I have an iPad 2 and honestly there really isn't much point in it. Sure you can read books, but the kindle does it better. It is fine for web browsing, but it is too big to hold for long periods of time, the "smart cover" doesn't provide enough support when it is oriented vertically, sure it can run some cool applications, but it is by no means a laptop or even ultrabook replacement. It simply is not a stand-alone device. Apple cripples it too much, even on iOS 5. I rarely have a use for it.

The only good thing about Apple is Quartz, the graphic system under. That's why the rendering is so smooth even under a shitty machine like the ipad (arm 1Ghz + 256 mb Ram) But now are aviable nvidia tegra 2 powered tablet at half the price of the ipad with AMAZING performance. @mclaine33 - my mum has an iPad and tbh, i use it alot but not as much as i use my iPhone. Yes, the novelty of having an iPad is amazing, but after a while it get's in your way and it get's boring. It's seems to me that the iPad should of got made before the iPod touch because normally companies upgrade things and make them more portable, but no apple have made an exact replica of and iPod tonch and made it bigger and less portable. It doesn't make sense to me why someone would buy one.

What is Ipad? Ipad is overpriced. Ipad is the biggest phone you have ever seen. Ipad is probably very uncomfortable to type on. There's no right way. It's crazy useless. It's magical? You already know how to use it if you had an Iphone, because its the same thing, but can't make calls. it has 200000 useless gimmicky apps, as opposed to the millions available on PC's. It apparently has ALL the web sites, as if we should expect only some of them. Its already a revolution, but nothing new.
