one of my favorite schubert lieder. i actually thought this key (original key i believe) is to low for him. it sounds best in a bass, bass-baritone voice (love the hans hotter recording). and i thought the low note at the end proved it

and yes (ericbrockway), its "auf der donau" not "an der donau"

@ah332 - Well, I'm just a layperson, I dont have technical knowledge. I could not find Hans Hotter to compare it but listening to this vd again I suppose you're right about that low note at the end being rather too low for DFD. It does not have enough strength.
