I love how the romance between Archer and Maddy is realistic. When I saw that it was rated R, i figured they're gonna end up in bed when Maddy started holding Archer's hand in one of the scenes, but the director did NOT put any sex scenes unlike other directors who would sex scenes in a serious movie like Blood Diamond

this is one of those movies where im proud to admit i cried in the end, and was still tearing 10 minutes after it finished, the story the acting and the MUSIC got to me all at once, one of my favorite films and and ofcourse my favorite actors

@JiGowl72 this didn't make me cry but it touched me very but theres is one movie i cried a lot and i'm a guy, its called the shawshank redemption, if you haven't seen it yet you need to, its the most beautiful movie i have ever seen

@Doodaddaman Not as good, because danny was always influenced by greed and when he dies you see that he was actually good after all and he is the 'strong' figure in the movie whilst solomon was a weak charcter in the sence that he was just pushed around by everyone for the dimond plus danny would have just left his son as he was completely brain dead after being with the rebles saying that danny was my favorate charcter and this is my favorate peace of music ever

I watched the scene with the camera zooming out on DiCaprio's dying body over and over again. My favourite death scene along with Katsumoto's death in The Last Samurai. Edward Zwick is divine.

Is this from the scene near the end when Danny knows he isn't going to make it, and decides to call Maddy one last time? I think that was the pivotal moment for me when I suddenly thought 'wow' this actually a REALLY good film.

@FUNKYSTUFF08 Hahaha, I thought it was a good film way before that point, but this scene completely drove it home :) The music, acting/script, camera angles, and scenery (the sunset) just made it that much better. The blood running down his hand gives me chills because of the symbolism :) lol

@1RECONfilms Yep. I don't think he's ever been involved in a movie that wasn't good. Even though the critics hated 'The Beach' I love it for its escapism, cinematography, message, story, etc.
