I miss the old Texas Giant so much. Idc what people say. It was the feeling that the whole ride was about to collapse in on itself that made it so exhilarating. Kind of like a scary mine cart ride in a lost tomb. It's a fun ride now, but where's the thrill?

They renovated the ride. There's more metal in it now, it's bigger, and more extreme. They had to renovate it because it was so old- my parents worked there as teenagers when it first opened in the 1970s :)

I didn't like this one that much. The pain took over the fun in my opinion. A good coaster shouldn't hurt but I'm not a big fan of wooden rollercoasters anyway =)

i want to ride this. this thing looks fun...and about as rough as the son of beast at kings island. you know i bet this ride was designed after the SOB (cuz of the craziness of the drops and turns). the SOB is actually a wooden coaster prototype to basically see how crazy wooden coasters can get. to this day it has the record of the first and only wooden coaster in the world with a loop. its a very awesome ride. i got to ride it with and without the loop...the loop was better lol.

@l4anyrat the sad part about the son of beast is that the loop was taken out after an accident back in like 06 or 07. the only reason the loop was taken out was cuz when the accident happened, the park decided to change to completely different train; the new trains are shorter and lighter, and therefore didnt have the momentum to clear the loop. in an unrelated incident 2 years ago, about halfway through the park season, it was shut down indefinitely and is still closed :(

My cousin and I got bored one day and decided to take a few spins. The first few times were great.. but we were also a little "banged up". So we decided one more time to go... and this time, the very back car. The second half of the ride was so rough and whipped us around so badly that we were actually in pain as we spun through the last turn and bunny hops. That was enough and we both limped and cried all the way to the nearest restaurant to lick our wounds. Fun... but, sometimes painful.

this is by far the best wooden roller coaster i have been on :) it has everything a wooden rollercoaster should have, the steep drops, spped, bashing your heads all over the place, the occasional traing doing small jump of the tracks XD everytime i ride this I laugh so hard...i love it and miss home

ok i have to give the guy filming his props yeah its shaky but not as bad as it could be cause this ride was terrible and it gave me a horrible headache after riding it it literally shook me too hard to get to that point which is why they tore this ride down and are putting a new version up
