborate. That was a FAIL in your part. Sadly, it's ignorant and old-school-totting idiots like yourself that will never get billiards into the Olympics! Pinoys need a gold metal, for a damn change. You live in Brooklyn, right? Shut up and play some 14.1, crybaby.

  • @lemonite1 His sportsmanship is terrible and immature. I agree with the bulk of your points, but I don't think it justifies Earl's behavior. I think there's no excuse for being a terrible sport.

  • @lemonite1 Alex Pagulyan??

  • THIS just shows how fucking RACIST europe was

  • serious youve exposed youself embarrasingly and now trying to cover up again? ur a joke. Plucked from the air?? ive deen that drago match.. it was against higgins, and the century wasnt even important in context. u stooped as low as to mention hustling, and said yourself that snookers more boring..but now your turning around and saying u didnt say that? this argument wont end because u keep changing your mind, and lie. due to that i wont reply to dimwits. good day

  • @speedgun00 So you try shooting down my rebuttle of stamina with irrelevance in context? How about outside of that match? Can you explain why Drago has such a fast pace even today? Snooker, compared to pool, IS boring. You're talking about pool, which has so many variations that are played. Again, you're trying to tell one side of the story and head for the back door with your tail between your legs. That's okay. You can do that. You've made your try, and while valiant, failed.
