Well first i suggest that you make sure you back up the world before playing with it in MCedit or any similar program. and second thing is that you just use MCedit or a similar program to change the seed to get rid of the snow/ice biome. i have had to do that for quite a few of my older worlds

USE LOLEDITER!!! you can change your seed to your world and it will change the biome too!!

I had a snow biome where my house was at but now its a forest biome!

Thumbs up so he can see, its alot easier then MCedit. Then use the /thaw command in single player commands to get rid of ice and snow.

Drags, why not use my super simple mod that stops weather? All you do is drag one little file into your minecraft jar file.. If you're interested, just go to minecraftforum (DOT) net/topic/946124-110-acid1103s­-mods and download the mod called No More Weather.
