  • dude i just was searching for a music video D:

  • There is no red spoon

  • the truth but don't try to shove it down their throats don't try to make them believe what you believe that does not help them try to come closer to GOD. Just tell them the truth and leave up to them if they want to believe.

  • @MegaMsPerfect1 I agree with you to an extent, but if the person keeps on asking questions, then I don't believe that we should simply ignore them and walk away. If they're determined not to believe, then yes leave them alone, but if they seem genuinely interested (instead of simply trying to prove you wrong) then I don't think there's any reason not to keep talking to them.

  • Being a Christian, I believe that you guys should not be arguing over something silly...I mean didn't both of you guys just watch the video. You all doing just what they were doing with the red balloon. And on top of that, your not being a good example to those that are not Christians. Going back and forth over something trivial like that is unnecessary. That just my opinion. I may not know much because I'm just a sophomore but i know better than to argue Gods word. Let the person know

  • To pick up a single marked coin on his first pick than for Jesus to fulfill all the prophecies by chance?

  • @aharmlessblackman you're making excuses. Fishermen spreading their nets means that it is a place where fishermen frequent. As for the rest of it, does any of that change the fact that it still happened? How about this? Did you know there is more valid historical evidence of Jesus Christ than Napoleon? So many prophecies were made about him, which were all carried out to the letter, that scientists say that it is more likely to fill the entire state of Texas with quarters and expect someon

  • @drivetwister I'm not denying that it happened, I'm denying that it happened due to some cryptic prophecy. Please explain the anecdote about Napoleon having less historical evidence about him.

Oh and NOW you're using scientists opinion?

  • @Aharmlessblackman the prophecy of the Island of Tyre was made hundreds (if not a thousand) years before Alexander the Great arrived and did exactly as the prophecy predicted. Exactly, as 100%, not a single mistake, down to the smallest detail. I don't think a subjective truth could do that...

  • @drivetwister I just read that and all of the 'prophecy' was simply coincidental. There is no mention of names, no mention of date, and no mention what weapons that are used. I can make a 'prophecy' too: Some day, America will experience a serious national tragedy, one that changes our lives.

There, if some great tragedy DOES happen I've just predicted it with the same amount of detail as Ezekiel 26:1-14.

  • @AHarmlessBlackMan You obviously didn't read too far into it, because they go into a great amount of detail. "Nebuchadnezzar will destroy the mainland of Tyre" (Ezekiel 26:8), Many nations against Tyre (Ezekiel 26:3), Make her a bare rock; flat like the top of a rock (Ezekiel 26:4), Fishermen will spread their nets over the site (Ezekiel 26:5), Throw the debris into the water (Ezekiel 26:12), Never be rebuilt (Ezekiel 26:14), Never be found again (Ezekiel 26:21).

  • @drivetwister First of all Nebuchadnezzar failed to destroy the mainland of Tyre. Saying many nations is a way of saying 'not sure exactly who's going to destroy this island, but someone will'. Oh really? Fishermen actually spread their nets over the site? Is that literally true? no it's not.

Of course an island that holds a political or military significance will be fought over, leaving the island destroyed. Tyre might as well have been Iwo Jima

  • @AHarmlessBlackMan There was much more at work there than "simple coincidence". If you deny that, then you are ignoring major details that are given in scripture.

  • @sbtristopher God made the church, we are the ones who couldn't Agree and made the different denominations. And I believe that most denominations can get you to heaven anyway, so long as you call upon Christ as your Lord and Savior for forgiveness.

  • Using objective truth as a metaphor for something subjective is unsound.

  • @AHarmlessBlackMan any truth can be labeled as unsound if you don't want it to be sound. the question is, who ultimately gets to decide what is and isn't sound?

  • @drivetwister Exactly. Then why is this woman KNOW that the balloon is red? Wouldn't the point then be that you should be open to ALL beliefs? So Hinduism, Judaism, Islam, Atheism would all be treated with the same respect if no one could know for sure what is true and what is not true.

  • @AHarmlessBlackMan thing is, I *do* know that Christianity is the only answer. There are tons of passages in the Bible that have been proven to be true, even if you take out the miraculous events. Prophecies made thousands of years in the past have (and are) coming true 100% the way they were predicted. If that doesn't justify the Bible's truth, then I don't know what does.

  • @drivetwister What exact prophecies? Give examples that can be proven without a doubt please.

Oh, and if you just said truth is subjective, how does one judge whether or not these prophecies are true?

  • Comment removed

  • wait I don't really get it, is the lady holding the balloon the Christian and saying that no matter what she is right because the truth is not dependent on what others believe? This sounds pretty intolerant to me. I have no problem with religious people but as soon as they make videos saying that people have beliefs that differ from theirs are wrong no matter what, its offensive.

  • @sbtristopher Christianity is intolerant. Why should we lie and say that we believe that all roads lead to God when only one does? If you were to ask me how to get somewhere, and I was to tell you that the only way to get there was by *this* road, would I be intolerant for not telling you that *that* road or *those roads* could get you there as well?

As for the planets, everything serves a purpose, even if it is beyond what we can see.

  • @drivetwister wait so you're saying only one road leads to the amazing path of salvation? why did god make different factions of Christianity like protestant, Catholic, latter day saints.. etc? is it so that you can have fun guessing which one leads to the one true path of salvation?

  • I wonder why some commenters take the time to mock the beliefs of others. Why do you go out of your way to ridicule them? Does it make you feel superior?

  • (: Aman!

  • ('

  • This is beyond ridiculous. To compare an object, that she is holding physically in her hand to a fairy tale written thousands of years ago and fictional characters none of us in today's age have ever seen or have any physical evidence of.... on which people base religion, politics, wars.... how pathetic. And no, I am not an atheist, but I truly believe religion is the worst that could ever happen to man kind.

  • Color is a light that is reflected from the object. If you consideer that the color red is the only light that is reflected, not absoverd, then red is the only color that the ballon isn't. That raises a lot of questions, right?

  • Mark looks like Charles Spurgeon ;)

  • i didnt see a balloon?

  • That is a red balloon. Every bit of evidence indicates that the balloon is there and it is red. Anyone disputing this fact is a stubborn moron blinded by indoctrination.

There's evidence for the balloon's existence and it's redness. This skit pretty much fucks Christian arguments. The balloon and it's colour are not to be disputed because we have evidence. Have you provided evidence for your religious beliefs?

  • Do we look at a great machine, with all it's parts moving in prefect unison, perfect harmony, perfect symmetry, and say that it made itself? Of course not, that'd be ridiculous. I look at our solar system. We live on a planet the perfect distance away from the sun to sustain life, and that life is able to take the nutrients that sun provides us and live. Other creatures will eat these plants, and live, and so on and so on. It all screams "intelligent design!"

  • @drivetwister then why are there planets that aren't in perfect natural equilibrium like earth is? did the intelligent designer just make those for fun?

  • Truth is truth but when you leave it for last, you don't see the damage done by lying in the first place. Or was that just confusion being put out there for a reason? I know someone that does the same. He just mixes it to leave you in the dark. Hats off for these super intelligent people. I'm sure your daddy would be so proud of you. Thank God for the Bible.

  • "It's totally purple from here!" Nice.......

  • "It's totally purple from here!!!" Hahaha! *thumbs up*

  • True, truth is truth, but the perception of the truth can vary from person to person. Suppose the first guy was partially color blind and couldn't distinguish red from green. Then who could blame him for claiming the balloon was green? Or maybe we're all colorblind and the balloon is some color that no one knows about, but it just looks red to the majority of us. So is the truth whatever the majority perceives it to be? Or is truth something so subtle and complex that no one can fully grasp it?

  • @jesubuddhafucius Some "truths" are conceived by man and while not everyone of the human race may agree with these truths, we use them to make life easier. This is red. Stop at red lights. Other Truths are not conceived by man, the Holy Scriptures are full of these. It's a mistake to equate the two.

  • The truth is, it's fun to argue, but here on YouTube no one has an open mind, and neither of you will sway the other, so it's best to stop arguing. It's better to pray for the atheist, rather than argue with him. As for the atheist, all you can do is 'hope' to convert us. ;) So cut the arguing and think about what the video is teaching!

  • @chaosrokkfreak I have an open mind and it has led me to know Christ. Why dont the atheists understand that I know what I know from experience. What makes an expert an expert? College? Am I not an expert of my self or do I need someone else to tell me what I have experienced?

  • An interesting approach.

  • Atheist says: I don't believe in God!

Christian says: Really, well I don't believe in bullets. Does my belief negate reality?

Atheist says: God just doesn't exist so his laws and your definition of Hell doesn't apply to me.

Christian says: Trucks don't exist, therefore if I stand in the middle of this highway, this so-called Truck coming towards me can't harm me cause this is not my definition of a truck and it doesn't apply to me!?

  • @mwsurber38 : )

  • @mwsurber38 no, you'll just be hit by a truck.

  • @mwsurber38 I dont get this!! It makes no sense what so ever!!

  • @mwsurber38 Doesn't it seem a little weird that based on a 70-100 year period (which to the "ever-present, ever-powerful God" should seem nothing,) you get judged then placed into either eternal, inescapable agony, or eternal happiness with the one true god?

  • @mwsurber38 but bullets and trucks DO exist!

  • @AHarmlessBlackMan no they don't. they're just figments of your imagination that you came up with to keep people from playing with guns and out of the streets. if you opened your eyes, you'd see quite clearly that there is absolutely no proof of bullets or trucks.

  • @drivetwister Not sure if you are being sarcastic or if you are just moronic.

  • @AHarmlessBlackMan As for me being sarcastic or mornonic, I was neither, simply putting some "facts" you believed to be true through the same thought process as you do my religion.

  • @drivetwister Bullets and trucks are made of matter. God is not made of matter, he is described as a being beyond the realm of our comprehension therefore no one knows what God is or isn't. We KNOW that bullets and trucks exist, why else would mwsurver38 have used them as an example that we can all relate to?

  • @Shachah223 That first part isn't true at all...she wasn't a virgin until a mistranslation.

The Catholic Church proclaimed it to be true therefore we can't question it and change it back.

Secondly, I like soup....especially Vietnamese soup but with beef, not fish.

    Thirdly, the world's existence...hell if I know.

As for the rest...if you are comparing scientific theory to magic...we can't really have a debate.

  • Comment removed

  • Too bad "truth" (aka something you have to take on faith) isn't something you can hold in your hand and quantify like a balloon. A better analogy than this video would be if the girl is telling everyone that there is a red balloon, but she cant' show it to anyone or prove that it exists. But there is a red balloon, honest!

  • Comment removed

  • Christianity is Green, Islam is Blue, Judism is Yellow...Thank you for giving me the greatest anti-religion video ever. Good Work.

  • @KhorneliusPraxx

i think you missed the point of the video. Yes there are several religions, but there is only one absolute truth. A red balloon is a red balloon is a red balloon. This obviously, (and I would like to think purposely) includes in its meaning that not all religions are correct in the assumption of what that absolute truth is.

For full disclosure purposes I will include that I believe christianity, (more specifically the bible) is where we learn of this absolute truth.

  • @tmcca2 I didn't miss the point...I knew what they were trying to imply. I also know that this video doesn't help? This video's message is anti-religion...not pro-christianity. No matter how hard you believe in something, doesn't make it true. Was young Mary a virgin when she got pregnant and gave birth to Jesus? Why, because a pope proclaimed it so? Because you want it to be true? Because it makes a good story? None of that means it happened...none of that means it is the truth.

  • KhorneliusPraxx, long before the heretical and hypocritical Pope ever blemished the Good News, it was proclaimed that Jesus was born of Mary, a virgin at the time. Did we evolve from fish and soup? Did the world come to existence by mere chance and chaos? Why, because Thales and Darwin proclaimed it to be so? Because mortal scientist now say so because it is being published in school and the Media? Because it is easier to cling to subjective experience? This doesn't mean it is true...

  • @KhorneliusPraxx

The only thing this video is implying is that truth is not relative. So I'm not quite sure what you mean by saying you "knew what they were trying to imply"? There is an absolute truth that exists throughout the world. That is strictly what this video discusses. The truth does not change based on circumstances, point of view, or personal opinion. Your logic for the rest of your comment seems flawed. No matter how much you don't believe in something, doesn't make it untrue.

  • @tmcca2 "No matter how much you don't believe in something, doesn't make it untrue." How come it doesn't work the other way for you? No matter how much you believe in something, doesn't make it true. Why is it more on me to disprove some belief that you can't prove in the first place.

  • @KhorneliusPraxx I am well aware that no matter how much you believe something, that alone doesn't make it true. I was suggesting that the whole premise of that idea is absurd. Its obvious (or at least I hope so) that something is not simply true because you want it to be true and vice versa. However, that does not mean that there is not an absolute truth that exists. Absolute truth is an idea/concept that can be separated from religion. I believe in absolute truth and in christianity.

  • A condensed version of my thought process for connecting absolute truth and christianity. It is my opinion that the bible has been shown to be historically accurate. Science has shown that the universe had a beginning, which in no way contradicts a biblical perspective. The absolute truth can be seen as moral law in a biblical sense. For there to be a moral law there must be a moral law giver (God). A supernatural being would not be governed by the laws of nature (by definition.)

  • @tmcca2 The bible has been shown to be historically accurate?! We are done here because no matter what historian, theologist, or sceptic I quote, you will not be swayed because they are all misguided pawns of satan sent here to test your unwavering faith. I would rather attempt to find the truth and the truth is, That balloon is red. There is no arguement. It is a scientifically provable fact. It is not red because she wished it to be so.

  • @KhorneliusPraxx Historically accurate in the sense that the places are real, the people are real, the events are real (I'll exclude supernatural events.) I can understand why you don't accept supernatural events as possible. Your worldview (from what I gather) comes from strictly testable physical surroundings. If you can't prove it to be so, it isn't so. However, the prophecies of the bible are quite convincing to me. History and science together convince me of God's existence.

  • lovely parable . If balloons existed while christ was on earth, i could imagine him using it to filter out the unbelievers!

  • Love it! That's the best video on tolerance I've seen yet!

  • That is the coolest brown balloon I've ever seen in my life!

  • So let's perform an experiment. What if the red ballon is God's nonexistence? Does that change anyone's perecption of what this all means? Or is this video preaching to the choir?

  • @charlzm "There is no balloon." That is the symbol in this video representing God's nonexistence . Can't change solid variables around to test "what if" experiments.

  • @charlzm

You're the one who says that there is no balloon. Truth is Truth, whether you believe it or not. You may be color blind, or blind entirely.

  • @Shachah223 - Truth is in the eye of the beholder, not the balloon holder.

  • @charlzm So, then the balloon holder isn't incorrect because she sees it as Red. If then, the color is subjective, then arguing over the color of the balloon is futile, because then people will always see differently.

  • It's not so much that truth is God's... but that God IS truth. He is the gold standard by which we measure truth. And his truth is self-evident. This video focuses on that simple fact. Truth is truth, no matter what you say about it.

  • Intolerance and disrespect. Simple. Just that.

  • Great video. In a world that does not want to deal with absolutes and truth, it is interesting to me that they are self proving. If there were no absolutes, the statement itself would be an absolute statement. The same with truth, if there was no truth, the statement itself would be a true statement proving itself to be wrong. As a former Mormon, I am glad that I now know the truth John 14:6.

  • =_=" So much pointless comments here. People debating about religion, GO AWAY and have your debates somewhere else!! o_0

  • @Spongalicous dude, this is a religious video. I can't think of a better place for it. If we can't do it in a video where God's name is actually respected, where do you want us to do it?

  • Red is red. Truth is truth. God is God. No matter what "viewpoint" you look at Him from, He will always be God. It doesn't matter how we think we see Him, it matters who He is.

  • @drivetwister Amen! : )

  • i think the balloon is red

  • @lucascusick That ballloon is red, that is a fact.

  • God loved the world so much that He gave his only son that whoever believes him will not die and go to hell, but have life forever in heaven. This is the truth. Whether you believe it or not. The consequences of your decision are your choice.

  • @babersfamily I think that this case can only be applied to real life if the balloon was hidden from everyone, and nobody knows it exists, but the woman still claims that the balloon is red.

It depends on your definition of truth. If God is real, then he must not exist, because without faith, he is nothing.

  • @NetworkHuman LOL at a secular world that is too full of pride to expand their minds and hearts

  • LOL at religious people thinking they know absolute truth.

  • @NetworkHuman

Someone has the absolute truth. it´s absolutely truth.

Is there not a absolutely truth? Are you absolutely right that is truth?

  • this is random but epic

  • this is random but epic

  • Walk by faith and not by sight... poeple just live in reality, there's more to life than just what you see...

  • This video is awesome. It shows just how ridiculous all those perspectives are with regards to religion. talk about hitting the nail on the head.

  • @hikari4light What are the ridiculous perspectives? The message in the video hardly is an argument for theism, let alone Christianity.

  • @Rhylias Perspectives on religion and the existence of God.

  • @hikari4light And what are the ridiculous perspectives on God? What is your position on the existence of God and how does this video show the ridiculous viewpoints of other perspectives?

  • @Rhylias I didn't say "ridiculous perspectives on God." I said ridiculous perspectives on the existence of God. By exemplfying that no matter how much people deny it. there is absolute truth. There is being taught right and beiing taught wrong. and when corrected or being told the truth its more often than not deemed "being intolerant. " so many truths. I believe that God exists.

  • @hikari4light And how would we know the truth on this matter?

  • @Rhylias Being told it several times, looking around you . studying history and several other subjects. etc

  • @hikari4light And that leads to the conclusion that there is a God? All I can tell from what you told me (I've done it before) is that there might or might not be a deity, omnipotent (omniscient, etc) or not.

  • @Rhylias Lol No in the end people believe whatever they want be it the truth or a lie.

  • "This video is the perfect illustration for why Hinduism is true.

Argue all you want, but the truth is the truth, no matter what anyone else believes." -- filorps, 1 day ago. Never forget the truth.

  • The moral is: Only believe what you can measure with a spectroscope. And nothing invisible.

  • The Red Balloon is evolution. Your not believing it doesn't make it any less true.

  • I'm REALLY confused...the POINT of the video is that some things are true despite in which religion or culture you may have been raised? Like scientific laws about the nature of reality (Gravity, heliocentricism, evolution, perception of color for the most part). Cause that is what I took from it. Is that the message they are trying to convey?

  • Like how there is no provable existence of any so-called god... That is true, whether you believe it or not.

  • Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away ~ Philip Dick

  • What about color-blind people? This is the funniest and dumbest thing I've seen in a while. Can I apply this to global warming as absolute truth so the idiots that deny it are shown to be nothing but uneducated dimwits?

  • They should be arguing about the color of a specific balloon that no one has ever directly observed.

And the Bible/Qiran/etc is not 'evidence' of truth anymore than the Twilight books are evidence of sparkling vampires.

  • If it was religion then her hands would be empty but she would still be going on about how the balloon she is holding is red.

  • This works both ways. No one can actually demonstrate that the balloon is red. This video almost had it right, except the redness of the balloon would have to have be unprovable by everyone.

  • It's not "true" that that's red. That's just the language used to DESCRIBE what it is. Since everyone's linguistic understanding might vary slightly, it's possible that both people are correct. Just because everyone can't agree to use a specific word doesn't mean they aren't talking about the same thing or smiler things.

The reason the other people are ridiculous is inconsistency, implying that they were simply being difficult.

This video thus succeeds in making no point whatsoever.

  • This video is the perfect illustration for why Hinduism is true.

Argue all you want, but the truth is the truth, no matter what anyone else believes.

  • @filorps pure brilliance.

  • @filorps Obvious troll is obvious. But nice twist!

  • @filorps hiduism? they're talking truth.

they're saying the truth is the truth whether we believe it to be or not.

  • @filorps there u go saying its blue .. lol while i say its red wen i refer to christianity

  • I think its funny that technically that balloon is any color but red. As our eyes are only seeing the color in which that balloon can reflect. That balloon is absorbing all of the colors in the light spectrum but reflecting only one.

It's this kind of thinking that allows people to think outside the box you are trying to put them in.

  • Hm... this video is irrelevant from the message they're trying to get out which is the god is real (yes it's pretty obvious that's the message considering many if not all their videos have to do with god as well). The difference between this skit and god is that it can be proven that in the english language red refers to that exact color. On the other hand, something on the lines of god cannot be proven, therefore rendering this video pointless.

  • @RetartedWaffles Sorry, but you've missed it. The point of the skit is that Absolute Truth exists. Denying Absolute Truth, ignoring Absolute Truth, calling Absolute Truth irrelevant does not change the fact: Absolute Truth exists. This concept is applicable to all of life. PS: I'll bet you're not really a retarted waffle, but a thoughtful and caring person.

  • @RetartedWaffles it's more broader than that, it applies to any kind of indoctrination or misinformation. Point being: be critical, make questions, if someone presents you new evidence, take the time to consider it.

  • The red balloon represents absolute truth. Many are teaching that truth is relative when it really isn't.

  • My drama class is doing this tomorrow in chapel! i am able to do the girl with the red balloon its so awesome because the words are so true and its a fun skit to do with my friends because they are such wonderful actors! :) thank you for doing this it helps reach people who need to hear!

  • puellanivis: God didnt make sin....Law didnt invent sin. He made the law for people to see that they are sinners. For example the doctor show you the results of the medical tests he made , the test show you what is wrong in your body...is the exam fault that you are sick??? The law is to make us see that we are spiritually sick.

  • yeah yeah. Has it occurred to anyone that they might be accusing the same colors but using different names? LOL.

  • this is such a good one. It teaches me some thing

  • The one who says it's read could be color blind and would actually see a green balloon. It could also be a physical reason that makes people see in black & white.

But IDK WHAT'S up w/ the ones who say yellow, blue and purple.

My entire adult background is in health care. ECG Technician, OR Technician and Paramedic.

  • Truth is relative.

  • Thier Is No Ballon!!! nyahahah nice! 5/5

  • haha love that statement "there is no baloon" haha

  • I think a more relevent question is: "What constitutes a balloon?"

  • ah i get it, im lactose intollerant so i hav to lay off the milk.

    thanks gang

  • I just wonder why in every Christian involved videos, someone has to start a argue / quarrel. The truth is truth, its up to you what you want it to be. If you dun wanna accept the truth, then in due time. Please don't regret.

  • If you hate absolute truth, you try to make yourself an absolute being. Christ is the truth

  • The Absolute truth is God, and to know His truth you have to be in the Truth, witch is God. Truth is Life and life is Truth if you know the Truth, you have life and if you have life you have God. Divine Wisdom is truth, which can not be understood without God. If you don't understand divine truth, is probably because you don't have life that comes from the TRUTH. The Truth is Jesus, and Jesus is the Truth. Do you have LIFE AND TRUTH? THANK YOU JESUS YOU ARE MY ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

  • It is a clever vid, but it makes an invalid comparrison. Obviously, the COLOR is meant to be RELIGION, with the statement that theres only one truth. Color however, is visual and definite. There really IS only one possible truth and anything else is opinion / nonsense / denial. RELIGION on the other hand, is ethereal, highly open to inerperetation, and non-provable.

  • @dangard88

Religion doesn't have to be proven...that's where you have faith....science (color) isn't necessarily true either.....they change their minds every year ( plutos not a planet, triceratops and brontosaurus aren't real, science changes) religion and science don't negate each other, they in fact go hand in hand....God creating the universe is a scientific wonder in itself. Or humans( the only intellegent bipedal mammal in the universe) they took some science...the 2 work together.

  • @MrLogada

"religion dosen't have to be proven" Yes! That's exactly my point....the vid is comparing something provable to something unprovable.

The example you give of science changing are examples of science changing the name of something. The mass known as Pluto is still out there whether it's a planet or planetoid. The fossil remains are still the same whether called 'brontosaurus', 'seismosaurus' or 'Jenkins Minor'. And the arangement / refraction of light particles stay the same.

  • im sorry. but i dont understand what this video is trying to tell me. am i supposed to be intolerant? or what? should i shove my opinion in someone's face? idk someone explain to me cuz i dont get it :P

  • Beyond GENIUS!!!

    LOVE IT!

  • but who says "truth" is "truth" matters....many times truth isn't black and white...or red in this case... human beings have experiences that interpret what is truth...sometimes truth is unknowable...yet people claim they have the "truth"...this video would prove my point if the balloon was actually a diff color and the woman was saying it was red...

  • @DanLee8884 agreed, i think it would have been a really poignant video if the balloon was a different color from all of their interpretations. by declaring that one of the people is right, they narrow the scope of the video significantly.

reinforcing the faith of "red" people by painting belittling caricatures of everyone else concerns me a bit also. taken alone it's not that bad, but knowing the nature of their other videos, the message is quite clear.

  • @DanLee8884

But it IS red, and we can plainly see that. Most things can be seen in black and white/ right and wrong perspectives. Sometimes people don't want to see the truth, and intentionally obfuscate the issue because they want to do something that is clearly wrong (to the rest of us!).

  • @tulagKY Right! Like all those people eating pork. That is explicitly forbidden, and I don't know how people can think that it is ok. God said it is wrong!!!

  • @puellanivis The pork prohibition is "old Covenant", we are now in the new Covenant, and that doesn't apply to Christians. It is a Jewish law. Jesus was Jewish you know. Try to keep up.

  • @tulagKY Ah yes, obviously Christians have an exclusive monopoly on dictating "obvious moral truth" to everyone else. And this "old vs new Covenant" thing typically doesn't stop some Christians from declaring homosexuality to be wrong via quoting the old Covenant. Math. 5:17 " I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets." You're still breaking God commandment to not eat Pork.

  • @puellanivis Dude.....God specifically told people to eat stuff....in Timothy(New Testament) it says that everything God made is holy and clean, so go ahead and eat pork or whatever....and homosexuality is condemned more than once...look at Romans 1:26-27.....so even if you just live by new testament gayness is still wrong but pork is okay lol....

  • @MrLogada Let's examine this. Your god handed down the covenant to the Jews, which restricted their diet to only what is Kosher. Then, Jesus comes along, and does not remove this restriction in his time on earth, but rather only clarifies things after he is dead. Yet, Jesus had to come to earth to die as a sacrifice for our sins. Yet, apparently your god could have just changed the rules and made it so we aren't sinning when we eat pork? Why send his only begotten son to die then? wtf?

  • @puellanivis God doesn't change the rules....Jesus came for us to be saved....and the pork thing wasn't exactly sin...it was a rule...sorta like a modern american law....the only thing was that those old school jewish dudes actually cared about their health and saw it bad to eat unhealthy meat. pork is condemned in the old books of jewish law...im not jewish man.....but the pork doesn't matter...all that does is the relationship with God through jesus, the only one pure enough to cover our sin.

  • @MrLogada The pork thing wasn't exactly sin? Who the hell is reading what they want to read into the Bible now? If your god is so perfect, why would he give inaccurate laws to the people? Like, the kosher laws, as well as allowing divorce? If your god knew that divorce FROM THE START (as stated by Jesus) was wrong and sinful, then why tell the jews that it was ok for them to do so? We have an answer, Jesus said, "because he knew you had hard hearts". If he knew that, why even make sin?

  • @puellanivis God didn't make sin...we as stupid people messed up bringing sin into the world....but God does condemn those stupid things we do...and again...those were the jewish laws of the old covenant...Jeremiah 31:31 says that a new covenant would be made...thats the old testament...jeremiah was a prophet....he was told by God...this change was planned from the beginnig dude...God knew he would have to send Jesus...so he knew there would be a change with the new covenant.

  • @MrLogada God is omnipotent. If he didn't make Sin, then he allowed it to be made, and since he could have interfered, then he is responsible for it. Jesus said, "I came not to destroy the law, but to fulfill it." Divorce being disallowed was stated by Jesus, and thus part of the new covenant, whereas the old covenant allowed divorce.

The question is: why allow people to sin under an old covenant, when he was just going to supplant it with a freer covenant? What an ass...

  • @puellanivis He didn't interfere in the sin getting started because we aren't his little playthings and we're not robots. he gives us free wil because he loves us.. how we choose to use it (usually making wrong choices) is our fault. he won't make us do anything, because he wants us to freely accept him, not be forced to worship him like some crazy cult. and the new covenant has one big difference. Jesus died to cover our sin...through a relationship with God, in the new cov. sins are erased.

  • @MrLogada But that is the point, isn't it? Jesus died to cover all our sin, so what is wrong with homosexuality? Huh? Did Jesus come and die for all sins BUT homosexuality? What of those parts of the old covenant not explicitly affirmed or rejected? Sure divorce was made wrong, and eating pork ok, but what of keeping the sabbath holy? Should we read our own interpretation into what parts of the old covenant are to apply, like claiming the balloon is blue?

  • @puellanivis Jesus covered all sin, but that doesn't mean we purposefully do them...it's sin and if we believe in God and all that, then we should want that relationship with him.. and we stop (or at least try to) doing bad things on purpose. All of the stuff that were told is wrong under the new covenant is wrong. and those are the things that we're forgiven for IF we ask for forgiveness and turn away from those wrongdoings.

  • @MrLogada So, like men wearing long hair? You know, like how Paul said it is disgraceful. And women talking in church as well.

  • @puellanivis Dude...PAUL said that...didn't jesus have long hair? or samson? and their are places in the bible where shaving is considered shameful.....i cant really say for sure, im not God.....

  • @MrLogada And Paul is the one who condemned homosexuality. Jesus did not express a direct word about homosexuality. I'm just figuring, since you're including a ban on homosexuality as part of the new covenant, that Paul was then your goto source. You know... since Paul wrote Romans, which you EXPLICITLY pointed out to me as justification for being against homosexuality.

Also, it's unknown what kind of hair Jesus wore, although Samson must have had long hair.

  • @puellanivis Well, anyway all this stuff is kinda unimportant....I just wanna know are you a christian? DO you believe in God at all?

  • @MrLogada Of course logical dissonance in your beliefs of Christianity are unimportant... why would you ever want to have well reasoned and logical beliefs?

  • @puellanivis What? dude...i meant that stuff isnt imporrtant when compared to the relationship with God...so wil you answer my question?

  • @MrLogada First, "puella nivis" is Latin for "girl of the snow". Second, your relationship with any god is unimportant when compared to making sure that your beliefs are logically sound and rational. If they're not rational, then hell, why don't you just worship Satan? I mean, what if your god told you to go kill your favorite son, would you do it? If you wouldn't then you don't truly believe, if you would, then you're deranged schizophrenic who is a danger to society. Wake up.

  • @puellanivis Well....I'm not going to arue anymore, coz i can see that it's not doing any good....but whatever....

  • @MrLogada

See, this is what bugs me. Religious people can't even stand up for their own beliefs when confronted with the reality of the situation.

  • @Yanma If you looked, you'd see i stood up for like a week. and what you feel is reality and i feel is are two different things....sorry if this offends you, but i guess well see in the end....consider one thing....if im wrong, what have i done? if there's no God ive just been a decent person...but if you're wrong, and there is a God...well, then your in eternal torment....something to think about.

  • @MrLogada

There are hundreds of religions, all of them without any evidence or reasoning to support them. What if you are wrong about Islam? What if you are wrong about the various Nordic religions? You'd be just as bad off as I am. The only difference between the two of us is that I don't live my life in fear of incurring divine wrath, and neither should you.

  • What about color-blind people, who honestly can't see the difference between red & green? What about fully blind people, who can't see at all? Do you treat them like they don't "want" to see? Like they are only pretending to be blind, because they want to sin?

Yes, you do. Because Christianity teaches you this lie: that there are no color-blind people, only willful "enemies of God" deserving eternal torment. Teaches you there are no honest errors, just evil liars.

    That's the intolerance.

  • @ericvonl LOL christianity doesn't teach that there aren't any color-blind people nor does it teach you that there are no honest errors. Ever read Genesis 20:2-20:6? Proverbs 24:12? God even shows mercy to those who don't know him in the old testament. God told his people not to touch the ark. Uzzah who worshipped God, touched it to keep it from falling and got struck down. The Philistines who worshipped Dagon touched the ark several times after stealing it. They didn't die. Just got sick.

  • @DanLee8884 Uh, no, it would make the woman look like an idiot, just like almost everyone else who's bought into postmodernism.
