it´s very hard to have a favorite artist, there is so much creativity going around so many female singers making such wonderful music, I love Regina, Kate, Nina, Tori, Fiona, María Rivas, Mercedes Sosa, Janele Monae, Grace Jones, Lady Gaga, heavens.....it´s a cycle that never ends and what makes it all that more amazing is that no matter how old you get you will still find great artists to make your choice of a favorite even harder.

My book SAVED makes reference to the Clark girls visiting the character's church, that is loosely based on my life and others growing up. Anyways, in real life I grew up with the Clark Singers amongst others famous singers who frequented my real church, Progressive Baptist in St. Louis, back in the 70s under Reverend Linton (who has passed on). These girls (when young) used to tear our church up!!
