Stylish 3D Text Effect | Photoshop CS5 Extended Tutorial

One quick question abot the 3d text.. Is it possible to smooth them out? Not feather the outlines, but actually smooth the letter itself to not make it so.. "Pointy"

3D is greyed out... I'm on a macbook pro with 8GB RAM, Intel i7 2,99 GHz and a Nvidia GTX 380 video card ... WTF is going wrong!?

@Th0mas123 Go to Photoshop's Preferences, then go to the 3D category, and make sure OpenGL is enabled.

@ChChCheckItsClan Jup it was ;) ... i think you can only apply 3D effects in RGB format and not in CMYK... (?) That's the only thing that worked for me tough :)

@ZProductionstudio you can in the Extended addition only. 3D capabilities is really the only difference between Extended and non-Extended.

Brandon/Eli, I'm on a Mac, and the Alt-Backspace doesn't seem to do anything. The layermask is on my M (Initials M.J). I lasso'd the J that's behind the M, and I TRY to do Alt-Backspace and it doesn't seem to work.

@MplaysMC It seems you've already figured it out, but just for future reference, every PC shortcut that uses Ctrl changes to Cmd (the Apple Logo) for Macs. Every PC shortcut with Alt in it changes to Opt on Mac. Example: Ctrl+Alt+Shift+E on PC is Cmd+Opt+Shift+E on Mac =)

@TheChunholam Ah, yeah that one's a sneaky little douchebag. To fix that you need to go to Window > Character, and on the bottom-left of the menu you'll see a bold letter T. Make sure that is NOT selected =)
