I believe he shook his hand before shaking hands with Novak. He shook umpire's hand and than crossed net to congratulate Novak.

It is clear by this last match that Tsonga had a moment of "inspiration" against Nadal who was taken by surprice as he did not expect Tsonga to play that well! Here he didn't! And the tennis of Djokovic is soooooo clearly better than Tsonga's! Now for us -supporters of Nadal "the champion", it would have been better if Tsonga win but it does feel good that the better player wins! So congrats to Novak!!
