Dogs of any breed are only as vicious as their owners make them. The only reason Pitbulls have such a bad rep is 1) Because of the name, and 2) Because of so many of them being owned by dumbass yobs and chavs who think having a fighting dog makes them "hard". Those Pitbulls in the video were lovely and i wouldn't mind caring for one if I had the chance.

Any pit bull terrier over 65 pounds is either mix bred, backyard bred, or bred to be a status symbol, the breeder typically won't breed for temperament or stability, but instead breeds for sized and color. The favorite color of backyard breeders is blue, they try and call it "rare" your dog is probably very nice, but the breeder you got it from probably either didn't know much about PB's or just wanted to make a quick buck.
Yeah, we had a chow-chow when I was a kid, and people said she'd "turn" on us. Of course, she never did. She was the sweetest, gentlest, most loving dog I've ever known. She was raised with love, not cruelty.

Owning a pit bull is an excellent way to let the world know you will never get into a good college or reproduce with someone who isn't related to you. :)
Im a pitbull breeder myself and still think these dogs are the most beautiful dogs in the world, i garuntee that if you gave a Red Nose Pitbull the same training as a German Shepard, the Pitty would leave the Shepard behind. Their not "Natural Born Killers", although they have the potential to be, they are infact Natural Born Heavy Duty Machines. If you manage to find yourself a Pitbull thats hungry to please you, the possibilities are endless.
Any dog can be trained to be a vicious attacker and blood thirsty killer. It all depend on the owner/ trainer. Look at some kids in todays world. If you show a child its ok to act like punk and a thug then how do you really think that child is going to act. This is a great breed of dogs, very loyal, very loving. It all depends on what kind of energy is put into the dog.

At first when I Saw the start of this video, I thought it was Vid about Cruelty towards animals. I was wrong. Pities are not to be hated for what they are, It's the people who train them who should be hated. Pities don't deserve to die just because of who they are. This was a Great video showing how wonderful the pit bull breed it. Bravo!
In college, me and my roommates got a pit bull. We got it from a nice family that bred it. We were so nice to it. My roommate and his girl treated it like their child. BUT IT WAS AN ABSOLUTE SAVAGE. It was cool with us, because she knew us. But it chewed up the entire house (mainly the wood workings, we had a really old house), it bit any stranger that tried to touch it, it fought other dogs constantly, it tore up the yard... kids, think before you get one, they can be nasty dogs...
pitbulls are very loving and intelligent animals they can be mis treated a lot but that's just how people look at them they are not really mean animals ive never had one but I know tons of information and I dont think badly about them there just like any other thing in the world you can love them and they can make you happy I also know that there great with kids and other animals if you are looking for one I suggest you make sure that they have no fighting blood in them and geat your papers!!!!

First of all I love the breed our pitbull is a huge LOVER i went into my parents house to our pitbull outside for awhile ... as i walked into the room i went to grab him and he just LICKED me to death like morning!!!
Both sides are right. Not the owners fault either its the breed itself. There needs to be classes for what to expect and how to train them. Also limit ownership to qualified individuals. Watts Coimpton and South L.A has them running loose in the streets daily. Lots of kids and diaper wearing babies on those streets while parents go talk to neighbors and just scream for the kids to come back I lived in Compton there once. I Remember it. Accident waiting to happen and usually does.

The scene with the laundry basket, on the bed playing in clothes, guy stepping over him/her in the hall are DEAD ON! The only time I run from my babies are when I come home. The tail wagging hurts if it catches you. Some of you know exactly what I'm talking about. But I would not change a thing. I LOVE PIT BULLS! If you fight them or train them to attack is where you are going to run into trouble. Don't do that! They are an awesome,smart,.loving dog!!!

i love pitbulls!!! i have 2 and they seriously are the BIGGEST babies. one of them is scared of garbage bags, the hair dryer, AND ceiling fans haha. dont discriminate, just educate! it takes a strong, deteremined, leader to own a pitbull, they have to know you are in charge. as im typing this one of my pits just came and laid down on my laptop haha, guess thats my cue to go!

People neglect the Pit Bull Terriers history. The dog has been bred for thousands of years for warfare and fighting. It isn't the dogs fault! It is MANS fault!
Take a video/film class before you try to make a video and prove a point. Type must honor content. I suggest redoing this video. If you are going to try to convince pit bull haters, you must only include clips that show these dogs are not aggressive. Everything you put in this video must be critiqued.This video is not convincing.

I love your ideas but I think some of the clips you chose still show pit bulls as vicious (even when they are doing things that all dogs do. For example, the cat-biting. The part where he is holding the cat is cute but before that it is still vicious. Also, why not change the typeface from that raggedy-style to geneva, times, helvetica or something clean? Again, good video and points about pit bulls. It just needs so re-working.
@khaliope00 Re-working? How is the dog displaying aggression towards the cat in this video? And why does the font that I use for the video-matter? Are you sure you saw the dog behaving viciously toward the cat? For that matter, pit bulls are animal aggressive-that is to be expected and it is made clear by breeders in breed books. So to me-presenting the pit bull as a dog that is not athletic, energetic or potentially animal aggressive is painting an inaccurate picture.
@khaliope00 ppl need to have an accurate idea of the dog they are bringing into their home and a lot of pit bulls are animal aggressive. So while I think it is clear from the video, that this dog was not attempting to physically hurt the cat, obviously ppl are going to twist what they see around like you're doing now.

Thank you for posting this video. I have two pitbulls that are wonderful loving dogs and I hate seeing the way they are made out to be in the media. And for all of you that are saying all pitbulls are dangerous, I have been bitten by a yorkie, a chihuahua and a shi zu, but never a pitbull. Any moron can tell you it's all in how the dog is raised and how responsible it's owners are.

Not only do I like this video, I LOVE it! Great job! I have been working with pit bulls for years, and I have to tell you, when I see one, I don't think "pit bull", I think "dog". They are some of the smartest and most loving dogs I've ever seen. If someone was bitten by one, I have to ask: was the dog socialized, was it fixed, and what did the person do to provoke getting bit? SAVE PIT BULLS FROM IGNORANT PEOPLE! Thats a far cry from the "thousands of children killed every year" that you claim. Any dog can be trained to be a vicious attacker and blood thirsty killer. It all depend on the owner/ trainer. Look at some kids in todays world. In college, me and my roommates got a pit bull. We got it from a nice family that bred it. We were so nice to it. My roommate and his girl treated it like their child. BUT IT WAS AN ABSOLUTE SAVAGE. It was cool with us, because she knew us. But it chewed up the entire house (mainly the wood workings, we had a really old house), it bit any stranger that tried to touch it, it fought other dogs constantly, it tore up the yard... kids, think before you get one, they can be nasty dogs...

Both sides are right. Not the owners fault either its the breed itself. There needs to be classes for what to expect and how to train them. Also limit ownership to qualified individuals. Watts Coimpton and South L.A has them running loose in the streets daily. Lots of kids and diaper wearing babies on those streets while parents go talk to neighbors and just scream for the kids to come back I lived in Compton there once. I Remember it. Accident waiting to happen and usually does.

I love your ideas but I think some of the clips you chose still show pit bulls as vicious (even when they are doing things that all dogs do. For example, the cat-biting. The part where he is holding the cat is cute but before that it is still vicious. Also, why not change the typeface from that raggedy-style to geneva, times, helvetica or something clean? Again, good video and points about pit bulls. It just needs so re-working.

Are you sure you saw the dog behaving viciously toward the cat? For that matter, pit bulls are animal aggressive-that is to be expected and it is made clear by breeders in breed books. So to me-presenting the pit bull as a dog that is not athletic, energetic or potentially animal aggressive is painting an inaccurate picture.

@TheDeviantGamer i dont give a fuck. i went to the dog beach and seen a pitbull owner walking his pit and he let it off his chain and the first thing he did was go attack another dog in the water for no reason. my rottweiler is 135 lbs and plays with all dogs big or small and never attacks anyone even when the little dogs snap at him. and ppl try to act like pits and rots are the same. i say fuck pitbulls they are as stupid as their owners.

@kylewpruitt No, they're are horrible owners for all dogs and all types of pets. The main issue is that these dogs are misunderstood and they are too many false, ignorant, and unresearched stereotypes that are attached to them.

Who ever thinks these are a more 'dangerous' breed needs to get out and do actual research instead of worshiping the media. If you can't be bothered to research, then don't argue that they are dangerous.
Now I will agree, pitties are 1 of the more likely breeds to develop dog aggression if not socialized (just like my little aussie terrier is), but they are no more likely then other breeds to be human aggressive. Humans would not breed a human aggressive dog. Not even the dumb ones.

people need to grow up and learn that pitbulls are indeed killers. they are ill tempered and can snap at any moment. each year thousands of children are killed in attacks by pitbulls. it is time for the dogs to go!
