  • I agree with every word.

  • Simply said, America, Australia, all white Christian nations should shut their borders. Murdoch is one of our problems. Why can't the Latinos, and others just stay in their own countries, make something of their countries. We do not need multiculturalism, a pagan society. America has become a multicultured pagan society. STOP IMMIGRATION.....legal and illegal. We are not to intermingle, or intermarry.

  • @LoisJD

fuck you, latino women are hot. Especially when their English sucks, that's soooo sexy, I love it.

  • @IndividualParties go back to south america beaner....

  • Although I'm not a fan of Murdoch, He's right on this issue. Australia went from a productivity rate of 2.5% in 1995/1996 to a productivity rate of under 1.0% in 2006/2007 thanks to John Howard and Peter Costello throwing tax cuts and middle class welfare at the electorate in the name of relaxation and comfort.

This is a major issue for the current government along with climate change, the aging population and 21st century education.

  • hes right Australia is going in the wrong direction it should embrace the workers like farmers and the pioneers of australia

  • you antisemite bastards!

  • a slight generalisation but there is certainly a relatively stark bludger phenomenon in this country, whether we like to admit it or not.

  • Who asked this yank for his opinion?

  • It's idiots like him that glorify making money off the backs of others...

No one wants to be a teacher anymore...they want to be businessmen and bankers...there is no money in teaching anymore. In the UK you can't even buy a house as a teacher.

And so the children do not have the support they need.

Teachers, nurses, and others who add to society should actually be the ones talking in front of crowds and making decent wages...not this propagandist.

  • You should teach over here then. Secondary college teachers can earn up to 86,000 a year, no matter how bad their students' already declining marks are.

  • australia is becoming low life americans

  • Damn right. I don't want to live in a welfare state. Is it already too late?

  • Thanks.

  • It was a brilliant speech and well examined by Andrew Bolt. Turnbull is spot on about the questions raised ..

  • How about idolising people and family.

I'm sure your relationship with your 4th wife is great. How about your children who you never see? Do you think your business partners are going to actually care when you're gone. This is what sickens me about the business elite. People in Australia already spend far too much time away from their family. Stuff the global economy.

  • I guess if you're living under a bridge without a job you've got a lot of time to spend with your family. I can't understand why people think the economy is just this ethereal thing that doesn't affect them. If the economy is bad it means that you and I don't have the ability to provide for our families. I don't think that material wealth should be everyone's focus but I think we all agree that having food on the table and a roof over your head is better for your family than not.

  • Don't be so short sighted, how do you think the people under the bridge got there? What's the point of someone having $10 billion and another person having $10. The financial system that we have is set up so the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor. Why do you think 4% of the American population controls 70% of it's wealth? Do you really want to live in a country like that? Someone should tell Rupert you can't take the money with you when you die.

  • Even if only 0.1% of the country controlled 99.99% of the wealth, it wouldn't be relevant. A slum dweller in Malawi probably owns more of Malawi's net wealth than a middle class American does of America. Who's better off?

No you cant take the money when you die but if you're too poor to afford health care, good food and shelter you'll be parted from what little worldly possessions you have a whole lot sooner. That's what a strong economy is for. So that people can afford to live and be happy.

  • Bludgers. I am sure those ex-CEO's of those failed investment banks worked "extremely hard" for there $20 million dollar bonuses too. Is that what we should all be aiming for material wealth? Were those investment bankers looking after the sick and elderly? What about money for people caring for children with cancer? Are they bludgers? Give us all a break Rupert you hypocrite.

  • He'd be a better PM!

  • what a smart guy
